As a Blackhawks fan… this is cool
Yeah the wings went and currently is in a rebuild, but man this arena being demolished I believe played a massive part in this teams demise... There was no barn like The Joe, teams absolutely hated this place in the playoffs, between the bounce on the boards, the fans, It was just such a intimidating arena to play in, even the goal horn was intimidating. The new arena will never compare to the joe, i've been there a dozen times, and it's just not the same. It almost single handedly killed hockeytown.

not really. it makes sense. the business is a Detroit based business. Stop whining or just dont go.

Sports teams and leagues cost an unimaginable amount of money to run, and since most of the money the NHL makes comes from ticket sales, these organizations have to figure out how to bring in as much revenue as possible, and one of those ways is advertising revenue. If you like the fabulous production values of modern sports broadcasts, thank the corporations that sponsor the broadcasts in exchange for publicity.
Also, it could be worse than Little Caesars Arena. Imagine if it were called Dunkin' Donuts Center. The Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League play in an arena called Dunkin' Donuts Center.
