      I live in Wyoming and ever since I got a turbo I will never ever ever go back. I have a Ranger 20 FX4 Lariat after selling my Tacoma. The power train is light years ahead, but it is the turbo at altitude it keeps the power and is so much better, it ain't even close. NA engine basically turns to shit at altitude. Never ever will go back to NA engine..

    I bought a new Titan SV in 2019 . I now have 72,000 plus miles mostly towing a 16 ft car trailer with a 3,000 lb. race car and generator plus tools. Absolutely no issues other than tires and a battery. Much better fuel mileage than my former Ram with a Hemi. Best truck I have owned in the past 25 year's.

    Most underrated truck on the market! Love the engine and column shift. Love that this truck has "one" engine option and it isn't a turbo charged engine! Like all good things... 2024 is the last year for this awesome truck. Once this is gone, you don't have much choice anymore. GM, Ford, and even Toyota are too preoccupied with V-6 Turbos and 4 cyl goofy hybrids. This is the LAST "Good" truck on the market. 😢

    ‘21 Titan XD owner. I got it used with only 12K miles on it with 3”+ ICON lift adjustable front, titan light bar with Rigid 8K lights and Nismo cat back exhaust. It rides very comfortably and sounds great with the V8 + NISMO exhaust. All the features included are great. 360 view and adaptive cruise control, rear locker. ACCwork great. My first vehicle to have that. The XD is long and I appreciate the auto reverse breaking. The list goes on why I chose this truck vs the others. I tried all the trucks before getting the best for my families needs. GMC Sierra X31 long bed and Chevy, and RAM I test drove. Even Honda Ridgeline and Toyota Tundra - no V8 no sale. Turbo trucks = issues. Even RIVIAN makes no sense right now. A RIVIAN towing a car from East coast to California had to charge every 100 miles. Crazy waste of time. I have put 5k miles in 2 months of purchase. I love to drive this vs my diesel commute car. I will do a video to share with those who want to see my TITAN XD. The warranty is TOP. Its RARE to see and that’s what makes it special. Titan and Titan XD are the way to go for me……..great review.

    You gotta remember it’s 60 grand, it has everything one needs wo paying a fortune. Good power from a V8, towing, good technology, panoramic roof, can go off road, etc. I think honestly this is all one really needs, like I said the price is what makes it a great deal.

      You hit the nail on the head. I bought a 2021 Titan XD Pro4x last year and payed just under $57g when all was said and done. The features per dollar of the Titan make it a nearly unbeatable value.
      Right now my father is in the market for a new truck. Like me, he has no real brand loyalties and just wants the best truck for his budget - so he's shopping around and giving everything a fair shake. He just recently test drove a 2022 Ram 1500 bighorn, and, although he liked it, they want $63g for the thing! We both agree that even at $57g (the same price as my truck) the bighorn is still an objectively inferior vehicle to my Pro4x in almost every meaningful way!
      There are better, more capable, more fuel efficient trucks than the Titan, but none that can really come close to the value proposition that the Titan offers. That's why I'm on my second one, it's just the best all around truck for the money.

    • @dave3682

    • @impaul41
      @impaul41 Před rokem +1

      @@dave3682 a pro4x is not in the tremor category it’s more aligned to a lariat with FX4 which I bought a v8 one for 57k.
      Just last year these could barely sell weigh 10-12k in rebates. 52-53k was a hard sell for a loaded P4X. Paying sticker is just terrible value .

    • @dave3682
      @dave3682 Před rokem +3

      @@impaul41 I'd argue that the Fx4 package is not comparable to the Pro4x. The Fx4 package does not get you a front skid plate, name brand off-road shocks, or off-road cameras. The Pro4x isn't quite at the same level as the Tremor, I'll agree, but it's much better than the Fx4 package and certainly not $14g worse than the Tremor. Either way you split it the Pro4x is a better value than either a Tremor or a comparably equipped Lariat Fx4 (which has an MSRP of $71,025... Which is already more expensive than the most expensive Titan you can get - a fully loaded XD platinum reserve has an MSRP of $70,835)

    As one in the market for a new truck, I like two aspects besides what was mentioned in the comments…1. You can get adaptive cruise control in the SV lower trim. It is maddening that the big three require one to buy upper trims for this option. 2. The crew cab is sufficient, but not excessively large. The big three have gone overboard with the crew cab size such that the trucks look out of proportion with small box and huge cab.. ( note that the Titan wheelbase is 5 inches shorter than big three and 3 inches shorter overall …for maneuverability that is a good thing in my view)

    I put an AMP Research bed step that is a lot like this Nissan step on my F-150 and I love it. Unlike tailgate steps, you can use it when the tailgate is up, when you're backed into a tight space, and when you have a trailer attached. I'd take it every time over the GM and Ford tailgate steps, which I think are gimmicky.

    I currently have a Lexus RX lease(had an IS needed something bigger) but I hate the seats(way too firm especially for a luxury SUV). Been thinking about a truck for a while now. Looked into all the brands. Tundra is super reliable but extremely dated and newer ones are having major issues. F150 is insanely expensive and is having transmission issues. Ram is, well, still a Chrysler, so enough said there. Chevy’s having tons of issues with their transmissions and engines. That leaves the Titan…
    I went and tested one yesterday for a good 20 minutes and absolutely fell in LOVE with it! V8 power, super comfy, priced right(2023 Pro4x loaded $53k), utilitarian, gorgeous truck in black.
    If the dealer is willing to fully buy my leased Lexus(they seem to be), I’ll be driving of these within a month…

    The ford could do 14,000 pounds of weight?? I have a 2021 company truck and i added 10 sheets of 3/4 plywood and the v6 engine was reving high, i dont know why they lie with weight capacity and also fuel economy

    • @MicahMuzio
      @MicahMuzio  Před rokem

      It depends on the engine. For 2021 the base v6 maxes out at 8,200 pounds. But with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 max tow is indeed 14,000 pounds.

    I was tempted to buy a Titan, but then I remembered that I could buy a F150, Ram 1500, or Silverado instead of a Nissan.

    Great review. I drive the new Nissan Rogue and find it basic and soulless which is what I am feeling about the Titan from this review. Much better options out there - the best, in my opinion, being the F-150.
