To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from that but it did impress me a bit.
It's not strong enough or fast enough for Skatepark bashing, but it hops smoothly at that track. Right car and right location on this occasion.
That’s the exact reason we didn’t head to a skatepark for this vid lol, it is a pretty cool little truck, but we’re torn on it at the minute🤔✌🏼
@@RCunexttuesday I think that if you overpower it you might make it worse, or more fragile. You'd have to start with better tyres and go from there 🤷♂️

I’ve run 2-1/2 6200mah. batteries through this van and as much as I’d love to go brushless, I wouldn’t dare until the plastic drive line is upgraded. The dog bone cups have serious wear already and I wouldn’t trust the stock plastic center drivetrain to last long either. Unfortunately the only place with stock for most upgrades currently is e-bay. I’ve done the aluminum center shaft and spur already And that alone was $34. Also, the bearings are NOT rubber sealed so expect to replace those quickly if you run through a lot of sand or water. Otherwise it’s a fun little basher!

I can't believe all the great places, skate parks, Rc tracks, BMX tracks, you guys have to run your cars. There's pretty much no place near me to run fast cars so unless you are into crawling you're out of luck. I live on the coast of Maine and I'm surrounded by rocks and ledges so there's hundred of miles of crawling terrain but no local tracks or even RC clubs unless you're into flying. I'd be tempted to move to the U.K. just for the RC'ing and the great British ale, which I have to pay a small fortune for here, if there were more blue sky days. If you can fix that and I can figure out a way to sneak my 100 kilo Newfoundland through customs I'll be there.
We always look at it from the same perspective, thing is it takes someone with less to tell you what you’ve got. We look at the folks in the US and Oz and say exactly the same thing, but you say it about us, it’s strange because you never realise how open it all is your end👀🤷🏻♂️
@@RCunexttuesday I really envy you for the great RC community you have. When I got into Rc's back in the 80's it was quite different but people seem to have lost interest with the advent of computers, video games, and cell phones. Now that I'm retired and have the time to get back into the hobby it's difficult to find anyone with any interest.
Sorry to post again but I probably should clarify. There are some fantastic Rc communities in the U.S. They just aren't local to me. I could move to another area of the U.S. more easily than moving to the U.K. but that wouldn't solve the beer issue. I hope no one thought I was disparaging Rc'ing in the U.S. because that certainly wasn't my intent.

It’s a decent little truck, I imagine it would be crazy brushless let alone on 3/4s; I believe you can but I haven’t explicitly looked

Actually good to see you guys back out doing your thing , and it was some actually good driving from you B , I can see your definitely getting more confident in your driving abilities, also it’s going to take a few more goes for you guys to get back into the groove. I actually think that units pretty fast for a brushed unit, I do think it looked a bit quicker then my Summit , but I guess the Summit is actually a 1/8 unit so a bit bigger then that unit, but it’s no excuse as Traxxas knew how big the Summit is and should’ve gave it something more powerful, I know it’s considered a crawler but it should still have more speed then it does ! Anyway good vid guys and it’s awesome to see you rolling again !! Keep up the Great Work and Vids !! 👍✌️

top speed without quickly damaging the crown and pinion differentials? If I run it at 23 mph, will I quickly finish the mechanics?

Not really a mad van if it's a 18mph brushed stick a 2-3s system init and it might do wonders

Kyosho are just a step above Tamiya. Good to sit on the shelf for remembering the 1980s but as far as performance or durability you are better off with Banggood specials.

Broken, no but if you watch some of our more recent videos of it there is an issue with the arm popping off. Brushless ruins the novelty of the truck for us, they are releasing a brushless RTR soon though so that could be up your street👍🏼
For about the same price, would you buy this one or the "FTX Carnage 1/10 Brushless Truck 4Wd Rtr"?
Mad van all day. It’s durability is second to none in comparison to the ftx, and they’ve got a brushless version coming too so there’ll be upgrades for days✌🏼
