Hi Ali I just found you and love your realistic approach to decluttering! My husband and I have a much smaller house here in Florida than we had up north and after 8 years we had become jam-packed with STUFF! (No basements or attics to shove/hide things down here!). We’ve been on a hard core mission to declutter this week and are making great progress. I could relate to you trying to organize as you go and how you found it slows you down! Me too!!! I’ve decided is that it’s OKAY to just focus on decluttering and quick sorting for now. Once we’ve done the heavy clearing I’ll go back and take a second look, do a more permanent sort, make labels & put things on their forever places. Seeing someone else on this journey is such a big help! Thanks for all you do! 🎉

I would call this video your "Decluttering Haul" and it was so satisfying! I enjoyed how you showed each item and explained reasoning for decluttering. Just what I was looking for. It makes it "tangible" for me to see the specific item and the reasoning. I've been slowly decluttering lately. I got so much joy when you said you were donating the bat candle holder bc you were not using it and I found it adorable and I realized that you'll make someone's day when they find it. So each item will then eventually find their next person ❤️. Hoping for more videos like this "decluttering haul"? Just an idea. Just subscribed🤗

So inspiring! You look so pretty with your hair braided like that! 💜 I always struggle to just declutter without organizing at the same time. Organizing is my jam! 😀 I'm building my decluttering muscles and craving more simplicity in my home. I had surgery 12 days ago after being super sick and unable to eat solids for a month and a half. Heck of a way to lose 31 pounds! I am slowly getting some energy back and can't wait to get back on the decluttering horse soon. For now I will soak in all the motivation you're giving me. Keep those amazing videos coming - I'll be watching every single one! 😁
Oh and I turned 50 in November. I remember those cameras well 📷 🤣

I often get sidetracked with organizing and often organize the “clutter”, which never stays organized! 😂 I sure love a decluttered, clean, organized space!!
@@reallifewithali thank you! I'm feeling more like me again. I tend to not give myself time to fully heal (who has time for that??), but this time I am embracing the down time. I am one who is very goal oriented and one of my goals is to get that basement office usable (and hopefully pretty too!), so I will be replaying your office video multiple times as a body double of sorts when I finally am able to get started. It's sooo bad! I wish I could share the process - I know it could be encouraging for others in the same boat. I don't have the first clue how to do that other than sharing with my FB friends. They have told me my decluttering projects motivate them, so I just have to accept the embarrassment that comes from showing my messes 🤣

Thank you so much for sharing, one thing i learnt in my own journey is to stop buying cheap stuff, honestly it has saved me going to charity shops more than i care to admit too, but cheap stuff is exactly what it is cheap and it is a total waste of money, time and effort, it has to be stored somewhere, and dealt with its endless, i have had to learn all this the hard way i hope this will help you too, just do not buy it in the first place and safe yourself going crazy in dealing with it all.

Yay! I was able to declutter some Christmas decor before I put mine out, but we bought new stuff! So now I have to find a place for that. But I had been wanting to get new stuff for several years!
