I cannot comprehend that long a time in pain and suffering. I’m just coming up and one year for myself …. and yes, it is exhausting. I just wanna take a short break! May the Good Lord be your solace and support during these times. 🙏🏻
Be Sure to ask Jesus to use that time for His good purpose to save souls!! Don't waste suffering. It is absolutely valuable to you and more importantly others. Try not to be angry at it. "If you wish to follow me pick up your cross" Jesus know that our lives will always have from time to time crosses to bear. Use this time, until times get better, for good purpose. It is not a waste. It will break eventually and you will be in better shape. All things eventually pass.
This month in the early weeks of the new year.. I lost my great uncle and my great beautiful friend who died of pancreases disease. And she helped me when I was going through depression & suicidal thoughts and she saved my life by God through a text. And I’m trusting in God in this year! I’ve suffered a lot but I’m not giving up. Yup. Life isnt easy, especially when you ruin it from stupid mistakes and have to live with the consequences. Life is difficult and i made it even more difficult for myself 😂 BUT i am feeling the very subtle changes in my ability to accept the difficulties because im not alone. Every now and then, the serenity prayer comes to mind: God, grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change; the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference
You certainly aren’t alone in the stupid mistakes department. I have made mistakes so deep and wide I’m afraid I’ll suffer from them for the rest of my life. I do believe the Lord can redeem our past and bring fruit from it, though. All things are working together for good for those who are called according to His purpose!

Sounds like you need to add some spiritual warfare prayers daily (Couple times a day-unity flame of love) and armor of god-St Patrick’s Breastplate is very good.
Its been difficult for me since 2003. In the past 20 years l cared for my parents through cancer and passing away. Got married and divorced. I'm a full time single parent. Mum of 2 children both born with disabilities. My firstborn died at 4, twelve years ago. My son has recently received a second disability diagnosis in addition to his primary disability. He is 14. I'm tired. I'm exhausted. I wish life was just a little bit easier. Instead it has just levelled up to harder.

St. Francis De Sales said "Love the abjection" in his book "Introduction to the Devout Life." It is his feastday today. I found that part of his book difficult. But, this video makes it easier. By "loving the abjection" we can endure it easier. When we resist it, we make it feel so much worse than it really is. And we should learn to accept God's will for us and trust in his plan.
My dad always use to tell me that whatever I was going through was just "a bad moment to go through, nothing else". He helped me understand that I allowed to be tired, rest and then keep fighting with the help of Jesus, because it was never permanent. I miss him everyday. ❤

When my kids were babies I was venting to a friend who was also a mom, but her kids were teens at the time. I was telling her how tired I was and always in survival mode just trying to make it through each day. I was saying that I couldn’t wait for them to be older so I can actually sleep and things will be easier. She told me that as your kids get older, it’s doesn’t get easier, it just gets harder in different ways. That really stuck with me. Now my kids are teens and I completely understand what she meant. I might be getting full night sleeps now, but there’s so much now to worry about that I didn’t have to think about when they were babies.
And one day, when they've flown away to build their own nests, you'll think back to these times with a fervent longing. At every stage, we need to make the effort to continue growing ourselves (through our relationships, hobbies, volunteering, etc.) so as to sort of refresh ourselves and prepare for the next phase of challenges that will inevitably come our way. ❤

I’m not fighting anymore, I’m existing. Despite myself. It isn’t abut life being hard or being easy it’s about life being ridiculously overwhelming and exhausting with zero purpose. I was forced to survive cancer battling it for years of treatments and surgeries. Post cancer is inability to hold a job after having to close my business during cancer. Being stuck in a place I never agreed or wanted to live and being so tired I end up back in bed within two hours of getting out of bed. It wasn’t worth it at all. I haven’t even gone to follow ups in years because I couldn’t care less if it came back. I’ll never fight it again.
Father Mike, you’re right I’m 75 father life doesn’t get easier. It gets a little better but do you know what father you brought a lot of things into my life just the teaching that you do thank you thank you for being there. For someone who has to get through each day completing my tasks in chronic pain, I don't wish it were easier, I pray that, if it be His will, He grants me a share of His healing grace some day, completely or partially, so I may serve those He charged me with in life better. He's been known to say "yes" to many people when asked. Until then, I ask for the grace of strength to be able to keep doing the minimum I have been able to do, so as to ease the burden of those around me. Although it's a struggle to understand why and what He's wanting me to do with such limitations, it has definitely taught me that my help won't come from this world, but from Him, in whose hands I place it all.

I think this will be my last video I watch here. Everytime I watch one of these I read the comments and they’re 100% positive. I’m very depressed. I don’t usually wish life were easier. I wish it were over. This video didn’t “speak directly to me” like it seemed to do for so many. Don’t misunderstand me, I am grateful that so many people are feeling inspired by Father Mike. That is a good thing….but it makes me feel all the more broken that I never am. These videos come highly recommended to me, but I think I just need to stick prayers and guidance from real life loved ones and the Holy Spirit to get through each long day.
It’s okay to feel like it doesn’t apply to you. We are all in our own unique position. It did speak directly to me and made me double down on the reality of my present life: alone, scared, bullied, intimidated and exhausted. It’s impossible for me to believe God is with me despite Fr Mike’s best intentions. We are human beings and rely on our feelings. I don’t know how not to do that.

I wrote the previous comment because the hype around these videos makes it seem like you feel better right after watching them or just by pondering on Father Mike’s words and I haven’t experienced that. However, that doesn’t mean I haven’t experienced some moments of hope in the darkness. The pain returns, but I know having people pray for me and praying for people in return has soothed it a bit.

Ive recently had moments where vidoes like these do offer something for me to keep going but there was a kong oeriod of time where it wasnt. And even when it did apply, it was short lived. Ive struggled keeping up with life for as long as i can remember and life has been even more heavy these past couple years. And thinking about the future, i try to not even do it but just kepe up with the present day and do my best. Often im feeling like i failed. Im praying for you both, may you both be granted strength, perseverance, and peace. Please dont give up. We are under spiritual attack, so many are feeling fearful, alone, depressed and anxious, let us let jesus take care of it and surrender whatever weighs on us to him. One of my favorite stories from a friend of mine: their very wanted, very long-tried for baby was about 4 weeks old and going through a colicky phase. It was about 4 am when they finally got her down for the first time that night, and he sat and looked at his wife and said 'it's going to be like this for the next 18 years, isn't it' and the answer to that is...kinda lol. But it gets easier.
No, life doesn't get easer. It just keeps getting harder. And its not fair either. Which is probably why 'the lament' has so central a place in the history of prayer. I gave up on the idea of things getting easier way back when I was a kid. The trick is, and its something I'm always working on, is not hardening my heart to match the hardness of life. THAT requires Grace. And prayer. Its also worth mentioning, there's a lot we can do to make it easier for other people. We don't have to just throw the hardness of life in their face. I suppose that's where acts of Mercy come in. And, kind words.
💙 absolutely 💙 At times, we forget that Jesus is with us when the going gets tough! So, it's about acceptance, facing our presenting situation.. and remembering that we can unburden our load in the lap of our Lord .. thank you once again.

I have been through one of the toughest times of my life. My Big Brother passed away almost 2 years ago and that has been the worst time of my life. Then my oldest Nephew, who I've always thought of a Little Brother (My Momma raised him until he was about 5 yrs old) and I had a horrible big fight. Finally I mended the fences. I reached out to him, and said 7 words. "I'm so sorry and I love you." And he is back in my life. It doesn't matter who was right or wrong, I really wanted him back. By the grace of God, I was able to forgive both him and myself. I'm not going to lie and say things are perfect now. I'm still dealing with my Brother's death. But when I got down on my knees and started praying, things have turned around. I don't know if I will ever find peace with how my Brother died, but I am not alone anymore. I was begging God for understanding and finally I prayed to our Father in Heaven about it. I'm not sure if the answer to my Prayer was No or Not Yet. But I know God answered me. That was enough. God, please be with me always.

In the past 20 years l cared for my parents through cancer and passing away.
Got married and divorced. I'm a full time single parent.
Mum of 2 children both born with disabilities. My firstborn died at 4, twelve years ago.
My son has recently received a second disability diagnosis in addition to his primary disability. He is 14.
I'm tired. I'm exhausted.
I wish life was just a little bit easier.
Instead it has just levelled up to harder.

You are loved and not alone, even when it feels so empty. Hold on. Try and remember blessings in your life ( there is always something, however little). St. Francis De Sales said "Love the abjection" in his book "Introduction to the Devout Life." It is his feastday today. I found that part of his book difficult. But, this video makes it easier. By "loving the abjection" we can endure it easier. When we resist it, we make it feel so much worse than it really is. And we should learn to accept God's will for us and trust in his plan.

My dad always use to tell me that whatever I was going through was just "a bad moment to go through, nothing else". He helped me understand that I allowed to be tired, rest and then keep fighting with the help of Jesus, because it was never permanent. I miss him everyday. ❤

When my kids were babies I was venting to a friend who was also a mom, but her kids were teens at the time. I was telling her how tired I was and always in survival mode just trying to make it through each day. I was saying that I couldn’t wait for them to be older so I can actually sleep and things will be easier.
She told me that as your kids get older, it’s doesn’t get easier, it just gets harder in different ways. That really stuck with me.
Now my kids are teens and I completely understand what she meant. I might be getting full night sleeps now, but there’s so much now to worry about that I didn’t have to think about when they were babies.
And one day, when they've flown away to build their own nests, you'll think back to these times with a fervent longing. At every stage, we need to make the effort to continue growing ourselves (through our relationships, hobbies, volunteering, etc.) so as to sort of refresh ourselves and prepare for the next phase of challenges that will inevitably come our way. ❤

I’m not fighting anymore, I’m existing. Despite myself. It isn’t abut life being hard or being easy it’s about life being ridiculously overwhelming and exhausting with zero purpose. I was forced to survive cancer battling it for years of treatments and surgeries. Post cancer is inability to hold a job after having to close my business during cancer. Being stuck in a place I never agreed or wanted to live and being so tired I end up back in bed within two hours of getting out of bed. It wasn’t worth it at all. I haven’t even gone to follow ups in years because I couldn’t care less if it came back. I’ll never fight it again.
This came at a great time, thank you Father.

For someone who has to get through each day completing my tasks in chronic pain, I don't wish it were easier, I pray that, if it be His will, He grants me a share of His healing grace some day, completely or partially, so I may serve those He charged me with in life better. He's been known to say "yes" to many people when asked. Until then, I ask for the grace of strength to be able to keep doing the minimum I have been able to do, so as to ease the burden of those around me. Although it's a struggle to understand why and what He's wanting me to do with such limitations, it has definitely taught me that my help won't come from this world, but from Him, in whose hands I place it all.

I think this will be my last video I watch here. Everytime I watch one of these I read the comments and they’re 100% positive. I’m very depressed. I don’t usually wish life were easier. I wish it were over. This video didn’t “speak directly to me” like it seemed to do for so many. Don’t misunderstand me, I am grateful that so many people are feeling inspired by Father Mike. That is a good thing….but it makes me feel all the more broken that I never am. These videos come highly recommended to me, but I think I just need to stick prayers and guidance from real life loved ones and the Holy Spirit to get through each long day.
It’s okay to feel like it doesn’t apply to you. We are all in our own unique position. It did speak directly to me and made me double down on the reality of my present life: alone, scared, bullied, intimidated and exhausted. It’s impossible for me to believe God is with me despite Fr Mike’s best intentions. We are human beings and rely on our feelings. I don’t know how not to do that.

I wrote the previous comment because the hype around these videos makes it seem like you feel better right after watching them or just by pondering on Father Mike’s words and I haven’t experienced that. However, that doesn’t mean I haven’t experienced some moments of hope in the darkness. The pain returns, but I know having people pray for me and praying for people in return has soothed it a bit.

Ive recently had moments where vidoes like these do offer something for me to keep going but there was a kong oeriod of time where it wasnt. And even when it did apply, it was short lived. Ive struggled keeping up with life for as long as i can remember and life has been even more heavy these past couple years. And thinking about the future, i try to not even do it but just kepe up with the present day and do my best. Often im feeling like i failed.
Im praying for you both, may you both be granted strength, perseverance, and peace.

Yes we are not alone even at those darkest deepest moment
One of my favorite stories from a friend of mine: their very wanted, very long-tried for baby was about 4 weeks old and going through a colicky phase. It was about 4 am when they finally got her down for the first time that night, and he sat and looked at his wife and said 'it's going to be like this for the next 18 years, isn't it' and the answer to that is...kinda lol. But it gets easier.
No, life doesn't get easer. It just keeps getting harder. And its not fair either. Which is probably why 'the lament' has so central a place in the history of prayer. I gave up on the idea of things getting easier way back when I was a kid. The trick is, and its something I'm always working on, is not hardening my heart to match the hardness of life. THAT requires Grace. And prayer. Its also worth mentioning, there's a lot we can do to make it easier for other people. We don't have to just throw the hardness of life in their face. I suppose that's where acts of Mercy come in. And, kind words.
Conforming to the will of God ❤ being grateful and thankful for the moment especially in the difficult moments.

I have been through one of the toughest times of my life. My Big Brother passed away almost 2 years ago and that has been the worst time of my life. Then my oldest Nephew, who I've always thought of a Little Brother (My Momma raised him until he was about 5 yrs old) and I had a horrible big fight.
Finally I mended the fences. I reached out to him, and said 7 words. "I'm so sorry and I love you." And he is back in my life. It doesn't matter who was right or wrong, I really wanted him back. By the grace of God, I was able to forgive both him and myself. I'm not going to lie and say things are perfect now. I'm still dealing with my Brother's death. But when I got down on my knees and started praying, things have turned around. I don't know if I will ever find peace with how my Brother died, but I am not alone anymore. I was begging God for understanding and finally I prayed to our Father in Heaven about it. I'm not sure if the answer to my Prayer was No or Not Yet. But I know God answered me. That was enough. God, please be with me always.
