I heard Steve-O say this and its so true. Unresolved trauma, depression, ADHD, OCD, mental health issues, are the cause. Addiction is the symptoms. You can get sober 20 times. But if you dont deal with the mental trauma of it all youll go back 20 times.

I’m so thankful she had the courage to go on camera and share such real experiences❤ please don’t pass judgement on her bc every situation effects everyone different, and I can relate so much to everything’s she saying bc I’ve had so many of the same thoughts and experiences, and u become numb to it all. What I connected with the most was when she said she didn’t want to stop for herself, but still felt guilty bc she knew her mom wanted her to stop and that she felt like she deserved a better daughter, bc I’m in the same situation… and it’s so much more complex than anyone who’s never been there themselves to understand. So please, please, please do not judge her bc you have different feelings abt what she’s doing. She’s a beautiful person inside and out regardless of her current situation ❤️

She seems smart. Such a shame. Getting pregnant is what got me sober, and that was 17 years ago now. Something has to be done about this drug epidemic. All these wasted lives. I hope she finds a reason to get sober.

I spent almost 20 years on H got 2 years clean now and the shit ive done seen and experienced is a living nightmare being sober is amazing im glad you guys are out here letting people tell there stories

I’m in trauma therapy and when you said that it jumped out at me… may you be gentler n kinder to yourself bb girl… rooting for you… oh (journaling? Don’t know if you’ll like it but if you want to express your pain n think ‘I don’t have the right- which you ABSOLUTELY DO!…, maybe writing your feelings might help- and no one’s there to judge!)….

Im 30 and started cutting at 12. Im still just as numb as i ever was. I havent cut for over a year. It was never for attention it was always to cut away the rage, cut away the pain, cut away the trama i guess. Self mutilation is still a mystery to even myself.
Oh and I'm not being rude or taking the mic I've been where she is and she is very brave going on camera i hope she does find recovery one day i have been in addiction for 30 plus years I've been in recovery for nearly year and it's so worth it looking and listening to her reminds me of my story so much bless her ❤

6:37 I can actually speak on this one about the self-harm being a means for escape your brain does a very funny thing when it starts to see blood that is its own it send its self (into Death Mode) lack of a better term. A bunch of chemicals like of dopamine and the morphine for example that get released at that moment and the surrounding areas just kind of disappearing
