Young Gauteng firefighters undergo rigorous mentoring and training

With runaway fires often ravaging informal settlements - particularly during winter - programmes are underway to put a damper on fires.
Recently two young chilren were killed in a fire in Soweto.
In the aftermath of this devastating event, officials have issued a stern warning to the public, urging them to avoid leaving candles unattended.
However, amid the sombre atmosphere, a ray of hope emerged as a group of young fire fighters from Gauteng underwent rigorous mentoring and training.
These individuals are not only being prepared to tackle the most formidable fires but also to rescue those in distress, including patients trapped in difficult situations.
