Welcome to another Episode of Ross Reviews AU on this weeks Video we check out 2 unbelievable Aussie cars and compare the 2 to see how well they do after being both heavily modified.. the FPV F6 310 is now pushing over 410kw (550hp) and the FPV GT 335 is now pushing over 500kw (650hp) these 2 boats are no JOKE!

I bought the GT for the exact reason you said. It's ridiculous how easy it is to drive them hard. Getting squirrely at the change from 3rd to 4th at 185 is kinda fun. R-Spec/GT-F/FGX are so much better.
I always felt like the turbos were trying to kill me.
I Lol'd at the cops. You got pulled up by the AFP LOL. My bro is in the AFP in Perth. I probably know those guys. Truth is, they wanted to drive the car!
I feel a little nostalgic having owned both these cars. They still pull on my heart strings and put a smile on my face thinking back. I felt that the GT's (I owned a GT-P) power was a little bit easier to put down off the line, but the torque curve in gear at any rpm on the F6 was insane. The F6 felt a little better balanced in corners too with a slightly lighter-front end and the engine sitting lower. Both made crazy power over stock with just a tickle - I wonder just how honest those stock figures were though...

I’m going with the f6. It feels more fun when a 6 makes nearly the same amount of power. Plus more affordable. It looks gorgeous and sounds cool. Definitely a car that the neighbours dont get angry about😂

The F6 is awesome Johnny👍but that rumble on the GT is on another level, in my street old guy late 60s has the same FG GT but 2014 model and also a BA GT-P and a corvette C4

Absolutely love your reviews. Keep up the good work. I have an FG FPV F6 with heaps of mods. Just had coilovers and 380mm 6 piston brakes fitted. Over 500rwkw. I would love to own a GT335 to pair up with the F6.
Also love the look of the of your BF F6 Typhoon, they have such a good character.

I love a good barra and have 3 of them but its real hard to go past a blown V8 that sounds as good as that.
its is eh.. this would def have to be one of the hardest choices we have had on the channel
I have a bog standard N/A BA XR6 and live 5 min from work. Engine never fully warms up and my average shot up to 19l/100km 😂

I Love the F6 and would love to have 1 in my garage but ultimately it is the GT that would look best me behind the wheel and in my garage.

Really like the FG F6 but I just so much prefer the GT. Though I'm not a big fan of those after market wheels on it. But yeah both are really nicely done up cars. Great review as always. Just such a shame though that you got dobbed on by some greens supporting electric car owner. But at least you managed to create some good content all the same. 🖒

I've owned both - well it was an FGX XR8 - but same donk. Stock, the F6 felt faster due to the turbo surge and was more fun but I miss the supercharger whine of my XR8.
both have there perks and disadvantages.. but gotta agree a well done v8 with SC whine is something else
I’ve always wanted a plum purple spraued over black F6. But the Vvvvv88888 is so sweet and is a very close 2nd.

Both great cars I have a 2012 gt-p with 421kws only has a full streetfighter exhaust hi flow air filter and one 460 walbro fuel pump on 7.5 psi boost is a good bit of fun does require a good bit of respect when sending it

I saw the 5th ann Falcon in Silver in an add and made me love the Falcon FPV. Both these cars would be the same bodies? head lights, body styles etc wise? Both cars look so good. I am now going down the Kangaroo hole to watch some videos on F6 and FPV falcons. So wish we had been given these cars..... "criminal" I think you got that right as well. Cool review.
I'll take both! Though i guess i'd settle for the F6 purely because ive already got a BF XR8 with a Vortech blower in the garage, if i had a GT like that, the BF probably wouldn't get driven at all ...

Hey Mate good honest review,cant beat the sound of a V8,i have a black GS ute manual,it has mods as the gt,but pullied for about 10 lbs of boost,dynoed at 462 rwkw on bp98,i have 10 inch rear rims and 305 tyres and you still got to watch it in third around round abouts

Found out the other day with my verifaction letter, there were 708 boss 315 5.4L fg gt's made, love my GerTrude lol. Nothing better than driving a gt.

I'm not 100% certain but from my knowledge, I'm pretty sure every coyote motor for the FPV's were all hand built from the block up, which would also explain the much higher retail price

@@luked7841 yes, they are called the Miami by Ford Australia because the block is made in Miami Florida, but were still using the exact same engine block as the coyote, hence why a lot of people will call it a coyote instead of the proper name given by Ford Aus

Wish people wouldn't put Altezzas on Falcons. Especially FPVs. The exhaust set up on the GT is perfect. One of the best I've heard on the Miami

Bloody what a great video they are both sweet rides. I'd take the GT with the F6s gearbox. I'm with you I rather cheap performance because I don't have 100g to throw into a car but have great respect for anyone who spends x5 the amount for the same HP and makes something more special then a LS/Barra powered everything. Also need to find that lowlife bottom feeding thief and take him out for back for flogging.
Couldn't agree more.. if only that GT was manual it would be bloody perfect! but still for me there is something so special about a well done F6 they have just won me over lol.. Both in my garage would be the dream!

Thumbs up to the WA police too haha makes me want to move over there!! I'm tired of been treated like a criminal in waiting just because my wheels are 1" over the stock size.

I've owned alot of turbo 6's & a couple of turbo 8's. There full on in auto with the turbo multiplied through the convertor. In manual form there definately easier to handle with the ability to feather the throttle and control each gear directly.
A blown v8 definately is a handful. Just that monstrous instant torque is just insain.
Each car has its own character. The turbo barra with a manual would be more manageable and drlfinatwly rewarding through the hills

I'm in WA & would like to know where to get the KPM 'Streetfighter' upgrade done for my Limited edition R-spec Pursuit. That with the Manta full exhaust is a great combination.

Supercharged Miami engine, 6 speed manual, black with red accents.
110kph-200kph in 2 seconds in 4th gear.
Yeah that loose feeling like driving on an icy road though... feels like the front is lifting up or something. They need a better/ good front spoiler to help down force.

@@RossReviewsau I was actually considering an FPV, like a GS - this was before COVID tax and these things were actually affordable...but I saw your review of your BF typhoon and how expensive the upkeep is..that actually turned me off HSC & FPV. I used to own an NA FG XR6..and I do miss the barra. so much useable torque down low on the rev range..I think it's more liveable in that sense than in the SS. anyway, love your reviews. liked and subscribed!

did you know about the launch control came stadard with the fg xr6 t manual clutch down 1st gear mash the throttle revs sit at 3500 rpm turbo spools and dump the clutch
GT, that sound, the drivability and that turbo flutter would get old and annoying. However I wouldn't go with either of them 2. I like my car's stock as a rock. Call me old school.

By the way I’m replacing diff bushes for the 3rd time and then going out all out for 300awkw. I’m not sure which route with the diff bushes this time again but I’m doing my homework haha
@@mattmurphy5419 if you got the money do the IMS Diff Hat eliminates the need for diff bushes.. the GT had that done

It's really a case of "Old School v New School". If you're Old School, the GT is the way to go. The supercharged V8 really sounds the ducks guts and is as close as you will get to the Mad Max Interceptor. On the other hand, the F6 I suspect is quicker and would handle better with less weight over the front wheels. Either way you're a winner.

The F6 would be better off with the auto since you don’t lift off when changing gears which loses boost.

F6 reliability, easier to work on and cheaper replacement parts. But I'd definitely rather a zf box.
I know the ZF is faster and handles more power but god I love shifting my own gears in one
@@RossReviewsau so do I but the torque shock on fast changes kept killing cvs and diff bushes on mine. Even after market diff bushes the zf's seem to be much friendlier to the drive line and torque shock less.

I have a 540RWKW F6 auto.
I had a new XR8 Sprint manual.
The F6 is better in every way over the Sprint, apart from the soundtrack.
But that GT has been done RIGHT! What an awesome build. 👍
The Miami makes bulk power with no little. Start off with 290-320rwkw and 400rwkw with just a tune and pulley alone and its bulletproof. No need for springs, studs, pump gears, dumps, cats, exhausts, different intakes.

@@lukesm5747 yes but speaking from hands on experience, 400rwkw from the Miami feels boring compared to the same 400rwkw from a Barra. You sound fast in the Miami, but you ARE fast in the Barra ;)
Coyote v8 all day.... even as a barra turbo owner..... just cant beat the sound, I wish the Barra sounded better out the back end to be honest 🤣

The F6 is good and everything, but the Barras don't sound as nice as a V8 and they're becoming a bit played out now.
