Wow very similar. The SNES with higher quality sound as usual. Usually has better graphics but it's really down to style preference on this particular title (I like the sega one, it has a unique feel to it, whereas the SNES one kinda has that "any SNES game" look and feel to it.) MUSIC---wow! The SNES version's music is very effective, it perfectly creates an inviting atmosphere for the younger audience. BUT THAT SEGA MUSIC!! Those beats are just filthy. It's a close race.. I've always been a Nintendo kid, but I gotta give the nod to the sega version on this one.
As per usual, SNES version looks better due to having more colors but Mega Drive/Genesis has better animations and speed, resulting in tighter controls. All in all, I'll pick Mega Drive almost everytime with crossplatform games, but I still love SNES.

it's just a matter of taste, my friend, not "much prettier," you have to consider that the Mega Drive version has paralating effects on its scenery and several insects (which move very convincingly) scattered around the stage, while SNES only has more layers and colors simultaneously, where's your "much more beautiful"?

The opening, the SNES has it, that see-through look. And as usual the graphics on the SNES are slightly better. Can't tell which has the better sound, not the one with the drums. The backgrounds of the SNES are beautiful.
I love when developers make good use of the transparency effects the SNES had available. In the Genesis game's defense though, its title screen is much more dynamic than what the SNES version has; with it swinging into place instead of a simplistic static transition.

The SNES is just scrolling generic forest silhouettes in the background; whereas the Genesis, despite being a still image, manages at least to convey some jungle scenery. The SNES background could be set either in Germany or China for all sense of scene it displays. The SNES _should_ have walked away with this one: have the title come swinging in with Mode 7, and a clear jungle backdrop scrolling by, then there would be no need for arguments about it.

Unlike many other disney stories getting the 16 bit treatment these are actually two whole different games! The SNES is extremely impressive when it comes to the OST, almost Donkey Kong Country impressive. The Genesis one is good too, but the SNES one is phenomenal :)

al ubaldini 3D efects is missing??? I think snes version art style tend to be more realistic and genesis version more cartoon-ish. but it doesn't make anything better in favor of snes. Both are excellent games

Considering the soundchip of Snes is better, don't sound like a blip blip, and the gameplay are very similar in both, we can say Snes take the cake. You sega fans are so lost in fanboyism that you end saying things we clearly can see is not.

As much as I grew up with the Super Nintendo, I never played either game until DCGC's DLC was released on the Switch. I gotta hand it to the Genesis on this one. Screen crunch isn't an issue, and I love exploring the levels, even if there is a time limit.

I just got the Switch Disney Classic Games compilation version 2 yesterday, I like how on SNES fruit and "weapon" are separate buttons. I had no idea the two games were different! I knew the Aladdin games were totally different (Capcom vs Virgin), but I thought these had the exact same layout. Pretty sure Lion King is the same on both.
You may not be able to tell it just from looking at this video, but the super nintendo version is just not fun to play here. It's disappointingly broken physics wise and just doesn't feel right game play wise.

I liked more the genesis version even though the snes wins in graphics and Sounds! The freaking snes version was really hard in normal mode and the first boss for some reason took forever to kill! I don't know why they made it so harsh in snes! Also worth mentioned that both games are not the same and has allot of differences!

I have the Genesis one, it's a very good game. I haven't played the Snes game but I suspect it plays more fluidly then shown here. It looks as those the player is familiar with the Genesis game giving it a fluid looking playthrough. However, on the Snes he looks like he doesn't know what to do, making the game seem stagnant when in reality it probably plays very fluid when done by someone who's familiar with the game.

Wow, the Mega Drive / Genesis version gets it's butt handed by the SNES version, just by comparison of the colors alone. On the Sega side there is so much compromise through dithering and pseudo shading that all the backgrouds loose very much detail . Also , there is no transparency effect whatsoever on Sega. And I am not even talking about the sound which is way better on SNES. Mega Drive has a few more sound effects, though

Aquele dithering horroroso do Mega estragou os gráficos. O jogo do Snes tem 3 parallax layers dando uma impressão de profundidade, transparência, pixels mais suaves e um número muito maior de cores, sem contar os instrumentos reais na música como tambores, flautas e percussão.

I' d say the opposite,the SNES background is deeper with different levels, the Megadrive versions seems quite basic.

Lembro jogar com os meus amigos livro selva Megadrive loja varejo, ate vir um amigo atrasou porque ficou jogar livro da selva SNES na loja brinquedos, deu logo pulo jogar, notei ser diferente, olha gostei mais versao SNES, boneco (eu dizia) eram maiores, mais fácil jogar, dizia Megadrive ser rápido torna difícil controlar pulos.lol

Música do Mega muito superior, bons gráficos e jogabilidade melhor por muito, é de longe a versão mais divertida.

Eu n concordo, a versao do snes possui um mapa mais criativo alem de bons gráficos, e o controle eu b tive problema com ele.
Flávia Chini concordo... Não sei se é por isso, mas é fato que a maioria dos jogos da Disney sempre rodou melhor no 16bits da sega.
Graficos do mega são estranhos, do SNES muito mais bonito, e balanceando o som e jogabilidade.. Os sprites no SNES maiores também...
apesar dos sprites no snes parecerem maiores eles estão borrados e o background na versão de snes ficou medíocre eu fico com a versão de mega drive apesar de amar o super nintendo, jogos da disney costumam ser melhores no mega já que tem aquele visual que parece que foi feito a mão os desenhos de sprites e backgrounds.
Aquele dithering horroroso do Mega estragou os gráficos. O jogo do Snes tem 3 parallax layers dando uma impressão de profundidade, transparência, pixels mais suaves e um número muito maior de cores, sem contar os instrumentos reais na música como tambores, flautas e percussão.
