- Just an update on the Weber Spirit II that I bought in early 2019. Everything has held up quite well accept for the flavorizer bars. I suspect if I had used the BBQ more they would've not lasted two years. I happened to get 4 out of them because I don't use the BBQ much between December and March. All other items that tend to be consumables like the grilling grates, ignitor, thermometer, and wheels are holding up very well.
I contacted weber about the bars and they sent me no charge replacements as they are covered under the 10 year warranty. Nice benefit. Thanks Weber for standing behind your product!
Quick tip. Rotate your flavorizer bars into that center position yearly allowing them to wear more evenly. This will extend the need maybe another year or two before reolacement. Especially if youre out if warranty.
Thanks for the video. It is good to know that flavoring bars are covered by the guarantee.
I wish I would've seen this before I replaced my bars. I never imagined they would've been covered.
Hey, thanks for the update. I have been looking to replace my 10 year old Weber 310 with one of these.
I bought mine six years ago in red and the only thing I've replaced are the flavorizer bars which Weber replaced for free and a battery for the stater. Great barbecue !
I have the same issues with the flavorizing bars. I use the grill pretty often and I make sure to keep it clean and covered when not in use, so I'm glad its not something I'm doing. I had no idea these were covered w/ the warranty. Thanks for the vid, I'm going to see if they'll replace mine.
Weber is awesome with their 10 year warranty
That's awesome they replaced them!
Thank you for your video... This really is good to show me how it goes with using a propane barbeque. I am a complete beginner as I have never used one, even though I am 79 years old. It would be great to cook outdoors now that I am following a carnivore lifestyle. Your unit does look pretty bad to me, as I am a perfectionist, but maybe this is just how it is with one of these. I thought about Weber because of the guarantee. Mine would have to be outside year-round in Canadian Winter... so... I just don't know, though I have looked at a Weber Traveler compact that I could fold up and put inside for Winter.
Really appreciate your commitment to doing another review after 4 years. I have been looking at getting into gas bbq game. The E-210 is a very strong contender as it's small and good price for the quality. Will most likely purchase it soon! I'm sure people will hate me but we've been happy with Weber Q1400 electric grill 😂 anyway, our kids are growing and a larger grill is required. Greetings from Finland!
Thanks for the flavoring bar info. Trying to repair stuck control valve. Any tips on removing control panel cover?
I just checked this model at Lowe’s today and it seems like the propane tank can now be tucked inside the lower center compartment. ???
Do you have or use the rotisserie attachment? Do you think the 2 burner gets plenty hot enough? Thanks for the good videos.
Does this 2 burner grill do well with indirect grilling?
I hate my Weber Spirit. The flavourizer bars rust out quickly and rust flakes pop up into your food. The door falls off every time I use it. The nibs wore out -just plastic and won’t turn the controls and grease fires occur all the time due to the poor design and how grease builds up on the bars and interior belly.
Stainless steal is Sure the better choice
