I am pretty good at responding to comments, so if you have a question go ahead and ask!
A like goes a long way in supporting the channel - Jak na to + styl
You’re like a hidden gem... you don’t upload much.. but when you do it’s always a good time 🔥
I really appreciate that man! Love seeing these kind of comments!
Nuts of course homie ❤️
I just found this as I am about to start designing my own cases. And that keyboard is beautiful. Love the sound mate. Great work
You deserve way more attention. Not sure what you can do about it but I am very grateful for what you do. First comment I have ever made on CZcams after being on it for more than 7 years, but you deserve it. I hope to build a 1800 layout wooden keyboard some day, and will use your tips. All the best with your CZcams journey. :)
hey man, I really appreciate this comment a lot. It means a lot to me that youd take the time to leave it. also, that keyboard will be sick, hope it turns out well man! best of luck!
WOW I was NOT expecting it to sound like that. different than I expected but in the best way possible!
Great job, great case, great sound, overall a really nice one of a kind keyboard! I was searching to make my own wooden case and I found this video, and it will definitely help. Love the videos, and I think the result is AWESOME!! Hope to see more creations, and keep up the good work! Greetings from Spain :)
Thanks man! This is the reason i made these videos. Best of luck on your keyboard man!
awesome dude, love the colours
Even though the job is not the best or professionally made, but this is a proper way to get the deepest noise out of wooden case. I've seen a lot of custom wooden cases that let key caps out of the case, thus make the sound very exposed and made little to no difference from generic plastic cases. But this one, overall result is awesome!
Beautiful keyboard, great keycap choice and great sound
Good stuff homie, thats a clean build
those keys sound moist. ngl this has inspired me to make my own mech in my PDT class
looks really good!!
just came across your channel, thanks for putting this out.
That isnt what I thought that would sound like at all... But I love it. Its very bassy, earthy even. It really does sound like a wooden case, which by the way looks great! Also nice video, and a great looking keyboard!
Sounds good!
Look out for the profile of the keycaps next time when you're purchasing another set! They come in various different profiles and I believe there are budget keycaps with the right profile you want. I believe you're looking for the popular cherry/OEM profile. Looking forward to version 2 of the wood keyboard! Maybe do a full sized one next with a 96% pcb? :)
For your First Custom keyboard project it was a great work, now I want to make my own in the future but yeah I'll be on the lookout for your future projects, now the thing I want to ask is do you think the wrist rest is worth is or could be improved on and also in future videos at the end pls add a summary of your cost in making as well as the time.
Best of luck on your future builds and do post it on r/mk you deserve more recognition for your work here and could inspire others in building their own.
Thanks man! If you are talking about the attached wrist wrest on the bottom, it is a tossup, it is kind of an awkward length but i do also use a separate one and it works well. As far as cost goes, i have all the products linked in the description. It is possible to build it cheaper than i did but i think if i remember right it came out around 250ish? But yeah i have no idea on the time.
loved it. Is the angle taller than usual keyboards. is it comfortable to type on for long?
Aum Thiruvoth no its not taller of an angle however it does sit higher off the table so i use a wrist wrest usually at the end of it.
Im planning on doing a wood keyboard like you- any tips before i get everything?
so much thock, love it
I am looking to make my own case for a wood tech project at school. The only problem I have had so far while finding all the parts is that I don't know what measurement of standoffs and what heights go where. Do you have any advice from your experience?
it really just comes down to the parts you use. I got a variety pack of standoffs from amazon because i didnt know what heights. the lower height is just to keep the pcb from touching the case so that is up to your discretion, the second height is to go through the pcb and attach to the plate and for that I just tested some different heights from the pack until i found one that worked. the only advice I can give is to just set your pcb in your case and mark where to put standoffs instead of trying to measure out their locations. Secondly just get a variety pack. also standoffs arent meant to grab into wood, they are intended to be screwed into a threaded nut so it may be worth your time to embed some nuts into the wood so that the standoffs have a good grip. thats optional and mine worked without it but its not the "right" way to do it
how did you choose the wood? What kind of sounding wood do you reccomend?
i wonna make one too.
Walnut is the most common and what he used! I'm also planing on making one.
love you'r keyboard
Finalmente un verdadero video "hazlo tu mismo".

The spacebar is alright tho

Watch at my wooden case that I've bought from the ali, then I watch on yours hand-made case.
