I’m British, therefore I’ll always support the British Lions. Yes, the Springboks are a tough, hard team. Very physical. But I’m sure the British Lions love them!! I’m certain they always enjoy playing against the Springboks (even when we do lose. Obviously disappointing, but greatly satisfying to compete well) It’s the ultimate test for their rugby talent, stamina, courage and physical strength. I’m sure there’s lots of mutual respect between both teams. 🏉 👍🏽👌🏽

Could've gone either way in the last one. I feel the French ref gave too many technical penalties and it took away from the game a bit !

I think that out of the three the Lions tour of SA is by far the best and always turns into a massive battle. Has a completely different feel to it

I am a firm believer in being humble in victory, but this Lions lot can honestly piss off back home. The arrogance and screaming of their players whenever a penalty was given or their sore loser attitude of the players, coaches and fans. I couldn't stand it, thank goodness its Rugby championship now where at least teams can lose with dignity.

I am a lions fan and I disagree completly. Have you seen the boks shout at the ref too. tackling high playing dirty. NO WHERE in the northern hemisphere plays that dirty. Ofc I will give my dues in the 3rd test as all were respectful not fights but bloody hell. The boks got lucky and they play dirty. I can watch back all the tests and pin point every single mistake and disrespect moments from the boks and we really see who was more respectful

If you had had late shoulder charges, tip tackles, knees on necks, 2 incidents of biting against you, then you would be screaming bloody murder. Kolbe took Murray out in the air, no argument, but no Bok player yanked Murray roughly to his feet before the medico had even had a chance to assess potential injury the way Vunipola did to Kolbe when Price tackled him in the air. That is completely and utterly unacceptable behaviour!
You even arrived with a team comprising at least 7 players who had been red carded for foul play in the last 5 years - and that does not even include the Sinckler suspension. We had 2. It really is time for some of you to remove your red-tinted spectacles and see the truth of the matter; your boys give as much as, if not more than, they get.

Sorry….not at all. They are another classic Bok team who win the World Cup by cunning tournament strategy, but after a World Cup win they are inconsistent and cannot string together enough wins. If this was greatest team ever then they would also have won the Championship and retained World number one spot. Best team ever is perhaps All Blacks 2013. A perfect season without a single international loss, and the core of the team which went on to win back to back World Cups while maintaining World number 1 spot and winning the rugby Championship.

That was a very good B&I Lions team. They smashed most of our Super/URC Teams by 50+. Just shows you the level and intensity of International rugby. I'll never forget that day Kolbe scored that match winner. Bokke!!

In those spaces where he seems to excel in, he can be a lethal and there are many clubs and countries that cannot deny this, we can watch it on video. Those 2 on 1 situations he scores from is actually unfair to the 2 defenders. From a S African point of view, we've always loved our little coloured friends because of their quickness. Why there were so many jokes about running away from the police 🤣
His goal kicking and dropkick ability is just a chuckle on the side lines. If Jonah Lomus' size and strength were compacted, you'd get Kolbe 🤣

I remember so vividly Nick Mallets criticism of Cheslin Kolbe. Making utterances that Kolbe is too small and not dynamic enough. He went on to win the World Cup in 2019 and defeat the British and Irish Lions in 2021. Kolbe never said anything just proved him wrong. Also prior to this series the media in Britain was criticising the boks so much saying they only had to play one good team in the World Cup. But I guess when you are doing well for a little while you will always be criticised. As a player and a coach how many world cups did Nick Mallet win? Did he score tries to win the boks matches like Kolbe did? In the World Cup final?
Doesn't take away from the fact he's or was still a very good bok coach, 71% win record in something like 36 or 37 games is commendable.
I believe we may forgive him for his mistakes based on the above.
Even Rassie in his 2 year tenure 2018 - 2019 only got 60-65% and the games played were in the mid-low 20s. Good thing Kolbe persisted and the coaches saw his talent.
