Jon Rose Teaches Kronos Quartet To Play Fences

Jon Rose teaches Kronos Quartet to play barbed wire fences as musical instruments in preparation for their premiere of his string quartet for barbed wire fences at the Sydney Opera House. The original rehearsals took place on fences in the Blue Mountains of Australia near Jon's home, until neighbors armed themselves and fired warning shots. So Jon built portable fences uniquely tailored for each member of Kronos, and begins their fence music boot camp in this previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage from production of Steve Elkins' feature documentary THE REACH OF RESONANCE.
