Today I'm going over 12 very important (and often forgotten) questions you NEED to be asking your potential host family when doing your first Au Pair Skype interview! Skyping with potential host families is very exciting but can also be a bit overwhelming, and can sometimes cause us to forget to ask the important questions. Hopefully this video will give you an idea of some important topics you should discuss with your potential families, before making your final decision!

Hi, thanks so much for the video. I’m wondering though, how can we possibly discuss about the plane ticket to go from our home country to the AuPair family’s country??? Do they usually pay it for us or expect us to pay for ourselves or does it really depend? And about the healthcare thing, based on your explanation I conclude that health insurance should be covered by the family? Thanks in advance :)

Do I need to ask about how much allowance will they offer me?
They should mention it on their profile already but yes you can still ask them/confirm the amount in video chat
What of if all these questions are already said in their profile should I still ask?
Yes I would still ask! You could always phrase it like "I read in your profile that you're looking for someone with xyz, can you tell me more about that?"
I got a host from switzerland we haven't video call only just exchanging photos on email how sure is that ??
You should absolutely do a video call before you proceed! I wouldn’t recommend going there without seeing them on video
Can I trust her , she has already send me her passport bio page and she is requesting I do the same thing
@@annetnyokabi2073 again, I wouldn’t proceed with anything until you at least video chat with them once. Documents can easily be faked, especially when you’ve never seen the person
@k3390 they sound like a red flag, I would stay away from them and look for another family!
@k3390 if they are willing to do a video interview then that’s better, but still I would be hesitant. The fact that their profile was deleted from the Aupair website is not a good sign!
