    You are fantastic. By far one of the best informational instructions and no BS or egomaniac presentation. Subscribed. I never do. ; ) Thank you.

    How does it work with payment methods, domeins etc when transferring?

      Good question! In this video: czcams.com/video/UQs94uSR_Rs/video.htmlsi=nV3cSHEvUQyOB9o6 I talk about transferring ownership,
      and in this video I talk about what happens at each stage: czcams.com/video/iO-azgRRYW8/video.htmlsi=EdcfQdQNzxFnsznZ
      Hope that helps! 😁

    hey @launchthedamnthing, I'm currently building two sites for 2 different clients on my squarespace account (first time moving from WordPress). I have a 7 day trial period for both, do you normally have them start their subscription at this time or only after the site is built and ready for the 'Launch' meeting?
    Great videos by the way!

      Thank you! So glad you're enjoying the content. Great question! I don't have my clients start their paid subscription to Squarespace until after the design is done, simply because then they have access to the website in Squarespace and can technically see what I'm working on while I'm working, which might make them nervous because it's always ugly, until it's not, -right? Ya don't want them seeing the in-progress design before it's ready! If you're only getting a 7-day trial, you can ask Squarespace support to extend it 1 week at a time as many times as you need, provided you're using their platform to design the site for a client; they'll always be happy to do that for us!
      When you've been invited as a contributor (admin) or started 3 sites, you can apply to Squarespace's Circle Membership (free) and that will give you 6-month free trials, which makes the process way simpler and you won't need those constant extensions anymore. 😁

    Sorry if i missed this explination in the video, but how does the client get the 20% off. Do I have to literally do the payment myself (being the circle member) or as long as I started the account and I'm still the owner will they get the discount after I make them a contributor (and before I transfer ownership) Thanks!

      If you are currently a Circle Member when you start the website trial, then all you have to do is transfer ownership to the client. (See how in this video: czcams.com/video/UQs94uSR_Rs/video.htmlsi=w9qiJZ6VRrotbBOu) The act of transferring it from you to them is what passes on the discount; it's automatic and you won't have to do anything else or pay anything yourself! 😁 ALWAYS have the client pay for their own websites. 😉

    Do I let my client pay for the subscription and domain once I transfer ownership or can I help them set this up?

    • @launchthedamnthing
      @launchthedamnthing  Před měsícem +1

      Good question. Yes, my preference is to always have the subscription belong to & be managed by the owner. I usually walk them through all of this on a Zoom call on 'launch day' but they do all the steps, and its their credit card on file when they pay, etc. So I get on the call, transfer ownership to them, and once they accept, I guide them through paying & publishing the new site. 😁
