Pouch.org is also a great forum, just know that there are a lot of the challenging stories online and that there are many JPouchers out there living their best life not posting.

Thank you.
I've already had my colon removed and I'm waiting for the pouch surgery. It's good to find people who know what this is like.
Hi,good to hear your story. I had UC at 30,had a j pouch at 35 which took me quite some time to recover from including several bouts of pouchitis. I’m now 60,still working full time, ride my motorcycle & play tennis. I go to the toilet at least 12 times a day & don’t sleep well but it is far better than having UC. Enjoy what you have. C
Thank you for sharing your story Juliana
Dear Juliana: it was nice to watch your video - you are graceful and beautiful and calming - and it's very positive that your shared your experience.
That why I want to keep my bag, no problems at all! I can eat everything, do everything and no frequency, continent etc...
Thank you for sharing. I'm about to have my colon removed and am very scared. It seems removal of the colon does not solve the problems and there is a long way to recovery. I wish you all the best of health and a speedy return to normal life
I hope you have a successful surgery and give yourself lots of gentleness and grace to heal. Plus some quality of life to return to you. Anything is possible
I had one of the first surgeries of this. I’m now 53. Do it! If you don’t. Colon cancer is in your future. Honestly surgery is not so bad. Not compared to colitis.
Thank you so much, you made me feel not alone
Congratulations on your healing journey. You have a positive attitude, which will serve you well!
For the record. I eat EVERYTHING and I drink a 12 pack of coke a hour. Like no lie. I’m always thirsty! I had the surgery so I could eat again. With colitis, when I ate it felt like broken glass in my stomach. I have fistulas occurrences. I’m battling one right now. My doctor. Dr. Jacobson in Dallas Texas at Baylor removed the last one surgically. With day surgery. That was two years ago. I now have another one. A good doctor is the key. I’m a amputee from a motorcycle accident. So I take pain meds. Great news my doctor ALSO has a jpouch. So I’m am very blessed. Most times I’ve forgotten I have a j pouch. Just plain restroom breaks after eating. Usually 15 minutes. Drink ensures and vitamins. I take balance of nature. I feel good but my stomach hates it Diarrhea. But it’s worth it.
Thank you very much❤
B12 sublingual liquid and magnesium supplement was a game changer for my husband
I’m going to try iodine on the fistula to kill the infection. Mom put the “ monkey blood “ on everything.
I have crohnes disease and got diagnosed in 2018. My humira injections not working my new doc said I may be in remission but I'm still going constantly to the bathroom and have other issues its so frustrating
I have uc can you tell what a J punch is
And OMG you are Beautiful! Hang in there.
