      The covers literally only snap on at the top corner at back of console on each side. You pull up and back on just that corner and it will pop off, that is how they are designed to be easily removed by consumer. Putting them back is the same you slide it on to where all the “pins” slide into their respective slots then you push in on the corner that’s towards the back of the console and it’ll snap back into place.

Although with the ps5 I use microfiber cloths, alcohol and the same mini vaccum he has to suck the dust from the holes, I never will open it up all the way inside because we might ruin it, if you want to do that take it to a professional every 2 years

    Quick tip: before covers off gently vacuum vent shrouds. Then once off if a lot dust built up on fan blade cover gently vacuum off Dont low into the machine. Then for stuff can reach get air duster or spray and hold vacuum above guard and spray at same time. Everything thing you kick up gets sick Ed right out. Very satisfying. Just did it to mine and thought I’d share. Don’t let vacuum pull too hard tho.

    I just hoover the vents and sometimes remove the fan. But i dare not attempt to open the shell with million screws and fiddly connector strips to pull and risk ruining. I did that to my PS4. Only the controller tho, pulled the ribbon strip out and had to replace it.
    Worst thing i did when cleaning my PS4 was clean too well and nudge the eject button connector off kilter this stopped functionality of ejecting. No biggie. But it's always something.

  • @Latino_Burrito

    I tried taking off the panels and the latches in the inside broke… not all of them and it’s not too bad it latches on to the ps5 still with relatively no problem but yeah a few broke. So just a little pro tip… don’t just try to yank off the panels, I mean I didn’t like just try to brute force yank them off lmao I literally tried doing it the way this guy did it he made it look so easy but there was so much resistance I couldn’t tell what I was doing wrong so when I did manage to get it off they snapped. So don’t try to just pull the panels off you’re supposed to like, pull down and away, not just straight up pull them off.

      I would say. You're not using it so it wouldn't overheat. Just make sure whatever you use is clean and not full of anytime like pet hair eh.

    Is it a good idea to blow the dust in ? Rather than sucking it out ?

    • @joshuasticky
      @joshuasticky Před 2 lety

      Video it pointless and no common sense at all!! Suck not blow. Not sure why you would tell ppl to blow the dust into the machine more 🤦🤦 To get the dust out you have to open up more parts and take the fan out which is very simple. This video only cleans roughly 30% of the dust out

  • @WTFmental
    @WTFmental Před 2 lety

    Why would you blow the dust? It would just push the dust in further?
