âI wake up in the morning excited. Excited to run, excited to study, excited to teach, excited for everything.â He finished barely 3 mins behind the Olympic winner. You Sir, are an inspiration!

Now that's a worthy PE teacher.
Iâd be impressed if my math teacher could teach well
Top level production value on this mini-doc of Jared Ward. Flawless editing and music supervision. 10 of 10
hes a great guy but why does he remind me of ned flanders from the simpsons
Film kijken
Jacorey
He has a mustache and heâs a Christian so heâs not too far off.
My teacher, ran a half nighttime marathon for the cause of cancer. She came back to school and let everyone look at her medal, pretty fun day.

sean patrick Lee Itâs been two months, and Iâve decided to start relay. The new school year has gave me motivation (even with an annoying sprained ankle.)
I also hope that you have great, new year filled with joy and a drive to do what you love.
sean patrick Lee Thank you, Sean I also wish you luck in your goals.
This guy is richer than most multi-millionaires. Heâs living his passions, content and grateful.
Fantastic Jared. All the best in your training. Very inspiring.
I love this guy. What a good dude with so much love for life.
What a humble guy.
I feel the sudden urge to study math at BYU and take statistics classes :D
he must be talented though... math can only help you to run smarter not faster! I am a math teacher too and run but not as fast as Jared Ward 2 h 11 min 34 s is crazy fast!! I am hoping to race with him soon
So much respect for this guy. Great video too
I talked to this guy and those kids aren't kidding about the down to earth, he really thrives off of building people up. Great guy.
He's an INSPIRATION
Such a amazing man
Congrats on 2 million subscribers!!!
Would you be uploading the men's artistic gymnastics finals 2016 anytime??
This guy is the top role model as an Olympian
Awesome. Inspirational!
Totally awesome!
m
God bless this man!
Inspiring.
Now definitely one of my favorite runners
Nothing pleases me more than to see a good guy win.....;)))
I think everyone already knew who Jared Ward was lol. I didnât even know he taught math but yâall make it seem like he just randomly started running and placed in the olympics đ
I didn't know him. but yeah the videos deceptive. He's a professional marathon runner who happens to teach math
Alexander James Not everyone's from the US.
Yeah no way he just randomly started running and made it to the Olympics z takes years of training. And just like he said, he was offered courses as part time faculty
Awesome, I love this so much
Such a great story of a hard worker
What a legend
Iâm sure he calculated the distance to the millimeter
They should do a day with kenenisa bekele
WZTwiggs your right he keeps most of his thoughts to himself and never has anything to say
I want to see more content related to this
Congrats!
It is really inspirable,outstanding
thatâs amazing good for him
Best of luck TEACH !
I can image when he is running and doing all the math in his brain already
2+2 is 4 -1 thats 3 QUICK MAFS

Arvind Murty ?
Amazing!!

He reminds me of Mr. Clark, the teacher on Stranger Things!!
I'm also like him love to run love to learn new things but hate injury
I have to run on the roads (meaning sidewalks next to them) bc the trails near me are too sketchy to run on alone lol. So even if I run at a good pace, all the safe crossing takes me forever
I was there that day!
Please consider Anthony Ervin for this.
His story would be great for this line of videos.
One of my teachers was in the olympics for speed walking
Do one on Yuki Kawauchi. He's a badass too! Though Idk if he qualifies for Olympic or not
He has ran several marathons under 2:10s and now he has now quit his job to fully focus on running I heard. We'll definitely see him in Tokyo this year.
VĂdeo TOP!
I'm from St. George which is south from salt lake
I ran a marathon and and got second place in a 50k trail ultra marathon. Although I finished a degree in secondary education major in general science and got a professional teacher license, I just got 2 years teaching experience and shift to another job. I really liked organic chemistry and I loved teaching chemistry at high school. But I'm dumb at math đ.
Where did he finds the energy for all that? Hes a superhuman.
Training on concrete and asphalt does good to the body?
Stay away from concrete when training, always go soft surfaces so your joints don't absorb all of the shock
jared ward has big Ned Flanders energy
I can see Seth Hirsch being a good marathoner down the road (no pun intended).
Ethopian atlet meaeret det Àr
BYU runners are insane. I guess they get it from their math teachers
meanwhile athletes in Kenya are wondering what this is all about
Ripan Dutta then we wonder why most Kenyans are 5â6 and weak too
I'm Kenyan we must be the real proffers... English is just a language not a measure of intelligence..
Springfield weak people don't win
@@harryspringfield6970 Lol don't be butthurt, Keyans have fast twitch fibers which means that it is hard to grow muscles, but that doesn't mean you can't be strong with very little muscle. Many Kenyans are pretty strong, don't judge a book by it's cover. And they're mostly 5'6 because of genetics, they were made to run. And just saying it was scientifcally proven a few years ago that every inch that you are over 5 feet is about half a year off your life lol.
@@DrReddit slow twich fibers, not fast twitch. But yeah, you have the right point.
Lovely.
It's a shame it won't be 2020 and there's kipchoge, bekele and Farah.
That mustache is majestic
did he count all of his marathon steps?
I want to take his class one timeă
Bravo!
Super sir
This guys basically ned flanders
How old is he like heâs looked 45 since that picture com college
wow
Olympics Olympics go Olympics
Good
The Math's teacher? So instead of teaching Math to students he teaches directly to "math" itself? Besides the typo, great video, thanks for sharing.
Wild Outdoor Living British people call "math" "maths" as a plural. The apostrophe was the "wrong part"
Example (U.S.) I teach math.
Example (UK) I teach maths.
Yes, the apostrophe was what I was pointing out more than anything. That said he does live, teach and train in the United States so using Math without the S is probably the most appropriate. I had heard that some nations using the word maths though I guess I didn't know it was that prevalent.
wdym? I'm math and he's my private teacher :)
Wild Outdoor Living Yes, I can agree that they should have put "math" instead of "maths" into the title. However, almost all of the narrators that I've heard of on this channel have a British accent -- hence them most likely putting the British spelling instead.
You are right. Apologies for it. Should've not skipped that English class to join Jared's maths class instead. đ
Looks like Jared has one extra year to train for the Tokyo Olympics now that 2020 is a no show.

It really bothers me that he says âacrossâ as âaccrosTâ
When did he say that? Lol
one of my ex algebra teachers ran a marathon in rio last year, actually

I guess he started learning because he was late to maths class one day and his car broke down.

Quick maths

I wonder if he teaches pace of the East Africans that dominate. American born runners pace is pedestrian and dime a dozen. I wish we could catch them but we canât.
Kenyans : Meh what's new?
Bro, Casey Neistat ran like 23 marathons or something like that
P Mil but he's nowhere near as fast as Jared Ward
Nooo
He only teaches quick mafs
