The Day Dale left he loved Racing so much he took nascar with him...!

dale sr was one hell of a man and driver, he was good because of how hard he had to fight to make it to winston cup and stay there, coming up through the support divisions on dirt to latemodels then to asphalt and working the way up to nascar is how everyone should be that is able to race cup series. It was such a great loss to not only to nascar but every sanction of racing. I love getting on here watching the old races with him behind the wheel of that goodwrench or wangler machine makes him still alive in my eyes..

My daughter was born on November 18, 2001, my grandmother died in 2001, Dale Earnhardt died, Mrs Epps died in 2001 and the world trade centers were hit by terrorist. There is a lot of things that happened in 2001. The only good thing that happened in 2001 was that my daughter was born and she only 3 lbs 3 oz when she was born. She will always be my angel.

2001 was a sucky year. Dale died in Feb. Broke my leg in March. Lost a grandson in May. Had another grandson born in July (that was the highlight of the year) Found out in August that my wife had cancer. 911 happened and my wife passed away in December.

I can completely relate with his description of Daytona. When you're driving past on whatever the turnoff from the interstate is, you see it and just can't believe something could be that big and in an area it's in. I remember getting glimpses through the grandstands and seeing the backstretch and thinking how is this thing this big and completely closed in.

He was overrated. If he hadn't bumped drivers out of the way who were faster than him, he might have won half the races and championships that he won. I had no respect for the man whatsoever as a driver. Anybody else could wreck someone and they were the Devil himself but if Earnhardt did it, it was fine.
