An oldie but a goodie - worth a second watch now that we're planning to come back here in Feb/Mar'24

Heeey where's the Cannondale? You're riding something pretty flash now! Maybe an Orbea bike check might be around the corner??? :D Brilliant stuff!

Great eye 420 Sesame Street. I must film that bike check video before I scratch it up. Still waiting on a handlebar stem to arrive ...must be on the ever given. Cannondale will be gathering cobwebs. 80(

Luckily this is in my back yard. How far was the ride. Just stunning and you couldn't of had a nicer day. I have an ebike so just wondering what distance it is.

Lucky you living in such a lovely region. From the start of the track its about 14km to where we turned around. Because it's out and back you should be able to Guage your battery life pretty well. I would have liked an ebike on the main climb as it was tough.
Thanks for watching and I hope you get a day like we had for your adventure

Hey guys....Another "thoroughly enjoyable" vid....the XC/Trail vids are the most relatable to me now...(in my 60s and been mtbing for 2 years:( )....You both do a brilliant job of conveying what to expect on your vids!!
Your Paparoa,Old Ghost Rd and Coppermine vids gave me a taste of what to expect last Xmas/New Year and this one and Welcome Rock and Te Anau give me a taste of things to come when I return Dec/Jan this year....
Any plans to upload any North Island vids? (PS,Ran into you both, not literally at Lyell Saddle hut end of last yr)....Cheers

Hi Chris, how did the rest of your old Ghost and Paparoa trip go ? Did you get to Heavens gate like you were planning ? Was cool to meet up and have a yak. Awesome your planning another South Island Expedition, will throw some more video ideas your way shortly.
Sorry a bit random with the video's. We still plan to post the north Island ones and a couple more from our south Island trip in March. Just waiting for some rainy days when the chores are done. May have to do some rough edits to get more posted.

@@getoutside519 Hey thanx for the reply G&S....
Geez you guys have good memories!....Got to Heavens Door and initially intended to turn at Ghost Lake Hut,but wimped out due to my fitness and sit-and-spin technique not being up to the climb back out on that loose rock.....
Paparoa was awesome...out and backs from each trailhead....Will do the full ride thru this year using their car relocation service....Hopefully Pike 29 memorial track will be open too!...I remember you saying you wanted to ride it last year,so guess you'll be back at some stage.
      Love your vids....Cheers guys
