    The passengers were delighted to find out that the towing distance added 30,000 frequent flyer miles to their accounts. Many of them were convinced they were being towed out to runway 26 as a new fuel savings measure. One younger passenger told his mom, "I think we're there mom. One smooth landing."

    Greetings. U popped up in my recommendations months ago & liked what i saw. I grew up in the airline industry by my parents but not as pilots. They worked @ Usair & Usairways before the America West & AA merger. They too worked on the ramp as well while my father worked @ Cargo City in PHL. They worked @ several bases: ORD, MDW, BOS, PHL, PBI, ect. My mother retired bk in 2005 @ PHL when they had merged with AW as a ticket counter/gate agent. My father is currently a flight attendant for American based out of ORD & currently celebrated 35 years as of with Usairways/American since April of 1988 is when they both were hired. I was born in 1991. We're all from Chicago.
    I would love to have u on a panel together to talk about aviation & more. Thx so much madame Jessica. #salute!!!!!

      Oh wow!! That is amazing! The legacy of airline employees keeping Americans (and their cargo) connected all over the world! I would be happy to talk about the airline industry! Congratulations to your dad for 35 years 👏👏🎉

    A couple of times as you were looking to the rear, your right arm came across the screen and I was just about to yell at my screen 'Hey, down in front!'.
    Your daughter's video caught me by surprise. Very nice. Certainly a different take-your-daughter-to-work day. I am not asking anyone's age, but if she were to have you at school for a bring-your-parents-to-school day I'm guessing you'd have the coolest job out of all of them.
    Watching the lights go on and off and with the flashing red lights, I am curious as to the night vision problems that occur. I'm reminded of the MYTHBUSTER's episode where they asked the question of Why do pirates wear eye patches? It's not like they're all get an eye poked out every day. Turns out they use them so that one eye is always covered so that they can go top side and below deck and have one eye that's pretty well-adjusted. I know you're not wearing any eye patch, but how do you cope with night vision getting messed up like that?
    And remind me to not complain about having to back up into a tight spot when parking my car in a lot or even on the street. "Watch out for the Concourse" indeed.
    Great video.

    By any chance were you working gate A2 on the early morning of July 5th? I was doing a live stream on my channel and there were a couple women working that flight. Being up on the garage right above that gate I got some closeups of the ramp action on that plane. It looked like they were having fun down there.

    • @ladyandtheramp
      @ladyandtheramp  Před měsícem

      This was a push/pull. And it looks like the tower, then pilot, gave the instructions to pull all the way “to the top”. Which means the top of the alleyway, closer to the taxiway. Typically, that is because they need to clear that specific line for other traffic.

      The wingwalker will wave the bypass pin that has a red flag attached to it to the pilot. The pilot will acknowledge that he sees it…sometimes with a flash of the light on the aircraft to confirm. But always with a salute 😁
