In the last year we've sailed on Nieuw Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Nieuw Statendam and Koningsdam. (On Koningsdam again next month, then on Eurodam in May) Across all of the Holland fleet, the BB King's band on Nieuw Amsterdam was BY FAR our favorite. That group really was amazing!
This is a helpful comment!! It's AMAZING how different the quality of the BB King's Band can be...it really depends on who is in the band...a great singer or a great band director can REALLY make a difference!
Christina we absolutely agree and loved BB kings. The music was contemporary 60s 70s & 80s. Dancing we were right with the performers, a great nightly entertainment option. We also enjoyed the piano bar, especially the all request hour at 10:00 good tunes and a lot of fun. It was great meeting you, and keep up the great work! Chuck and Trish!

We hung out at the BB King venue, usually catching the last set. I'm usually not into bar areas, but we really got along with the staff and late night crowd at the counter. Friendly Phillipinos, both crew and passenger, interesting to hear their interactions and stories. I didn't catch any movies, either because I missed them or wasn't interested, but I'll probably do so on our transpacific. I caught most of the shows, comedians were my favorite.

Hello, enjoyed your video. We are 5 Star Mariners on Holland. We only cruise on the HA ships that have The BB King All Star Band in them. If BB don’t go,
we don’t go. 😊
We parter dance, we are Carolina Shaggers. We like the two floor/level queen’s lounge because the spot lights, strobe lights are not in our eyes while we’re trying to dance.

I didn't think about the strobe lights being a problem...that's a good point! and great that the Pinnacle ships have 2 levels!

Hi Christina! We completely agree with you on the BB King Blues Club All Stars, they are fantastic! The music was great and it wasn’t all blues which what I was a bit concerned about. The music was contemporary from 60s 70s & 80s and when dancing you are right there with them. We also liked the piano bar, especially the fun request hour at 10:00 lots of good tunes and a lot of laughs!
