I love u guys. Can I just say, after watching my hubby fish for 3 years it was u, Andy, who finally got me to see that it's not just boring old men who fish and in 2019 instead of just watching my hubby fish I decided to have a go and I caught a carp on my first outing and was literally hooked. Last year I bought my own gear and launched myself straight into matches (instead of just watching hubby may as well join in) and won some money at our club approx 3 times, this year I joined my first match with 'strangers' at a work organised match and came 8th out of 14 with 36lb (winning weight 102lb), not bad against 'seasoned' male anglerd. My hubby is actually younger than me but because our club has mainly older men I didn't see how fun it can be, I thought he was an exception, so thank u for convincing me its fun
If this was filmed in black and white it could pass as a lost Laurel and Hardy episode. Never change lads.
i honestly aspire tio be like u guys i am 15 and a young angler. you are both so funny and brilliant at this luxurious sport . love u both gl with life.

There is nothing wrong with £17 fishing rod and reel. I use one of them and I've landed a 12lb carp with no problem. Love you guys keep up the good work xxx
What a belter! Andy won that with a broken pole and, I'm guessing, still some of Jamie's pellets in some uncomfortable places! 😯😳😲
You'd be amazed by what you can handle on those little telescopic poles when I was 13 I managed a 17lb carp bent to the maximum
I have a cheap pole like that, it helps if you take the floppy tip of and the second to the end piece is a lot more sturdy
Next challenge. You can only use bait brought from the pet shop... meal worms crickets, locust, beetle grubs etc. Go on the pinky mice!
I have the same whip. Removed the end section external bush and elasticated the top three sections initially 12 slip now 10 slip. I've caught carp to 5lb (don't get me wrong struggle to drag them out of snags) have been using it the last 2 weeks in the Ilse of Lewis to catch escaped rainbows. Biggest 7lb for my daughter and a double figure fish for myself. Great fun but it needs elasticating. Great post.

Still want to see a just getting started challenge. Both will have £250 for everything they need. They may use garden, kitchen, camping stuff they already got.
Only pre owned fishing gear they may use is landing net( with handle) and a discorger. For fish safety.
The more I think about it the points system should be.
1 point each species
1 point smalles of a species
1 point biggest of a species.
And that will be length. As a starting fishermen will probably be able to get a measuring tape. Scales will be harder.
One fish can be potentially 3 points if only one is caught.
Reasoning is well a just getting started fishermen wants to catch fish. And different types of fish

Andy Question for you back from 16 years ago when you used to travel to Sam Holstock’s in Beverley
Slagging cheap gear off is not really a way forward people use cheap gear as they can’t afford the gear, people have budgets
When you used to fish for garbolino back in the day, I was using a £250.00 maver deliverance and used to win my fair share of matches
Many times taking the top 3 spot
But people forget about those days
Challenge accepted if you and Jamie fancy a challenge

@@thething5425 they are ok laughing about gear but they don’t have to pay for shit.. and if you draw in a match you will do good as a good angler, not the equipment you use.
I have fishing 6 Maver match this quails last session and finished 14th best. Not fish a match In 15 years
We had a bit of a shakey ending but he did it for the lads #TeamAndy
Even after he broke his pole, determination and only a small amount of luck.
