A walkthrough for the final Junior Adventure. This time I was patient and decided to put the credits in. I actually got the paths I wanted on accident. It's a good thing too, as I may have messed up the purple sea urchins again. I don't really have too much to say about the walkthrough.
For being the final Junior Adventure, this game doesn't disappoint. It's far more difficult than the other games, but had imaginative characters, great animation, a good soundtrack, and nice artwork. The animation and the graphics here are superb. It almost makes me sad seeing the potential HE had from these improvements. The characters have much better shading here than the previous games. I also liked the minigames (the Battleship one was particularly awesome) and all of the characters were well developed. It's so sad this had to be HE's final adventure game.
Whew! All done with the Jr. Adventure walkthroughs. I am glad that it's over, but in a way I'm sad too. It was a lot of fun replaying all of the games through one more time. HE easily left one of the biggest parts of my childhood, and they could be considered THE reason I am so interested in computers these days. The potential they had was overwhelming for the future, but it all had to go. sigh Anyway, I hope you enjoyed watching these as much as I had making them. I want to be this and my other channel the ultimate source for anything HE-related. I still have the Junior Arcades left, and with Summer coming up, they shouldn't be too far away. I'll see you guys next time. - Hry
My childhood right here.
Mine too! I loved the twisted ending but I think there's only 2 different game versions for this one unlike games 2, 3 and 4. And, 1. There were more game combinations than just this one but I'm used to the other one I feel with the compass and getting the girl's bracelet back to fix the claw machine. Just because I never finished the taffy game ending before. I guess it confused me but it makes sense now.
My grandmother just passed from covid and left me a set of journals she wrote while I was growing up. She mentioned I was playing this game in one and seeing this really brought me back to being 5, running around her house and playing on my grandfather's computer. Thanks for putting this up.
I’m so sorry about that!❤
THIS GAME IS WHY I'M SO ADDICTED TO THE COMPUTER TODAY
+Rohan Zener Shhh... Shhh... :)
Yes this game, putt putt and pajama sam
@@courtneybertwell7933 Spy Fox, don't forget.
I really like how Mayor Marlin seems like a stereotypical 'cares more about his image than anything else' mayor at first, but then proves to be a good mayor by trusting a kid detective to solve the mystery (not everyone would) and bringing the right culprit to justice.
True and I appreciate the mystery solving
Mayor Marlin is a far better mayor than most politicians in the real world.
I wish it would be that way with our president
I really like Mayor Marlin too.
Such a sick game I would get scared shitless when I was little. especially in the darker parts of the water
This exact game started it all for me... :(
same
Same
4:21 I was so sure she was going to respond with "I AM Gill Barker!"
I wasn't.
Okay...?
Oh my gosh same!
Gill and Gillian = Luke and Leia
Here are three things I like about this game: how advanced it is when compared to the previous ones (meaning you get to enjoy the game longer), how Mayor Marlin is a good and fair politician (even though he seems a bit vain), and that the sea monster Duncan turns out to be a really nice good guy.
I can't unhear Penelope's voice from Sly 3!
Once I realized it was the same voice actress, it just stuck.
THIS WAS MY GAME
amazing how a game with such simple controls can be so flawless, every single second is full of charm and care!
This is from a time when video games made kids smarter instead of stupider.
Marty is the only evil fish in the entire series. The Squid father and the sharks just needed a little help; all 6 of those suspects felt guilty; The Hogfish Rustlers just wanted to become Hogfish Ranchers; and this Marty fish is greedy and planned to destroy the deed.
He's up there as one of the most evil HE villians alongside Poodles Galore and William the Kid
@@AlbertBoris Laroche doesnt count?
@@David-ne2cc Not really, he is kinda a victim, who became a villain.
@@AlbertBoris I have a CZcams video called library assistant becomes savior for dog please spread word about it to your neighborhood oh and make sure the people in that neighborhood do the same
I’d love to see Marty caught by fishermen & imprisoned in a public aquarium
"Congressional molar. Got it!"
(awkward stare)
This game still makes me giggle.
I just accessed a long forgotten memory of my childhood. I'm having an identity crisis.
I know we went down this road before several years ago, but as far as I know, Putt-Putt: Pep's Birthday Surprise is actually the final Junior Adventure game. Technically, this was the last Junior Adventure game to developed by all the people from the original HE team, so it would make more sense if you would call this game how I'm describing it now in the description.
I thought Travels Through Time came out after that game. That wouldn't make any sense to the order I got them in my childhood
The mayor and Kit Craftsmen were voiced by Dennis Bateman, the Spy in TF2, and Marty and the Dadfish were voiced by Rick May, the Soldier. The more you know.
SAY WHAT?!
That Mayor is a spy! That Marty is a soldier!
Spy Mayor: Oh soldier, would they ever find to replace you?
Valve meet HE.
Rest in peace, Rick may. I guess I knew ya before even playing TF2
Makes you wonder what else they and the other voice actors from TF2 were in...
RIP Rick May
The Dadfish sounds almost exactly like Soldier did in TF2, though his Marty voice sounds like him with a slight New York accent.
My grandma got me this game to play for when i got off the school bus at her place. My mom would always pick me up before I could finish and I never knew how to save XD now I can finally know how it ends. My life has closure
my first game..such good memory :)
My first freddi fish game I played was the first one
31:25 That's why Freddi is carrying everything... Luther is just too tiny and adorable XD
I like how they didn't make Luther an entirely stereotypical boy by having him liking the glow necklace and wanting to wear it. :)
Miss this shit so much man...
Have anything against foxes?
Nah, ya just can't cook em' as well XD
Honestly the sfx are my favorite part. They feel very satisfying to hear, you know
18:05 'They had some trouble respecting my authority' Am I the only one who thought of Cartman saying: Respect mah authoritah!
I was never able to beat this one, so now I can finally know what happened in the end!! ^w^
me to
Neither was I
I had to beat it on my grandmother's computer because as soon as it was showing the sea monster cutscene on my computer as a kid, it froze either after Marty was giving his speech to the townsfolk, or as soon as Freddi and Luthur saw the sea monster.
Bro I beat this when I was 4
FireFall 187 lol, sure, bitch.
I loved this game (not as much as the case of the stolen conch shell but that's because it was my first computer game). I remember that this game was certainly a challenge because it required multiple elements from multiple places.
It's too bad they stopped making games like this. And it's worse because no one has updated these games to be played on an mac running OSX. Being able to play some of them on an iPhone/android is okay but nothing replaces playing them on a computer. It's been 10 years since I played these games :(
Give ScummVM a try, it runs these games on OSX great.

HumongousSoundtracks Thank you! I still own all my freddi fish games and putt putt so looks like a trip down memory lane is in order

+HumongousSoundtracks pardon me doc and professor i like looney tunes
44:15 - Look at all those googly eyes! Makes me feel like I'm in a Rare game!
I remember this game. My dad bought me this game long years ago. Gosh I feel old.
This is my favorite freddi fish game ever 😁
***** same....it's the only one I could finish
I think it was the weakest one. I like 1 the most!
@@AlbertBoris Well everyone likes different things I guess
This was the only game by which I saw no demos for. I played the first and third game, and saw the demos for the second and fourth games. This one is a stranger to me.
I'm crying right now. Childhood memories. :(
I remember this game! When I was growing up, my grandmother had this game on her PC and I played daily for hours and hours. It was one hell of a challenge - I don't remember if I finished it or not but I had a talk with my cousin the other day - her and I used to play this together as well - and we brought up this game which is why I'm watching right now. My favorite part was making the candy. Anyway, I wish there were a lot more games like this on computers. Nostalgia hitting me hard right now.
My childhood :')
I think the Grandma has changed a lot scene the first game.
18:08 i didnt even know clout was a term back then
OK THIS WAS THE FIRST FREDDI FISH GAME I GOT AND I PLAYED IT SO MUCH THAT MY PARENTS GOT THE REST OF FREDDI FISH, I ALREADY HAD ALL THE PAJAMA SAM GAMES AT THE TIME AND ALMOST ALL PUTT PUTT SO FREDDI FISH WAS LIKE MY FIRST BC MY BROTHER PLAYED PJ SAM BEFORE ME SO HE PASSED THE GAME TO ME AND THIS GAME HAS LIKE References IN MY HOUSE BC OF HOW MUCH THIS GAME HAS BEEN PLAYED LIKE "HI MY NAMe'S KIPPER" THIS IS THE BES T GAME OF ALL TIME. ANOTHER ONE IS 'SO CLOSE BUT UH, YET SO FAR HEH!" woehlasdkjf askdfowaiehtt this game is the besstt i knew all the easter eggs and everything askdjlf;afc se;rilcmsdc
I don't know why I am watching this, but it is so enthralling.
One of my all-time favorite games when I was a kid.
I loved how these freddi fish games changed too while playing it over again
Oh my..Such memories coming back😞
I remember playing this game when I was young. So Nostalgia. I used to love finding & collecting the purple sea urchins. 15:38 "Oh; Sorry 2 disturd you...... I guess."
6:53 one of my favorite characters
17:36 my 2nd favorite character
18:24 that game is a spoof on "Battleship" the game that I ❤
That's what I said. It's the same voice actors in the Freddi Fish games, but their voices changed when they grew up.
I used to play this game as a kid and get stuck on just about every puzzle. A few days ago, my brother and I bought it and beat it in 100 minutes. Pure catharsis right there
The voices weren't different, their recording setups were just different (same voice actors are credited as all the five previous games). Also, the environment and the characters were fine. And I really don't see what's wrong with the music. The fourth game was way more boring than this one IMO mostly because the scenery was pretty dull. I don't think change is a bad thing either. In fact, the lack of change is what ultimately led to HE's bankruptcy!
True, I feel an agreeing to that about the fourth game over this one but I still like them all now I know I beat them all in lots of game versions because they were fun and worth my time.
Not to mention, Annette's voice as Freddi of course matured in the past 7 years since the first one game came out in 1994.
I didn't notice anything wrong with the voice acting or the music. I enjoyed this one a lot!
I know this is suppose to be a children's game and all, but are you telling me that the taffy computer lady can remember every physical description of bowler on a trading card, but she can't remember a six letter password? And if you had your personal password on a trading card, why trade it in the first place?
Cause fish have a low attention span? Maybe that's why 😂
@@AstarionWifey She even points out that she consumes too much taffy and that has scrambled her brain.
Oh the memories :D I remember playing this game until 2 in the morning with my daddy. I couldn't beat it by myself so I had him help me :)
I suddenly realized something disturbing: why does Nick have a fishing pole for sale in his store?
Maybe he’s secretly Nick Cage the arms dealer from the movie Lord of War…?
THAT is definately the best main screen I've seen in a Humongous game. It talks to you!
RIP, great, late, Rick May. You'll always be remembered.
RIP Rick May aka Team Fortress 2 soldier.
i have unlocked a deep childhood memory with this omg
I swear whenever I played this, it felt like a dream..
I'm so unspeakably happy that "HEY!!! THAT'S MY ROOF!!!!" is the most replayed moment in this entire walkthrough.
You're so good at that Battleship-esque minigame.
Guess what, I was looking at the tropes for Freddi Fish and I found out that according to the manual Gillian really was Gil Barker in disguise!
Given that he was a suspect and possibly the actual thief in the last two games, I'm not surprised.
That's...not actually true. The manual says nothing about it or even implies it. Word-for-word, her description:
"Look past her hair and her make-up and you may recognize a familiar Barker! In past Freddi Fish adventures, Gill Barker has sold everything from carnival tickets to wheel nuts. Now his twin sister, Gillian Barker, is barking up Coral Cove Park with her Planktos and Super-Fantastic Elastic Glue."
Nothing in there even remotely implies it's a case of crossdressing.
Really? That's odd, here's the very trope I was referring to:
Creepy Crossdresser: It's heavily implied, at least in the manual, that Gill Barker's twin sister Gillian from the fifth game is actually Gill himself in drag. While Gillian is never antagonistic, the fact that Gill was a potential culprit in the previous two games probably has something to do with why he now travels in disguise.
TV Tropes is a heavily unsupervised wiki based on whatever random people consider things to fit. Take it with a grain of salt.
Humongous Fan Soundtracks
Ah. I mean I already knew it was a Wiki and Wikis can be altered by almost anyone, but considering the info that's on that site you'd think the people behind it would do a better job of making sure everything's accurate and true. Maybe they should hire people to do that for them.
Sheesh, whoever included the Creepy Crossdresser Trope must've either misread the manual or wanted Gillian to be Gil in disguise instead of his twin sister. If it's the second one then they should've just stuck with writing a fanfic about it.
0:03 I’ll never forget that Blue’s clues was apart of humongous entertainment
As Bugs Bunny Once Said: "Did You Ever Get The Feeling, That You Were Being Watched?"
Evil scientist: Being watched he says...
8:12 Mayor Marlin is the Spy and Pyro from TF2.
And Marty Sardini is the Soldier
RIP Rick May
Thanks for the walk through, I finally got to play this after 11 years, I did not even know they made a 5th one!
My favorite's probably the 4th one though, I enjoyed the whole mystery aspect of it and how it changes the mystery thief every time. I liked it better than the third one, that's for sure. After 10+ years I still enjoy these games due to the instant nostalgia they all bring. Good work!
ahhh my second favourite freddie fish game, i always loved the battleship game!!!
The officers reaction to the mayor signing her permission slip! I used to think "she's in the law enforcement and she hasn't met the mayor??"
I loved this game so much back then but I also remember it being very hard 😂
Oh my gosh this entire game series was my childhood, im just re watching it to re love all the memories, even now some of the puzzles are slightly tricky and it was an amazing game for me and my sister to play and grow up with 🖤
RIP Rick May, who voiced Marty and Dadfish.
This is the game I've always wanted to play, but sadly never did. It's cool that I can find this about ten years later and see what I missed.
My multi-part walkthrough on legoking831 has the other path for this game. You can find the game on eBay or Amazon cheap these days.
honestly, this game is still better then putt-putt: pep's birthday surprise
Obviously. This game wasn't the best, but at least it was still fun
And Pajama Sam 4
Dang, used to play this game all the time! Never made it to the fabled Coral Cove Park
Because if you stay the same forever, it gets too formulaic and you get tired of playing the same game. Ron Gilbert, the founder of the company, had once stated when he was making Monkey Island and using graphics instead of text (text adventures were still prominent), people were complaining he was "ruining the art of text". No joke. As he stated, if he had listened to them he would have never been a success. But he "changed what wasn't broken", and look what came out of it.
1:21 to 1:22
LOL! That reminds me of the Cozy Cone Motel from "Cars".
I used to play to every day when I was younger :) I miss it
This just flooded my mind with memories from my childhood 🥹
I definitely didn’t finish the whole game when I was younger but watching this video game me nostalgia! I forgot the name of it so I kept typing in “online fish game barber shop”😂 also the mayor used to scare me with the towel on his head! Don’t ask why, idk but I had nightmares about it! I’m glad to hear I wasn’t the only one who played this game as a kid 🥰
I just thought of a heartwarming theory: that painting of a boy riding a seahorse in the background of Mayor Marlin's office...could that be Mayor Marlin's son?
I love this version but I never finished the ending. I was better at the version of the game with the Compass and the bracelet with a few of the fish. Fixing the claw and in charge of map swapping when Mars leaves in the other game but not this one for her expedition. The getting of the compass was a little complicated to me but really fun! Not too hard but maybe for kids even though it wasn't shown here if you didn't know what you were doing.
Marty reminds me of a couple of greedy property developers whose plans weren’t good for the environment. Mr. King from the Wishbone episode “Homer Sweet Homer” wanted to cut an oak tree down to build a mall, & Mr. Hall from the second episode of Cluedo wanted to drain a pond to build a discotheque.
30:33 Scooby-Doo reference
Come to think of it, I wonder why HE (or any other game studio of this time) never made a point-and-click adventure game staring Scooby and the gang
1:07 I love Cheesy Poofs, you love Cheesy Poofs; If we didn’t eat Cheesy Poofs, we’d be LAME!
First time seeing this since I was like 5 years old in 2003. feelsbadman
Right in the nostolgia
54:14 that pink fish is looking at Luther like bitch are you stupid!? Lmao XD
I didn't get the ship reference when I was a kid, but I do now! It seems so obvious once you think about it!
LOL I've always found it funny when Freddi or Luther ate a taffy they didn't like. In fact, I wish you would've shown Luther eating one.
Holy shit dude. I remember all of this...
I wish there was Freddi Fish 6: The Case of the Missing Mermaid
37:04 A Ben Stein clownfish! XD
36:16
nostalgia
To think that I played this as a kid. It was a really challenging puzzle game tbh..
I loved playing these games as a kid...my favorite ending in this one was when you were in that one guys house
Lol this game was kinda hard for my brother and I when I was hardly in the fourth grade. Felt so good when we did get to cracking it.
54:10 That really pregnant pause as the lady marvels at how dumb Luther is kills me every time.
1:15
lol, I remember my sister starting this game for the second time and she was like "I don't want to go into the crowd but I don't have any other option" and I showed her that the escape button allows you to skip the cutscene so she didn't have to watch it all
P
This game give me so much childhood memories
oh gawd the memories........I played this just before they got too old to play on any new computer.......oh gosh :3 it was the only one I could get close to finishing by myself
Loved this game as a kid.
no way this is my fav childhood
I was always too impatient to watch the moving animations and all of the dialogue so I would just keep hitting to escape key to skip everything
Why does time have to fly by so quickly... I miss my childhood so much
I played this as a kid. Now I have to ridicule it with joyous commentary and jokes.
1. Now I remember why I'm obsessed with picking up sea urchins.
2. I checked this game out of the library for 5 years and not once did I come to the conclusion that Freddie was a girl.
3. How many actors were jealous of the depressed clown's actor because he never had to emote?
4. Did I really need a game's dialogue to talk that slow for my puny developing brain to comprehend?
5. The game creators must have had a lot of confidence in the little babu's playing this to expect them to keep track of this giant breadcrumb trail of finding an irrelevant item and backtracking to whoever told us to get it.
6. Everyone in this game kept telling me to get them things. Now I can't talk to someone without trying to give them something. If they don't ask me for anything, I sneak whatever I have on me into their pockets.
7. I crave toffee whenever I think of it. Maybe it's because I never had toffee in the house when I played this game and now I have to eat it for the sake of 4-year-old-me's sanity.
(And now... a prediction of the future.)
"Ok, kids! Time to relive my childhood for me!"
*"But we want to go outside!"*
"Outside is for weaklings who can't go a few weeks without sunlight, not PRESS THE GODDAMN PLAY BUTTON."
I wonder what the barber's other keys unlock. I'm sure one is for his house, but as for the rest....
Also, a Ben Stein clownfish? Hilarious irony. XD
2:24 I think the dude is drunk.
They Are Working On Freddi Fish 6: The Case Of the Missing Mermaid, Pajama Sam 5: Journey To the Old West, Fatty Bear Goes To the Zoo, Putt-Putt Goes To the Train Yard and Spy Fox 4: Fire and Search Rescue!
Sorry to disappoint you, but I looked up the Freddi Fish one and found this:
"The Case of the Missing Mermaid is a fictional game, unfortunately. It is unlikely that any more Humongous Entertainment games will be produced."
I wish it were real
