Join Steve and Fran in this in-depth comparison between BlueStar and Viking, two prominent players in the world of kitchen appliances. BlueStar, a family-owned business based in Pennsylvania, goes head-to-head with Viking, a US-based corporation located in Ohio under Middleby Residential ownership.
    Ranges
Starting with ranges, BlueStar impresses with five series of gas ranges and a new dual fuel range, showcasing versatility with open, closed, and precious metal options. Viking, on the other hand, boasts an extensive range lineup with multiple BTU outputs and the unique Tuscany series. Despite Viking's variety, BlueStar takes the lead in sheer power and style, making it the preferred choice in this category.
    Refrigeration
Moving on to refrigeration, BlueStar stands out for its commercial-grade design, stainless steel interiors, and dual compressor system. However, the Viking fridge raises concerns due to a single DC compressor, making BlueStar the clear winner in terms of design, durability, and overall performance.
    Wall Ovens
In the wall ovens category, BlueStar introduces the French door element with various configurations, but the aesthetics fall slightly short. Viking takes the lead with a more streamlined and stylish French door design, securing the win in this category. However, both brands are encouraged to enhance their wall oven offerings to meet the evolving market expectations.
    Conclusion
While BlueStar dominates in ranges and refrigeration, Viking claims victory in wall ovens. Both brands have their strengths and areas for improvement. It's essential to consider specific needs and preferences when choosing between BlueStar and Viking for your kitchen. Keep an eye on future innovations, as these companies continue to evolve and refine their appliance offerings.

I'm genuinely confused. Why are you comparing a brand you won't even carry?

@YaleAppliance1 why did you stop carrying viking? Are there reliability concerns? Specifically with gas ranges Thank you

If anyone is buying their appliances for aesthetics over quality & performance, they shouldn't be shopping at high-end appliance stores, let them shop at places like Home Depot, Lowes, and Best Buy. Not to mention that they probably haven't done any research on them to begin with !

For people that actually care what their homes look like aesthetics are part of it. Sort of silly to argue otherwise
