Abbie Barnes, rock hopper, flower smeller, waterfall appreciater and I don’t know what all, I thank you. I’ll be headed to Colorado for 5 days packing in the Rocky Mountains in September to get my wild on. Cheers from Arkansas and carry on with the great stuff.

Thanks for the video, loved the footage and your energy and attitude to the place. Revisited yesterday, haven't seen Scale Force for 16 years. Loved your words about it, I felt like a massive dork stood there but glad it affects other people the same. Usually feel as spiritual as a brick but it looks like another world in there, and I know there's a way to nip up those rocks but the atmosphere of the place, it just looks better left alone you know? Like going up to the very foot of the big fall would knacker some of the mystique, or damage the place somehow. Cheers again.

A super little video. Buttermere / Crummock Water is a fantastic part of the Lake District with so many low / high level walks only a stone's throw away and of course AW's last resting place is nearby. Methinks I need to schedule in a visit - if not this year then certainly next. Did you try the ice cream from the farm in Buttermere Village…..superb!

Abbie, I found your channel accident whilst browsing CZcams for stuff on hiking. As a teenager living in Manchester back in the 1960s me and a mate regularly hiked around the Peak District with the Ramblers Association with occasional forays into the Yorkshire moors and dales and Snowdonia. During school holidays we used to wander the land camping where we could hoping the land owner wouldn't throw us off - called 'wild camping' these days it seems! Anyway, now near my 70s and in semi-retirement I'm returning to walking the hills and dales. I love your journeys, your narration, stories and snippets of information. As a psychotherapist I'm also struck by your openness and honesty about your mental health and the benefits of hiking for well-being. Keep up the good work 😀

You're right to say that that part of the Lake District is spectacularly beautiful, especially in bluebell season.
You don't mention going into Syke Farm, which you pass in the opening shot. Their home-made ice-cream is definitely to be sampled.
Another idea for a future visit is that the path over Mellbrek, starting opposite Scale Force, is a good walk, although steep at both ends of the hill.

Hi Abbie, lovely videos very inspiring. Can you please let me know where the best places to walk are without cows. I walk with my dog and have decided to avoid cows due to so many incidents with cows and walkers. I was wondering if coastal routes may have less cows or even the lake district? Thanks for info.
