  • A bunch of guys from Bulkhead Interactive decided to join us on stream. They play regularly at their work socials, and their games tend to be heavily based on social plays, rather than mechanical ones. It was not boring.

Need to have more BOTC with this group, the entire stream was hilarious from start to finish. Glad Ed had fun running it as well!

Why leave a slayer alive for that long? Great play by Ben, anyway.

      To that I say...
      *Spoilers:*
If you had someone falsely claiming to be the Investigator seeing a Spy on two people that aren't the Spy, you wouldn't leave them alive to be a Demon candidate? I thought that was a very clever play by Ben. He also made the right call to not wait until final 3. He also waited to make sure there's no Baron in play because he might be Drunk, and the longer he waits, the easier it is to find out if he's Drunk or missed the shot.

@@TheFinalChapters There are no sure things in BotC. It's easy to watch a game and "know" what should've been done but it's really not that simple.

@@TheFinalChapters It's been a bit since I watched this, but knowing that Ben is the Slayer is one small piece of the puzzle. You don't know what evil team was thinking, what they thought Ben knew, whether they actually had plans that failed to get him framed and executed, etc.
My favorite example game to give on why it's silly to say the "right" way to do things is a game I watched where Leviathan claimed to be Leviathan for 5 days. You think that's smart? Shouldn't good just obviously execute them since they're at least evil? He was literally claiming Leviathan and objected any time there were implications he was a Minion or good player doing a weird play. His defenses were along the lines of "Don't execute me, because I'm the Demon and I need to live for 3 more days for evil team to win." He won doing that.
Games don't just swing the way you expect them to. Players aren't predictable bots that will do X, Y, and Z every time. Even if you think for sure things will go one way, they possibly won't. You can't just armchair game saying you know the right way things should be done.

@@TheFinalChapters The reason I say that is because you go on with your rant of reasoning ignoring exactly what I said. Unlike you, I read what you put. However, you didn't get the point of anything I said and why it was pointless to put that response (which I did read).
