They backed that guy into a corner, and made perfect sense. Abortion IS wrong. Plain and simple. You don't want to worry about it? Than you know what not to be doing carelessly.
Let us pray for this guy,if he's converted,i really have a sense that he could be a good evangelizer,Jesus came to call the sinners, not the righteous! I will personally pray for him as my love for his mommy, the reason why he is alive on Earth.
Great question. They dove into this later in the show, and I agreed with their answer. When the child is in the fallopian tube, for instance, this is a case where you're addressing a serious medical problem or else it may result in the death of both the mother and child. This isn't abortion. Right now, we lack the technology to transplant the baby elsewhere, the the baby would unfortunately die, but the procedure is to save any life possible.
Caller isn't very good debater. All he had to say was that he do believe that people should be treated differently depending on their age or level of development and there would be no inconsistency.
How are you supposed to explain that to an atheist? How are you supposed to explain the significance of a clump of cells if they consider it just a clump of cells? No more than dirt?
YellowBoyWonder Yes, I believe it is a clump of cells. But so is an adult human really. I mean, we are just a very, very large clump of cells. What's special about this clump of cells, as opposed to say a clump of fungus cells, is that these are a clump of human cells, containing the full genetic material necessary to code for a human, in every stage of development. It is a human at its earliest stage of development. These cells will continue to divide and differentiate throughout its life. It is living, and of the human species (ie human parents and DNA), therefore its is a living human being, with human rights. And one of the most important (I believe it is the single most important) human rights is, of course, the right to life. Therefore the killing/dismemberment/abortion of this innocent, defenseless and voiceless human at its earliest stages of development is, to me, unjustifiable. Rant over.
Gerald Boulin Every human life should be treated equally. If it is wrong to kill a teenager or wrong to kill a mother or wrong to kill a newborn, it should also be wrong to kill human at any other stage of its development; that includes the fetus. The complexity or size of a certain human should NOT determine whether or not it possesses a right to life. Being a living human should (ie. living human with human DNA and parents).
what if the woman is raped, and she has NOT chosen to have sex? she has been so violated in a way no man can be, or empathize with no matter how great his love for womankind, can she take a morning after pill?

trent is so smart I don't think I can even ask him a question without walking away speechless
Love how calm these guys are with this caller.

Logical answer, consistent with the truth

Thank you, this really helped.
This was very good!
WELL DONE BOYZ:) LOVE THE WAY YOU HANDLED THE CALL FROM A MISGUIDED GENTLEMAN.. IF ONLY THEY SEE IT FROM THE A CATHOLIC SIDE OF VIEW..

EXCELLENT VIDEO.
What would one do in the case of an ectopic pregnancy? I dont believe in abortion I just want to know, I know someone who went through this

Or is it just a clump of cells? I believe that a clump of cells will inevitably become a child through fulfilling basic human needs. Am I wrong?

That doesn't seem like a fair comparison.
reductio-ad-absurdum
