    I'm a trim/finish carpenter who's been in the game for a good while. I've worked on VERY expensive homes and I am considered a B- grade carpenter. (There are like 50 A+ carpenters in North America, in my opinion.) Anyway, I couldn't do this in 8 weeks reliably, by myself. It's not something I would take on with a contract if I couldn't have at least a remedial grade helper. Whoever you are, whatever your background, you are a fucking beast. Hats off.

    That is the exact ceiling I have in mind for the ceiling in my current interior remodel of my 37' 89 Fleetwood Class A Motorcoach.
    So far I've upgarded the 460 Ford and C6 3 speed tranny to a Very Healthy 5.9L 12 valve Cummins and Allison 5 speed tranny. Regeared the Diff and installed a positrac . Then put a Ford 7000 MDT truck Radiator and Intercooler in it. Mechanically it's almost done, just gonna pump up the engine HP to 450 with an AFC Live Fueler. The interior I've been working on over the last few years, but had to take a break so my wife and I could fight our cancers. It would take too long to explain all the interior mods but it has a 55" Pop Up TV and Electric Movier Theater Recliners in the living area. We are now healthy and I promised her I'd remodel the house before I get back on the Coach. (Should have it finished by Spring.)
    The MH won't be an Off Roader, more of a nice base camp, but I've got a special 4X4 for those rock run trips.
    Thanks for showing off your Rig. Going to show the Wife the Ceiling so she will understand my ideas better.

Honestly though, I love the style, the colors and materials and the toilet is great! Amazing build. So well thought out and stunning. The one thing I'm unsure about is the lack of access directly into the cab. Don't you feel like that creates a safety issue? Do you ever feel uneasy because of it? I feel like I'd never be able to sleep in the back, and any sound outside would make me panic if I didn't have direct access to the cab.

    • @drivetheglobe
      @drivetheglobe  Před 2 lety +3

      Thought about access from the cab but it would have taken up too much room in both the habitat and the cab- and probably would have also leaked with the cab tilt to overcome. They make so many different products that I feel I could adapt to what I’m trying to do, just a little worried about how it all may hold up after a few hours down a bumpy dirt road. I know it’s still early on your build but do you have any pros/cons with how they’ve held up or expect to hold up? Thanks again, looks great!

      Its early but I have taken them on one brutal dirt track already. Honestly, the cabinets in my trailer were way less quality and that thing went all over the place on poor roads and off road and they survived fine. I think they will be solid. Thanks for watching.

    Looks like a great build-out. Did you use any special tools in the design to make sure all the systems were taken into consideration and worked/would fit together? Nothing like getting things installed and then realizing you need to run a cable or pipe through an area, or that door clearances wouldn't work etc.

    • @drivetheglobe
      @drivetheglobe  Před 2 lety +1

      Having built stuff before I always put a few extra wires and pipes in as back up in case. And of course always measure 50 times! 😂.

    This is amazing. Not stealth camping is it?! Although I can't help being impressed, and I like the build, not sure I entirely approve of such a monster. But top marks for creating it.
