Hello guys. Thank you for watching my video.
This is a video of me participating in a criminal advocacy competition, specifically Plea in Mitigation. This is my first attempt, and I am here to receive criticism/comments/tips/advice for me to improve my advocacy skill. I am still learning; feel free to comment below and let me know what you think.
About the competition:
The competition requires students to record a 3 minutes video to represent Mr Bobbie Bell (18 years old), who was charged and pleaded guilty for s.5(3) Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 - possession and intent to supply class A and class B drugs (cocaine and cannabis). My job is to present as a counsel to persuade the judge to not impose a custodial sentence. Instead, I proposed a 24 monthly community order, an electronically monitored curfew for 30 days, a rehabilitation activity for 15 days and 180 hours of unpaid work.

I graduated from the University of East Anglia (UEA) with a 2:1 for my LLB (Law degree). I am now studying my Bar Practice Course (BPC) full-time at a postgraduate level. 🎓 I am from Malaysia, and I come to the UK for my tertiary education. English is not my first language, plus studying for a law degree is hard. Luckily, I survive! I dive into Bar Practice Course (BPC), which is a more difficult, intense, intellectually challenged course. 😬
