One Outs is also a great sports anime and pretty underrated in my opinion. It's more psychological compared to other sports animes and it's very entertaining. I'd recommend it to anyone who's into sports anime.

Sports anime and manga are like the foundation for modern anime with Ashita no Joe pretty much being the first Shonen about growth which would then set up modern anime being a excellent adaptation of a manga that would pretty much inspire anime for decades in storytelling and animation.
Also the first battle Shonen is a boxing manga called Ring ni Kakero which was also inspired by Ashita no Joe, and it would set the standard for battle Shonen of the 80s which would lead to Dragon Ball and Fist of the North Star.
