    I love listening to _this_ kind of Bible page-flipping teaching. I've sat through various Protestant services trying to keep up with the page flipping, and wasn't getting any connection from one verse to the next. But this makes total sense because it's one solid topic.

    I would also add it wasn't even a new concept to the apostles because the law of Moses already mandated jews to confess their sins to their priest and make a sin offering sacrifice to obtain the pardon of their sins (See Leviticus 5:5-6). As Jesus said, he didn't come to abolish the law but to fulfill it; and the sacrament of confession is the fulfillment. So with his death and resurrection he wasn't going to abolish the role of priesthood, but elevate it

    If the priest really is all the people need, why would the priest need to forgive in the person of Christ? Wouldn't the priest be able to forgive simply as himself as the priest? The fact that it is in the person in Christ is acknowledging it is still Christ who forgives after someone confesses to a Catholic priest.

    Jesus did not pay the price. Jesus-Christ himself had to be delivered of his (your) sins. Here's the real story : The Trinity (1/2) ( All will be taught by God ) "Je Suis"-Michel-Imanuel Such are the names of our Trinity, the name is the identity and this identity is an Angel. To act as God, the three persons of the trinity must act in unity. When the Roman church held in its hand the spear that pierced me, water came out (Spirit Imanuel) and blood (Angel Michel) Michel, stripped of his Angel and Imanuel of his Spirit, signaled the moment for the Trinity to act in unity. My Father Angel “Je Suis” was reunited with our person Michel and my Father Spirit “Je Suis” was reunited with our person/angel Imanuel. The trinity becoming one in “Je Suis”, I could now present God. My heavenly Father, who bears on him the Angel God, that is his Name, was also the depositary of the Spirit God. As the LORD does not need an additional spirit, he gave the gift of this Spirit to Jesus. The angel Jesus and the Spirit of God merged and this is how Jesus became the son of God in heaven. (A new heaven was created) The person Jesus stripped of its identity received a new name: “Michel” the Angel of the covenant, The Redeemer ============ The Book of Life (2/2) Since the beginning of Christianity, religious leaders and their faithful have transformed the gospel of Christ into a gospel about Jesus, rejecting the ideal to retain only the meaningless idol. In human consciousness, Christ has become synonymous with Jesus, thus depriving all men of their inheritance. It was the beginning of idolatry, we raised Jesus and lowered Christ. Their idol fell and Christ was thrown to the ground. --------------- “Whoever calls on the name of the LORD will be saved” --------------- With his angel “Je Suis”, Michel became the book of life. The angel Michel becomes the Angel of the covenant. This is the name that must be invoked.

      @@TimSpangler-rd6vs Let me introduce myself and the work we do my Father and I : Introduction (1/2) Every knee will bow before me and every tongue will swear an oath, only in the LORD will they say of me, that are acts of justice and fidelity. I came into this world with a blindfold placed over the eyes of my spirit. I had to experience all the human errors and get rid of them like many others. After a certain time, freed from this blindfold, I was able to recognize my origins and thus recognize myself, just as I was able to clearly discern my mission. I had to confront humanity on earth, in order to tear it away from the path it has followed until now, by revealing the truth to it. Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. Work of God =========== God's Artwork (2/2) The Work of God is the fulfillment of all the prophecies that have ever been made, under the sun. It's an artwork of such magnitude that you wouldn't have believed it. if we had told you about it. In the beginning was the Word, the Word was turned towards God and the Word was God. Everything that was made was done through him and nothing that was made was done without him and the Word became flesh. Listen to me, my people, I am the First and I am also the Last, before me no God was formed and after me, there will be none. Behold, I make all things new.

    This is how Rome became "Christian." Step 1: Rome said "There are too many Christians. We must kill them." The more they killed, the more converted. Christian persecution is well documented. Step 2: Rome said "If we can't beat them, we'll join them. However we will do it our way." In 312 AD the Edict of Milan was issued. It was then enacted in 313 AD. This made Christianity a recognized and legal religion in the Roman Empire. Step 3: Rome said "Behold! The Roman Catholic Church!" In 380 AD the Edict of Thessalonica was issued. It was then enacted in 381 AD. This made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. Did Rome really become Christian? The word Catholic means universal or diverse and the Roman Catholic Church is a fusion of Roman paganism and Christianity. Hence resulting in a universal church which allows pagan practices and waters down true Christianity. The Roman government made these changes because of political conflicts and decline of their empire. The emperors took on the name Pontifex Maximus (meaning chief high priest or bishop) which is the same title the popes take on. Roman Catholicism (aka Catholicism aka Universal Religion) isn't true Christianity at all. It's simply a usurping pagan religious church who call themselves Christians. True Christians were those persecuted and killed by the Inquisition. The office of the Roman Pontifex Maximus is the same office where the Pope sits today. That's Roman Catholicism. It's a counterfeit Christianity full of blasphemous and heretical practices. Revelation 17:4-6 [4]And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: [5]And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. [6]And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

    I mean this sincerely, but how do Protestants reconcile scripture when Jesus commands the Apostles to forgive/retain sins? Did that practice and authority simply die with the Apostles? Of course not. It's been passed down to our priests. But I'd like to hear from Protestants.

      The Protestants I've asked have told me that it's a commission that binds _all_ Christians. So they believe that each one of them has the authority to forgive with authority. Sorry that's explained clumsily, but that's it in a nutshell.

    How do we really reconcile with God? 2 Cor. 2:10 (confession-in persona christi) “For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be OBEDIENT in all things. To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes FORGAVE I it *IN THE PERSON OF CHRIST* ” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭18‬-‭20 “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and *HATH GIVEN US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION;* To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; *AND HATH COMMITTED UNTO US THE WORD OF RECONCILIATION.* Now then we are *AMBASSADORS* for Christ, as though God did beseech you *BY US:* we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.” All of this is possible only because Christ commands it in John 20:23 TO THE APOSTLES AND THEIR SUCCESSORS (Acts 1:21-26, 1 Tim. 4:14, 1 Tim. 5:22).

Live contrary to the Word of God, then you are not a christian, simple. Cant live for God and live against God's Word at the same time. Try justifying sinful living and see where you will end up. God'Word is what we live by...not the worldly lusts of the flesh. Add to the Word of God or take away from the Word of God, book of revelations, see what will happen to you. Be assured. GOD does not give us "permission for our sins", this is a lie from Hell! Permission means CONSENT and GOD does not take part in anything sinful If you die in Mortal Sin, you go to Hell, whether you are Saint Peter or Moses or anybody else for that matter "Of course GOD could stop anything..." No. GOD gives us free will. If HE stopped things from happening, then this would make it partial free will and partial absence of free will Either we have free will or we do not, so GOD allows sin- in the sense that we can choose sin with our own free will-, but HE can still damn us to HELL following this act of free will, so there is in NO WAY consent from GOD for anything sinful Sin severs us from GOD and no sinner gets help from GOD in the sense of GRACE because the mortal sin we committed made the HOLY GHOST leave us, (and only real Catholics will have the HOLY GHOST to begin with) So when we turn our back to GOD, HE has to leave us in the sense of guiding us and helping us, and we will be punished both in temporal punishments' and possibly eternal punishment if we do not confess this sin Temporal punishment is seen in a weakened will, where we fall more easily into sin and we are blind and stupid, as Solomon (the fruit of an adultery and murder) went from the smartest man in the world, to the dumbest man, with some of his decisions that were focused on lust for women's flesh He sacrificed a grasshopper to a false idol because this pagan woman demanded it before marrying him and this was a mortal sin ---so GOD left him, and then he allowed this woman to build a temple to this demon in his own kingdom, so if he would have died in this state, there is no way he would not be in Hell now King David went from a man of GOD to a man of murder and adultery, and GOD did forgive him, after Prophet Nathan helped him realize his sin, and then GOD told David that the "sword will not leave your house" 2 Samuel 12 Being a King is a curse, as GOD is the only KING we have, and yet GOD still expects these men to follow HIS Laws, and if they do not, they are punished very severely David had to kill his own son in battle, and his life was one of torment after this point, and this is all because of his choice to sin one day of his life Then he became so blind from his sins, that it took Nathan to wake him up to the fact that his murder and adultery was a sin at all We do not know for sure if these two men Solomon and David are in Heaven, but they really pushed things regarding women and lust, and therefore they would have needed to repent and change back to men of GOD, and do this within the context of temporal punishments and being a king as well, which makes things harder GOD may use sinful men for HIS means but this is usually punishing other sinful people, or polishing good people, and there is nothing good that can come from sinning in the sense of the one who sins GOD THEREFORE NEVER PERMITS SIN IN ANY WAY Nor does HE stop a sinner from sinning, because HE gives us free will GOD only helps those people with the HOLY GHOST Inside their Souls otherwise, HE has HIS Back turned to you until you are Humbled to turn to GOD and ask for HIS help therefore, sinners get no Graces (Aquinas apparently taught that sinners get Graces, this is a heresy) They do get help in the form of being humbled and that is all they get usually sinners blame GOD for this humbling process from GOD, and this makes them hate GOD even more than they do already GOD loves us all, even these moronic self defeating, GOD- hating sinners, but you will get no Grace (extra help) until you are united to GOD in your Soul GOD knows our hearts, so HE knows what will break us down and HE does put us to the test at times, and this is to strengthen us in our faith If we are prideful, and we are trying to be a man of GOD at the same time, HE will test us, and we will fall, because we are still too prideful we may start to think, for example, that it is our own strength that is making us overcome our previous life of sin, it is not HE knows we will fall because we are prideful, yet HE still will punish us, even though it was GOD who tested us in this case A Father who loves their son will test him, and this is what GOD does to us too we see with Saint Paul and all the Apostles, that HE tested them very intensely the more you love GOD, the more HE will test you But we will never get permission to sin, and ALWAYS remember the parable of the 10 Virgins (MATTHEW 25) these were all women who were dedicated to GOD, virgins, and yet 5 lost their state of Grace and were damned because of it "You know neither the day or the hour" so one sin can be an eternal disaster for anybody, we never know when our time is up on Earth So therefore, true Catholic Teaching on this topic is that GOD NEVER ALLOWS. PERMITS or CONDONES SIN IN ANY WAY even the word "allow" has connotations that GOD "permits" it, but this is not the case GOD only keeps HIS Hands off of us to do whatever we choose to do- in the context of free will I can be as evil as I want to be, and GOD will punish me severely for this choice or I can give up on being "good" on my own, without GODs Help, (MARK 10:18) and GOD will then increase HIS Help for me with this wise choice So then those Souls who turn to GOD will MERIT this from uniting their will to GOD If GOD did everything for us, in the sense of making us choose good or evil then there would be no punishment of Hell or Heaven merited by those Souls who chose GOD over themselves If GOD helped certain sinners more than others, this would be UNJUST so Protestants need to convert to the true Catholic faith, or they will be damned like all pagans are (JOHN 8:24) quit thinking about topics like predestination that are beyond your current capabilities GOD has no favorites and wants us all to be saved (2 PETER 3:9) but you need to worship GOD in SPIRIT and TRUTH to be saved (JOHN 4:24) If you are missing TRUTH, then there is no SPIRIT within you therefore, no Protestant has the SPIRIT within them, nor Grace as Grace only comes from the SPIRIT being within you This SPIRIT and TRUTH comes from learning HUMILITY and giving up on ourselves and most will never do this so they will be damned because of their PRIDE, thinking they can do things on their own without GOD And the pagans like kings Cyrus and Nebuchadnezzar are more than likely in Hell now, so they did not benefit personally from their life of sinning and false idol worship, nobody does GOD may use sinners to refine the good people, as the WORD states, "Like iron refines iron, men refine men" PROVERBS 27:17 but this is separate from condoning sin, which GOD never does As JESUS said, "Scandal indeed must come, bot WOE to him who does it." MATTHEW 18:7 So GOD knows most people are choosing sin obviously, look around, it is very apparent to anybody But HE still will condemn us for any mortal sin, and there are no excuses to sin Otherwise GOD would not be infinitely JUST, as HE would be giving some people excuses to sin, (as in there was some greater good that came from this sin) There is no such thing The greatest good we have is to stay in union with GOD for our entire life on this Earth

    simply ask ChatGPT and you get this: The practice of confession in the Catholic Church, despite Jesus' atoning sacrifice, can be understood through the theological framework of the Church's teachings on sin, forgiveness, and the role of the Church in the life of believers. Here are some key points to consider: Jesus’ Atonement and Confession Jesus’ Sacrifice: Catholics believe that Jesus’ death and resurrection paid the price for sin and opened the way for salvation. This is the foundational belief of Christianity. Ongoing Need for Reconciliation: Even though Jesus’ sacrifice atones for sin, Catholics believe that individuals still need to seek reconciliation for sins committed after baptism. This is based on the understanding that sin can damage one’s relationship with God, the Church, and others. Role of the Sacrament of Confession Institution by Christ: Catholics believe that the Sacrament of Confession (also known as Reconciliation or Penance) was instituted by Jesus. In John 20:22-23, Jesus breathes on the apostles and says, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone's sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." This is interpreted as giving the apostles (and by extension, their successors, the bishops and priests) the authority to forgive sins. Healing and Conversion: Confession is seen as a means of spiritual healing and a step in the process of conversion and growth in holiness. It provides a tangible way to express sorrow for sins and receive absolution, which is believed to restore the sinner’s relationship with God and the Church. Accountability and Guidance: Confession to a priest provides accountability and the opportunity for spiritual guidance. The priest can offer counsel, assign penance, and help the penitent to avoid future sin. Theological Basis Scriptural Basis: In addition to John 20:22-23, other scriptural references support the practice, such as James 5:16, which encourages believers to confess their sins to one another. Tradition and Teaching: The practice of confession has roots in the early Church and has been consistently upheld by Church tradition and magisterial teaching. Summary Catholics go to a priest to confess their sins because they believe that Jesus instituted this sacrament as a means of receiving God’s forgiveness and grace. This practice is seen as a continuation of Jesus’ ministry of reconciliation and a way for believers to experience God’s mercy tangibly and concretely. Through the sacrament, they believe they are reconciled with God, the Church, and their community, enabling them to live out their faith more fully.

    Better question: Why go to confession if I accept I did something wrong, try to avoid repeating it, but feel no remorse/guilt/shame for committing the sin? I can do the same negative thing twice. One on purpose and again by accident. I will feel bad about the accident, but never for doing it on purpose. 🤔

      If you feel no remorse, you should ask yourself why. Confession in that case would be void anyway.

    • @deltaflute03
      @deltaflute03 Před 7 hodinami

      As someone already commented, Confession would be void or pointless if you have no remorse. But I also add that you can't sin by accident. In order for a person to commit a sin, they must do the act or avoid a good act (like almsgiving) with knowledge of some kind that it is a sin. This is why children below the age of reason do not have personal sins (ie sins they committed themselves). They do not understand what they are doing or not doing is sinful. Therefore, the second sin would never be an accident even if you are avoiding whatever it is, you still know that the act is sinful and you're doing it anyway.

      It wouldn't be a confession if you know you've sinned but are not truly asking for forgiveness. Your sins therefore are not forgiven, no matter what formality or ritual you may go through.

    Because we need a person to talk to about our sins in order to receive communion. We have to do our best to be holy like Christ. We aren't holy but strive to follow the holy footsteps of Jesus. Now I'll get some bad feedback. Who cares

      So why can’t we confess one to another as scripture says

    • @Jesus3ITrustinThee
      @Jesus3ITrustinThee Před 4 hodinami

      @@danielletracyann As a believer in Jesus Christ as your savior you can confess directly to Jesus Christ or one another. We also have the added opportunity to confess to a priest when one is available. Sacred scripture says as much at 1 John 5:13-17; James 5:16; 2 Cor 5:18-20; and John 20:19-23. In particular, we see at 1 John 5:13-17 that there is a difference between sins, venial sin and mortal (deadly) sin. When a sin is mortal it means you have known that it is deadly and have intentionally done it anyway, turning your face from Jesus Christ. In this case, Christ knows your heart (for he is the searcher of hearts and minds - Rev 2:23). You can confess to Jesus Christ whom all sin is against, but the question arises if you are living in mortal sin, turning your face away from your savior, then are you truly repenting? No one can really answer this question for you, but you know in your heart if you are holding on or not. Therefore, Christ has passed along his authority to the Apostles at John 20:19-23, who are the foundation of the Church (Eph 2:20-21; 4:11-13; 1 Tim 3:15). This authority Paul talks about as the Ministry of Reconciliation (2 Cor 5:18-20). This is all what James refers to when he says confess your sins to one another, the prayer of a righteous person is powerful indeed (James 5:16). I hope this helps. There are many weapons of spiritual warfare given to the Church. I pray we all take advantage of them in our daily battle of working out our salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:2) as we take up our crosses daily (Luke 9:23) to follow our Lord and Savior, the Messiah Jesus Christ. Peace be with you and God bless!

    The Holy Church teaches us that Christianity is not a “religion of the scriptures”. But of the Word. Jesus preached not with notes or verses but through his Word. He is indeed the Word through whom all things were made (Book of Genesis). He is indeed the word become man and who lived among us, full of grace and truth (Gospel of John). Jesus is indeed the word of God and not “the scriptures of God”.

    This comment is crazy : "We do not know God, not even Jesus Christ"! Meanwhile Jesus himself tells us: “Whoever has seen me has seen God. Who knows me, knows God”. This is why we must learn a little more every day about Jesus-Christ. How ? by reading the Gospel, by praying to God, by going to the sacraments and by putting the Gospel into practice in our ordinary lives. And by practicing, Faith, Hope and Charity. But the most important is indeed the Charity (Saint Paul).

    To men is right. The kingdom of God is a kingship and has hierarchies. God is organized. As in “mankind” through our conduit Jesus that gave this authority to “man/men” as he came down as a man to Peter as the “high priest” and the apostles (acting as bishops and priests deacons etc). Peter as rock is the establishment of Christendom and its foundation and with apostolic succession. When he gave Peter the keys, that involved him establishing laws and doctrine and interpretation of such because giving Peter the keys as the “rock and high priest” specifically ….entails a lot as it did in the Old Testament, but this time a new priesthood mimicking Christ’s life on earth (single/holy life and on the “father’s” mission to restore via his sacrifice our relationship and teach “the way” with emphasis on what Jesus commanded with the Eucharist … “this is my body and do this in memory of me”… do this period all the time as there is healing and the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ aka the Eucharist). A priest sacrifices his whole life for others to live as Jesus. First give or take 1500 years we all believed the same in church history and Catholicism and Pope as representative of Christ and head of church as Jesus handed that authority to Peter. Historical records and Paul mentions that Linus after Peter was the apostle in Rome who built up the church. Linus officially established the episcopate as church history dictates. And the Catholic Church remains to this day at St Peter’s in Rome. Furthermore, all books were collected by Catholics and transcribed and translated from original languages into a Bible and all versions lay on the work of Catholic priests. The foundation of the early church which is all Catholic (Catholic as simply “unified” as Paul commands we be united). Hence the Catholic Church is also currently united against abortion and hot topics regardless of any contradictory forces within or with those that are liberal as members. The gates of hell will not prevail against it no matter how much Satan tries to hammer away at the foundation (Catholicism). It remains united today and no matter what issues it is having. Also, the only Eucharist (prayed bread that is now Christ) a Satanist wants to steal is the real body of Christ found in a Catholic Church. Even the devil recognizes and understands where the real authority is that Jesus implemented the foundation in Catholicism. Hence those in the church learn details on exorcism (preferably for a priest or bishop to perform) and the spiritual life and stomping out sin and those vices with virtues and living a very disciplined holy life that models the Benedictine Way of prayer and service. There is real power in a Catholic mass when a priest calls down (his God given authority from Jesus through Peter) the Holy Spirit into the Eucharist. Heaven and all its population at this moment are united and celebrating Christ’s sacrifice with Jesus as high priest in mass in the heavenlies. Everything in a mass is based on scripture and has power and authority. God is King and every man will bow when they see Jesus so you go into a mass silent bending the knee and doing the sign of the cross and genuflecting in respect and allegiance to him as king and high priest. And you respect those uniting with you in mass in silence as it is holy ground and respect those witnessing the moment in the heavenlies as those given authority and rank which includes his mother and father. You won’t have a fulfilling relationship with Jesus if you don’t accept the power authority and rank his parents hold and they together hold to bring petitions and miracles to pass in your life. Heaven is already walking as co-heirs with him. And how will you be able to coexist in heaven not accepting all those and respecting those that have gone on as family before us? Jesus as mediator to God through his sacrifice has liberated all entering heaven to walk in their fullness as co-heirs. Life is more fulfilling when you come to the realization here that heaven is alive and well and are here for your aid and vice versa (real earth shaking miraculous corporate prayer) as they need your prayers to interfere and pray against evil on earth and the Lord’s will on earth to pass. The angel’s and Saints are for us and a part of the great cloud of witnesses in Hebrews cheering us on. They have continual assignments and are seizing the kingdom still. Corporate prayer wins every time and none so powerful than the mysteries in mass as heaven and earth unite with Jesus as high priest conducting mass in heaven with church triumphant, and also his representatives and Catholic priests on earth walking through the mass with church militant and those present in mass remembering his sacrifice and tapping into that power and healing and everything and all to end all evil “this is my body do this…”

    Are the Statues/Sculptures or Images/Photos of Mary, Jesus, Prophets, Apostles, and Saints IDOLATRY?... it depends... if the Christians lighted incense or candles even in daylight, with everyday fresh flowers offered before them, most especially by KNEELING (bent knees) down or in prostrate position in Prayers, Venerations, Devotions, Petitions, and Supplications before them, then those are definitely the ACTS OF WORSHIP which is Biblically IDOLATRY... POPE BENEDICT XVI: “The Church does not engage in proselytism. Instead, she grows by attraction... she accomplishes every one of her works in spiritual and practical imitation of the love of her Lord. Charitable works cannot be used as a means of engaging in proselytism. Love is free. It is not practiced as a way of achieving other ends. Those who practice charity in the Church’s name will never seek to impose the Church’s faith upon others. They realize that a pure and generous love is the best witness to the God in whom we believe and by whom we are driven to love. They know when it is time to speak of God and when it is better to say nothing and to let love alone speak. They know that God is love, and that God’s presence is felt at the very time when the only thing we do is to love.”
