Danielle Smith calls fed's clean energy regulations "utterly out of step with reality" | FULL

  • Alberta Premier Danielle Smith defended her government's six-month moratorium on renewable energy projects, while also calling Ottawa’s proposed clean energy plan "disappointing" during a press conference on Monday.
“[The regulations] are unconstitutional, irresponsible, and utterly out of step with reality. If they become the law of the land, these regulations would crush Albertans finances and they would also cause dramatic increases in electricity bills for families and businesses across Canada.” Smith said.
Smith would go on to say that her government wasn’t closing the door on cooperation with the federal government but that her government believes it could be done by 2050, not by 2035.
Smith was also pressured by reporters on the government’s decision to pause renewable energy projects in the province for six-months.
“We have put a six month pause to figure out whether or not we can address these issues of reliability and affordability and siting and reclamation.”

      @@alisdairarchibald2819 Sorry so long.
Well, do you mean privatization of the utility company for example here PG&E is a private company, which our government was been horrible in holding them accountable for the destruction and deaths that company has caused, so instead of holding them accountable, our California Gov Gavin Newsom wants to make PG&E customer owned by the taxpayers so he can make us accountable for what they would not hold PG&E accountable for.
Maui fire... same thing, utility lacj of maintenance and NEGLECT dispite words of warnings.
If a company sells a product they must be accountable for maintenance as well as product.
Our utilities and economy are sky rocketing all by design... they want all our money in order to pay for the transition from Fossil Fuel to EV... JUST like COVID... nothing this GASLIGHTING Democrat Leadership is doing is for the Well-Being or Best Interest for our environment or "We The People" it is for totally control of how we live and even what we eat AND this new global order fall inline BULLPUCKY.
So, Im not sure how it works over there, but why I liked Dani is because people, I assume higher ranking men were telling her to hurry up and meet these environmental goals or the sky is gonna fall... and she put the skids on and said 2060 is more reasonable... here they want to switched to EV 2030 - 2035... its NOT only undoable, but asinine especially when our "Renewables" energy is so frig'in dirty, dirtier than fossil fuels in the whole picture.
EV is full of humanity issues in the supply material among other dangerous "strategies"... people have gone mad with power and not a lick of common sense... for goodness sakes half the country cant define a woman.
Anyway... I truly dont know how it is over, but I dont care for your president either... hes on the same agenda as our GASLIGHTING Democrat Leadership is.

Don't shoot the messenger. The data is out there if you look for it. Wind farms have been shown to increase air temperatures in areas where they exist by 0.7C. They also prevent rain clouds from forming as wind farms affect the boundary air layers. This means that the air does not cool at night, dew does not form on the ground, this evaporates from daytime heat forming clouds that then should fall as rain. This is studies done by NASA, Harvard University and others. People think that green energy, like wind farms is good for the environment, but it is further from the truth. Germany has realized that green energy is not going to be enough and are now switching on 20 coal power stations. They came to Trudeau for our Natural gas, Trudeau so no business case for it. This was Germanies only option left open to them after the Feds said no.

Wind farms negate the use of farmland, destroy wildlife, and while the people pushing this idiotic nightmare say they can be re-cycled, the truth is, they cant....No windfarm on earth has been re-cycled ever at any time........They get drug off into the woods to rot, or are buried......Wind and solar make up for less than 00.1% of electrical energy world-wide, and this statistic alone makes them a ludicrous abomination that should be NOWHERE on earth.

Data proves - forest fires and burn acreage are in decline. Droughts are all within historical norms. Hurricanes are not getting worse or more frequent. Flooding is caused by the bullseye effect. Sea level is rising at 3.4mm per year, imperceptible without scientific instruments and there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop this except for adaptation. The temps have warmed by around 1C over the last 200 years. This has proven to be mostly benign, easily managed and a net benefit for humanity.

I’m simply amazed out how out of step the current federal government is with western Canada. Alberta will leave confederation with this ridiculous government. If you support this absolutely ridiculous government you will suffer the consequences that would involve the largest per person supplier of taxes and revenue to Canada. If you support this current liberal government you also support the end of the federal pension plan which is mostly funded by Alberta. Finally I’ll end in saying that after eight years of forced eastern mandated hell that we people in Alberta don’t care anymore. Either get your act together or don’t, we in Alberta will decide for you.

Take a look at your power and gas bill in Alberta today. We need a base amount of gas to fulfill electrical needs here because we don't have the luxury of water such as hydro Ontario, Quebec, BC, Labrador and Newfoundland. Forcing our hand in a short 10 year time frame will massively increase what we are presently paying today and, we all know that the carbon tax will increase yet again but, why isn't this money being directed toward the electrical load requirements that the Liberals think we need?

Or is it that she would have all of the gullible people believed that she is the one and only politician who listens to experts?
