So, did the new change killed the playstyle? Because for me I got way worse, cant kill on halfdraws or draw + melee, cant finish people who run. Its no viable for mid bow user like myself anymore

What happened after?
So you can shoot before grapple melee, but you can't shoot and slide melee?
Afaik you can only hipfire before you grapple melee (ads seems to take away the option to melee), so it's more of an mnk thing.
You can ads while sliding so I guess Bungie considers that a stronger combo. I think that nerf is stupid, too, but you can still slide melee and shoot after... better than nothing.

Throw then mash the slam button. You don't teleport but you do drop near instantly
