Well, for one reason or another, you now want to remove DS4Windows, but have noticed that it's easier said than done. Mainly because there's no option to uninstall DS4Windows - and there never has been. Instead, you have to remove the components that make up the application. In this video, we'll show you how to remove DS4Windows from your PC/Windows install.

Excellent video and still relevant in 2022. It is very important to watch the very last step beginning at 3:41 to completely remove ds4's presence from your machine.

I've switched to reWASD, and was kind of amazed I hadn't heard of it until now. I'm still learning how to set it up (the UI is nice and clean, but a bit hard to understand), but it's quite powerful and far less scary to find, install, etc. (It does cost a bit of money, but for the polish and support, I'll gladly pay.)
My ds4windows wasn’t in roaming. What do I do?

Ironically, DS4Windows continued to exist because Steam Input didn't do what I wanted.

I installed it, and I can't find that vigem bus driver in the list to uninstall unfortunately. It's really causing serious issues with some emulators and DS4 motion controls. :(

so i uninstalled the program from control panel, deleted the entire folder on desktop (for some reason it didnt show up in appdata so i think im good), and then went to device manager clicked view, and then deleted it from there as well

Ever since I used DS4Windows (and uninstalled it) Rocket League won't recognize a controller WITHOUT steam input anymore...
Only steam input works now and it always shows XBOX buttons...
Rocket League should recognize PS controllers without steam's help... Any ideas?

Go to the place where it says uninstall VB driver and then click uninstall and it will remove both I think
does this also delete all of the other programs you had to download for DS4??

When there's an update, you just unzip the file into the same directory and it replaces the existing exe.

i don't have that ViGEM Bus driver........ but I did step by step what I had to do with this programm

Mine works but i decided uninstall but i cant find vigem driver in uninstall programs, i did find the folder in c: which i deleted, i did %app and found no folder there either. So was mine installed wrong from beginning? Is it gone now tho?
The bus driver went by a different name on my computer. "nefarious" something. Same logo, different name.

Hey man I tried following this video but your display looks different than mines example I searched that%appdata% and nothing came up, I mean before I saw your video I had deleted the program just by right clicking and clicking delete on any folders with ds4 and now when I try to play my n64 emulator know matter what game it always say no controller and I cannot get past that..... Any ideas?
I had option for app data or program files
