- Join me on this road trip down to Moruga village, located centrally on our southern coast, with a deep history. Along the way we try a doubles and a chicken roti, as we explore the beach itself and visit the last functioning (well it's just a relic now) spring bridge on the island

I was on TT a few years ago. I loved the culture, the food, the friendliness of the people of TT. I love this country and will be back as soon as possible.
Nice and we look forward to your visit, hopefully this channels would give you a few things to do and try 😁
That roti looking good. New subscribers. Support for Trini people🇹🇹
Whooaaa 🙌🏽🙌🏽 the roti indeed hit the spot and welcome to the vibes
Thanks Rajeev.. that $10 chicken roti is a hidden gem... Love the view from the drone..
That it was, especially as I wasn’t expecting to find A deal like that heading to Moruga
Absolutely awesome drone shots beautiful video 🇹🇹👍
Thank you 🙏🏽
Never been to Moruga before that bridge looks scary the St Peter statue looks like the will take it away if not repaired great video Rajeev as always we learn something new .
You’re most welcome Judy, and yeah I think it’s only a matter of time
It has been like that for years...I keep hoping some kind of repair/support will solve that
I appreciate the raw, authentic feel of this video - love how the trini foodie in him just had to stop and try the items lol
I feel it de boy 😅😬
Aside from that, there's so much to learn about Trinidad and Tobago
Great initiative buddy 👏
Thanks bro 🙏🏽
Big up Port of Spain, smiling. Love you Uncle

Hey Trinbagoians Vibes👌👙, watching from long distance, acroos the seas, oceans, mountains, and wilderness🤣.
Rajeev sweetheart, you're always killing me with that appetite of yours to eat😋. Rajeev love his doubles, and he don't fancy the channa in this doubles, but he enjoyed it and that's good😋😛.
Lovely vlog of Moruga and the beach. Beautiful country side, epic nature. Wow, tide is very low, and calm. When I come to Trinidad, I want to visit those rocks and get pictures taken in that area.
Rajeev, thank you for showing Moruga, I enjoyed exploring with you.
God bless you always, Sir😘
I hope you can visit those rocks whenever you touchdown
Happy Sunday Rajeev 😊 interesting vid. Food is a must. The 10.00 roti looks good. Moruga is beautiful. Thx for showing us.
Thanks Suzy, hope you had a great weekend as well and the roti was pretty good, especially for the price
The Cocoa museum is in Moruga there are many Villages that makes up Moruga and the beach area is called Grand Chemin Moruga
You are absolutely right about the many villages that makes up Moruga, in my head I thought it was closer to the beach, either inside La Ruffin or La Lune 🙈 and thanks for the info on the beach
Grand Chemin
I recall in my Trini days circa 1950's St Augustine,Roger Gibbon's Daddy and all his hunter chums used to spend their weekend down in Moruga forest hunting Agouti and Quenk for de pot
I believe there is also a nice waterfall in that forest as well, one day I’ll go exploring beyond the bridge
Beautiful Trinidad & Tobago my island home from 1950-1955 and home away from home from 1955-1970.Once you eat a Doubles,a Roti and a bowl of Callaloo soup You take the island it's dear cosmopolitan people wherever you go in your stomach mind and heart. You are doing good work to celebrate all that is good in the Nation. Keep safe and watchful at all times. As some once said ." May You TRINI VIBES,have courage to change the things you can .Serenity to accept the things you cannot change. And the wisdom to know the difference."@@TrinbagoVibes
@@davidmiles-hanschell thanks, those are some very encouraging words of wisdom
It's a shame to see how lovely and amazing Trinidad is and how the Government neglects the condition of the roads? They are just filling their pockets with monies!
If only we had a naturally producing pitch lake Jed…. But it’s unfortunate to see many of our wonderful landscapes succumb to deterioration
Nope. The majority of the budget that is allocated to Ministry of Works and Transport goes to paying wages and salaries of public servants within that Ministry. Because of this, there is little money left to execute new projects and conduct maintenance. One of the solutions to this problem is to reduce the size of the public workforce, but we all know how people would react to that.
Sometimes the contractor sub-contract out the contract so many times, when the last contractor receives the contract he has so little to work with.
Everybody wants to blame the gov. but nobody wants to pay taxes, it takes money to upkeep the roads and bridges, just saying
@@ashton272 taxes are being paid, it’s called PAYE, it’s just other stuff are the priorities of our tax funds
Rajeev your videos are always interesting an informative…. I never been to Moruga … thank you for adventure.♥️
Thanks Davina and you’re most welcome
Good evening Rajeev. This video was excellent. You made bawl out $10 for that roti 😂. I enjoyed this video. Thank you.
You’re most welcome and I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Rajeev! you ent easy inno, I enjoyed watching this one especially d roti & doubles part, great job once again.....💯💥
Lol, that’s how we roll, glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for for video stopped there for a couple days from Toronto to Grenada. Did not explore much but enjoyed the warmness of the people..loved the country vibes 🇬🇩🇨🇦
You’re most welcome
1 thing I believe I have in common with rajeev is I does always have to buy a doubles wherever I see a doubles spot,lol..Nice video as always
Lol, that’s the trinbagonian blood/spirit in we
@@TrinbagoVibes For real
Hey Rajeev, just saying, your videos are fun to watch. Nice clean smooth footage and decent small talk. Keep it up! Thanks !!!
Much appreciated 🙏🏽

Thank you 🙏🏽
Full support from Barbados🇧🇧
Boom!!! Much appreciated bro 🙌🏽🙌🏽🇧🇧
Cool to see it
Indeed it does
You want to tell me that the government can’t fix up that spring bridge to preserve it. Surely they can also fix the statue before it toppled over.
Jeron Jed, if only…hopefully one day they can link our historical sites with tourism
So much valuable historical features being left to decay in plain view.
I remember going to school in Arouca in the late seventies, there two historical houses from the last century on the main road, both are gone now .
@@rickyaustin5164 most unfortunate
The Tourism ministry is a waste of time. I send many ideas to the minister. And nada! All they do is put up signs by historical sites. Without fixing the roads to get there. We are not serious with tourism!
@@brownsugar2271 sadly this is true, unless someone big invest in it
My home Town. An homesick 😔
I should have put a disclaimer, but big up your hometown 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Good Afternoon ♥️🇹🇹 ENJOYED the Vlog 👍🏼 Thanks for sharing 🌺
Good day, glad you enjoyed it, have a great week ahead 😁
Haven't been to Moruga for years bro. Thanks for showing us what they have to offer
You’re most welcome bro
I like how you incorporate the other episodes with this one, keep it up
Thanks 🙏🏽
Great video as always, thourally enjoyed it. You took a chance on that bridge man..lol the $10 roti looked like a winner.
Was moving very cautiously to a point, then I was wait, I’ve got my drone, lol…and yes the roti was good
We made this journey a few months ago. There's a beach further in beyond the spring bridge, it was worth seeing for us. Maybe you can check it out next time. ☺
Will definitely do this on the second trip
Great video thanks for highlighting Moruga used to live there until migrating
Whoaa, glad I was able to take you back to home
At least the first people of Trinidad- the native Indians is recognized. Well done.
Yup, although I think more can be done
I actually live in Princes Town and I have never been to Moruga...I have heen to almost every beach on both islands, yet I haven't been there...lol.
lol, I think it's time you make a trip to get that off the beach list
Thank you for this amazing trip have to revisit best to you
You’re most welcome
One of my grandpa was born in Moruga. Haven't been there in years ❤️🤍🖤
Wow, nice…so you’ve got some roots from there
@@TrinbagoVibes yeah my family from all over. I was born in a different part as well. I really hope you know how much it means to me that you vlog the country like this. I miss it and haven't been home since I was a child but I remember almost everything. Thank you so much Rajeev.
@@krissypoof you're most welcome
Beautiful vlog would love to visit that beach whenever I do get to visit Trinidad.
Thank you and hopefully you can whenever you touch down
Drive across the bridge it nice, the drive at first is a bit bushy and lonely but you'd be amazed how many people go there. The view is nice and there use to be carat sheds, place to cook and step to go down to the beach. Very relaxing, I'm not sure how it is now. I haven't been there in about 6yrs.
this comment making me want to explore beyond the bridge even more...feel like a Moruga trip, round 2
Nice video rajeev
Thanks Dianne
God bless you bro enjoy the country side view moruga I live close to rock road nice drive to moruga ❤
Much appreciated bro and glad you enjoyed it, Blessings to you and yours as well
My mouth watering. 😋
Lol, I should put this disclaimer at the beginning of my videos
Great video bro! Encouraging me to take a drive down. Haven't been there in years
Thanks bro, and yeah take that drive
Thanks for sharing this video 💖 I've never been to Moruga.
You’re most welcome, now you know what you can expect if you ever decide to take the drive 😁
Next time come to Marac Village Moruga to see the Tar mine ..yes we have our very own Tar mine ..
Will be checking you for that, I’ve always wanted to visit it
When you pass that bridge it have a really nice beach
So I’ve been told, will have to do another trip down that side
Nice vlog Vibes, I never saw this part of the country.
🇩🇰🇹🇹
Well Ricky, you have seen that part of Trinidad now so what are you gonna do about it?
Stop talking, get off your lazy ass and make that journey to MORUGA😳🤣.
Greetings from a Trini Red Woman in Denmark 🇩🇰 💃 👠 👙
Thanks Ricky
Did you go La Lune?
@@rickyaustin5164 negative, I only had time to do the church and La Ruffin…round 2 I’ll do La Lune
Mr. Rajeev...add to this the Moruga Haunted tombstone. Thanks for another great video.
Ohhh, making notes for round 2…glad you enjoyed it
Nice vid Raj 😎
Thanks bro
Enjoy your video Bro ❤👍
Much appreciated bro
I went to school in moruga, haven't been back there since I moved...
Nice, apart from the roads, I don’t think much has changed
It has been 15 years and the place still looks the same
@@nalisajackson547 wow, not sure if this is a good thing or bad
It have a next beach there when you passed the bridge alot of people does go there and bath and fish.
So the peeps told me in the area, tbh I wasn’t sure my vehicle could have gone and the belly was starting to rumble 🙈
My home😍
Nice 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Must visit Moruga beautifull scenery NY
You should if you get the chance, they also have a cocoa tour at various times in the year which is pretty good as well….hopefully I’ll be able to cover one sometime soon
The sea is brown because of its close proximity to the amazon river ..i think its the orinoco river
Correct is right, it is indeed as most of the southern coast, plus whatever comes down from the Moruga river in this case as well
Rajeev you are some impressive and intrepid explorer!
Much appreciated David 🙏🏽 it’s fun to explore these places and bring y’all along the journey
Yes man for sure; bring it on; should I ever have the good fortune to return to the Land of the Humming Bird and Kiskadee.@@TrinbagoVibes
Home townnnnn❣❣❣
Boom!!!
🤣 and there is the $10 roti lol
Only Love 🇹🇹😁🙌
Lol, yup…I’m still amazed they have these kinda prices
Further than the spring bridge have some breathtaking views but I don't know how it became private property. My entire family and I used to bathe there long ago. Police ususally run people from there. Lucky you didn't go.
Really, now I’m interested to find out more about there…possibly for a future video
The water on the beach was brown due to heavy rainfall, usally its nice
The water is nice to bathe, but from an ascetics standpoint yeah
If you followed the short road you would have met a more popular bathing beach.. water is much cleaner most times..
So I’ve been told, but next rounds 😁
U should try the double van by chances supermarket trust me your gonna love it
Adding this to the list for the next time I’m down on that side
i haven't visited Moruga in a while, sadly mostly due to the roads, its a nice quite place.
It is indeed
Thats paul navarro that is my great great uncle he is the statue he was the chief of moruga
Ohhh, thanks for this info 🙏🏽🙌🏽
Hey thanks for the tour. Must go there soon. Government's full of BS
Dat $10 roti ah coming fr dat😂😍
Can’t go wrong with that $10 roti
Great video, I love the southern and central parts of the island!!!
We have to stop blocking the roadways to burn tires and debris since all of that pollution is contributing to climate change, when are we going to learn????
🤷🏽♂️ hopefully we will learn before it’s too late
That statue is the first doubles man
Lol…you’ll have to go down Princes Town if you’re speaking about the first doublesman
That was a great video Rajeev I just have one request when you doing the doubles and roti video can rate them like you use to in your other video I’ve seen like I give this doubles a three out of five same as the roti other than that everything else was great that was a big roti for ten dollars tho much respect 🫡 to you my brother love in de house 🏠
Ihu bro, I would normally rate if I’m doubles hopping as compared to these spur of the moment ones, but this would have gotten a 3 out of 5
@@TrinbagoVibes I feel you bro and I truly appreciate it
is how he keep saying "on the way to Moruga" and " i thought such and such was in Moruga" and im like but fam yuh in Moruga already yuh just exploring the area😂😂
I meant Moruga proper, or rather close to the sea in either La Ruffin or La Lune 🙈
Advanced countries will take extreme measures to maintain historical
structures. The statue on the beach the bridge are still in good shape.
It will take very little manpower to build a new foundation for the statue.
Does anyone know what it will cost?
Our government apparently has other priorities atm
30 days to restoration by concerned volunteers. A steel scaffolding to lift it above the found..... Form 4 pillars structure. Set a deep solid base. lower statue. Done all by villagers who care.
Hell with the government. Start a restoration fund. Build it visitors will come, business will strive. This is your town. @@TrinbagoVibes
A lot of precious history an culture being left to perish and disappear ... leaders will acknowledge things only wen it's to late.
Unfortunately true, Hopefully in doing these videos, someone will share it with those in power with the ability to do something about them…otherwise it will just be a video documentary
Hey Rajeev I bought some moruga scorpion pepper plants New York planted them boy those r 🔥 I 🔥🔥🥵🥵
Yea they are, a small piece would add flavor to any seasoning
Yes finally I not 3 days late for once

Great video! Does the fishing village have places to enjoy fry fish or roast fish?
Not to my knowledge or at least I didn’t see any spots offering that along the way…next time I’m down there I’ll enquire
Where's your # double spot in Trinidad? Looking for some recommendations.
It depends on the area I’m in..Sauce or Ken’s doubles in Curepe, the second peeps I did in the Nap Mayaro doubles hopping video in Cocoyea, Gewandass by mosquito creek
I like to visit Trinidad
Nice, one day hopefully you can
Are they waiting for the light house to fall instead of restoring it now🤔🤔🤔
We can only speculate, unfortunately we are mostly reactive then proactive
@@TrinbagoVibes independence....60 years "old".....haven't learned anything?.....remove Columbus statue etc....but our light houses are falling on their own...go figure....sigh...such a beautiful country with so much promise yet only corruption reigns....
What about the spring bridge in Blanchisseuse?
Those are the last two of its kind here on the island, the one in Blanchisseuse was stopped being used for vehicular traffic in 2012 while the one down Moruga was stopped at a later time (I could be wrong about this as I got this info from the National Trust TT website
