Daigo has a superb sense of spacing. I had no idea he was THIS good. And yeah, everyone's seen the parry thing he does, wow, wish I could play against him or be there chanting "HEYS" when Yun was doing his juggles. I learned much just by watching this_^)
Overall, Daigo is the best, look at this track record dating back to '98 alpha3 tournament, dude has been playing sf/2d games for a while, winning some big tournaments getting top 3 finishes on many other tourneys. Daigo is well known throughout the U.S, europe, and asia.

Daigo will always be forever known as one of the all time greats, but i believe KO in his prime was THE greatest third strike player out there bar none.
K.O's Yun was showing that famous Hong Kong style (of course K.O is Japanese). Daigo is still my favourite Street Fighter player though. He is brilliant to watch.

It depends on what your definition of "work" is, Yun takes a lot of work to win. If you want to say that some characters are better than other characters in this game, then yes I agree totally.
There is a major difference between imitation, and real performance. And that is results. If you think your better then the beast, just win in evo and proove it.
I'll admit, Daigo had a great winning streak at first. but I BELIEVE, he got cocky a bit, that's when he started to slip up. If you notice throughout the fight. He combos into his Shippu Jinrai ALOT with a low medium and straight into it. KO I believe saw this and used it to his advantage. If you notice through this video KO does manage to make a comeback. Until Daigo unleashed the beast.
This is by far, the best fight I have seen on all of CZcams. It is the most intense and has the most action. Two very skilled players, but Daigo is better. I love watching him play, and wish more Vid's were up on him.
He does start to buckle under pressure when he gets corner trapped but that's natural. He don't need work, he naturally got beat by a higher damage dealing character. Hands down, that's gotta the best Yun player I've ever scene.
Has there been any SF3 matches on this level yet. I mean im not like saying anything against any other SF3 players, but this set as a whole has to be one of the most entertaining sets i've ever seen..and im personally more of an Alex fan. I personally think this was Daigo at his best..Other than Guilty Gear.. I haven't seen him perform much better and close to flawless in a game yet.
I agree, they really made fireballs toned down but they have their uses for baiting people. Ex fireballs are a lot more useful I think you'll agree. A hadouken at point blank feels like a slap to the face now ;p
The SA 3 super is fairly weak, but it has notable advantages over SA I and II. For one it has three short meters, so it is easy to charge. You also get more ex moves. And the move can be hit confirmed from a lot of moves. It is also an effective move to super cancel into. Which is why it is his strongest super, because the meters offer much more flexibility. The supers themselves aren't grounds for picking a particular super art.
I can't help but notice that in the middle rounds Daigo was taking a savage beating by juggle king Yun, but in the last match he bascially said "You're not winning..."

No, Jankenpop is right. The top is Yun, Chun, and Mak. You can argue it all you want, but Japanese tourneys prove it. On top of that, top Japanese players AGREE that Makoto is better than Ken. Ken is now thought to be comparable to Dudley -- they're both low A-tier.
Yun is awsome! There's absolutely no reason why he should not return to SFIV! The SFIII characters in general are excellent! And deserve some respect!! Except for Gill!
As much as I am a fan of Daigo and say he's the best Ken player, and among the top tier players in Japan, he is nowhere near the skill level of KO. KO has enough confidence in himself to play with 3 different characters in ranbats and SBOs (Yun, Makoto and Yang). He is able to do more than well with them. He, Boss and Kuroda are apparently on levels higher than EVERYONE else in Japan.
Read on the capcom forum, that after the re-release of MvC2 for PSN, they're deffinatly thinking of another remake. I dont think it's gonna be like II HD remix with the graphics / balance, just online. Rumoured though =]
BECAUSE THEY AREN'T. Although they do so much damage, their priority over other chars is not as much as Ken, Yun, Chun. Ken has A LOT of options. Ryu is too slow to be top tier, Akuma isn't because of him taking so much damage, Hugo doesn't because of his dash speed and the fact that most of his moves require close range that can easily be poked out of.
Um Yun and Yang's top tier play styles are pretty different. Yang doesn't "juggle" and neither does Makoto. But you missed my point. Yes I notice the godly/great difference you made, but OVERALL KO is a GODLY player, Daigo is a GODLY Ken. And no, KO isn't just "great" with Yun and Yang. His Yun is the best with Nitto second. And his Yang good as well.
Diago's videos have a disproportionate amount of videos in comparison with every other player of 3rd Strike, which is in large part due to the full parry. While Ken has always been good, many people DID start playing 3rd Strike because of Daigo. In my opinion Deshiken is a better Ken and even flashier than Dagio; but he never gets anywhere near the view counts.
I could be wrong, but Yun's super seems a bit unbalanced. If a skilled person uses him, he can always do damage with his super, but other characters can miss or be stopped. Even if KO won, I still think Daigo is more skilled.
i could tell daigo was gettin tired, it happens, KO adapted and dominated once he patterned out, theres only but so many ways to suprise your opponent with ken.
3rd strike is dead. This was probably the second biggest tourney in America this year, so what/where would you suggest is more competitive? Also I'm familiar with the 3s scene (if there is any "scene" remaining anywhere) in Ohio as I live in Cincinnati. True shit. Also Daigo on a recent interview sai that that year (2k4) he wasnt playin 3S seriously so go figure. The next year he won the SBO with Nuki as partner and against Kokujin and KO so he isnt any slouch at 3S.
I think K.O. definitely has the potential to outclass Daigo with his third strike playing skills, it's just that with Daigo's skills, I just don't see how he could lose to anyone.
I think daigo is the better player here just because he can figure out K.O.'s tactics better than Ryan Hart. I think this video is weighed more on Daigo.
@frenzii3s that is just one tournament man. in most of the others tournaments dagio has enter in, he has place 1st or 2nd in 3rd strike, but i do agree if he goes into a tournament now for 3rd strike he would most likely not do as well because the players are much stronger now. but that doesn't mean he can't win. also with 3rd strike being less popular now there would really be no point in him working so hard at a game that nobody plays as much anymore not to say there are no loyalist around.

It's his job to utilize what attacks his character has to defeat the opponent; not suck worse than Daigo, or anyone else he plays. People that call anything "cheap" disgust me. lmao looks to me daigo threw the two latter matches to make things interesting. The first two he won without to much difficulty. Then all of a sudden he loses the next two, to the same repeating move(s). Then in the last match he just obliterates KO. Daigo was just playing with him.

No. SF4 is shit compared to SF3. SF4's downfall: 1 step backwards (see reasons below) No universal nullifier, instead when you commit to something, you're dead or they mess up. Crouching light punch cancels out every move, even ultras/supers sometimes. Focus Attacks are terrible, 2 quick attacks, multihitting, AND NOW armor breaking all ruin it Every single move has a huge wind up and wind down (j.hp-->hp-->light tatsu-->shoryuken You actually have to predetermine beforehand WHEN to press it).

daigo is good, ko is good, yun is also a top tier character so the match is really up for grabs, sometimes you get lucky though.
he does a smaller bar to fill up...plus the combos and special moves that connect do help =D

IMO, it was because of the techs. Techs allowed for players to read their opponents moves and turn the fight around on a dime.

I think this is as well as the game can be played. Also maybe the closest a non Chun or Yun will ever come to winning an evo.

its less popular in America because people are too worried about boring ass games like halo and call of duty modern warfare 2.While I do appreciate fighting games still,hell I still play my sega saturn with games like street fighter alpha 1,zero 2,real bout special,and x-men vs street fighter.

people are just jealous when somebody is really good saying that they are overrated. well daigo is really that good whether or not you agree. if not who would you consider to be great?
lmao looks to me daigo threw the two latter matches to make things interesting. The first two he won without to much difficulty. Then all of a sudden he loses the next two, to the same repeating move(s). Then in the last match he just obliterates KO. Daigo was just playing with him.

You know KO won that EVO that year right? Why would he throw the matches? Bad logic. KO is/was the best player in the world. Daigo is the best Ken in the world by far. But KO is better as much as I love Daigo.

No. SF4 is shit compared to SF3.
SF4's downfall:
1 step backwards (see reasons below)
No universal nullifier, instead when you commit to something, you're dead or they mess up.
Crouching light punch cancels out every move, even ultras/supers sometimes.
Focus Attacks are terrible, 2 quick attacks, multihitting, AND NOW armor breaking all ruin it
Every single move has a huge wind up and wind down (j.hp-->hp-->light tatsu-->shoryuken You actually have to predetermine beforehand WHEN to press it).
7:24 absolutely ridiculous that super with that tiny of a meter should be able to do that much damage.
