Sailing on her in Aug 2024 for another Alaska Voyage. This time going south from Whittier. Neptune suite is the best and we really enjoy booking this class. Treating daughter and husband to Neptune suite across the hall from us. Hope they enjoy it. Safe sailings and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for post. The ship looks nice. But they need improvement. I can see outdated on the ship and need more decoration on stairwell.
Thank you for the comment!! Have you been on one of their Pinnacle class ships? Those are all WAY newer. Not sure about decoration on the stairwell though...except during the holidays. What kind of decoration are you thinking of?
Just from watching vids, I think the gym on this one is really similar to the Pinnacle ships. The only issue with the pinnacles, and probably the case here too, is that Caribbean sailings can be sort of muggy, and the mugginess would get into the gym, which wasn't really 'sealed off' as well as on some other ships. So after a few minutes on a bike, I'd be sweating like crazy (but I did use wipes and towels to clean the floor and bike back to pristine shape). And the Pinnacles do have a separate yoga room with trx hookups, so this ship may not have had that. We are do to go on this ship in early April, so hopefully no maintenance problems...
Thanks for the comment! I suppose it depends on you. For me, the gyms are WAY different on the older ships vs. the newer ships. I never go to the gym on the older ships because I absolutely hate the layout and find the gym to be way too hot and yucky looking. But on the newer ships, the gym is cooler, better laid out so that you don't feel like everyone is staring at you while lifting weights or doing situps, and has nicer TVs.

@@cruisetipswithchristina Happy new year to you, too! I'll test it out in a few weeks. I do dislike the 'old ship' tendency to put that yoga space on the floor out in the middle. It's always better when that is in some separate room. I really hate it when they are holding some snake-oil sales pitch in the gym, and dozens of shlubs are sitting on or crowding the gym equipment...
Back in the day they used to have complimentary hot hors d'oeuvres in the Ocean Bar during cocktail hour. I will be on this lovely ship in September for an Alaskan cruise. My last time on a HA ship was in 2013, when they had the free cocktail hour appetizers. Wondering if it is still a "thing"?
I wish they still had that!! I know that I've seen people with peanuts, but I'm not sure about happy hour appetizers. I haven't seen them, but again...my mom and I don't go to the happy hours.

Oh gosh...that's a good question! We are usually slow going in the morning...so they were open at 9am, but I'm not sure about as early as 7am. It may depend on the ship and the bar too.

@@cruisetipswithchristina Based on watching a lot of vids, it's ok if you just say 'nieuw Amsterdam', 'rotterdam', etc. No need for the 'ship' part ;-)
What ever happened to Lincoln Center Stage? Do they still play classical music on board?
They did NOT have the classical music at the Lincoln Center Stage on our most recent cruise with Nieuw Amsterdam. When we sailed on the Rotterdam earlier this year they did. My hypothesis is only the larger ships have all the entertainment options now.
They did have a band playing in the Ocean Bar that was more like jazz music. I’ll be uploading a video soon showing you what they look and sound like!!

Thankfully the wind blows it away so you don’t notice it! My mom is SUPER sensitive to smoke. We sat outside by the adult pool on our last cruise for lunch and breakfast and never smelled the smoke once 😊❤️
