'My Job Is to Spread God's Love': Actor Carlos PenaVega Found Christ After Hitting 'Rock Bottom'

- Actor and singer Carlos PenaVega isn't just an entertainer. He's also a husband, dad, and believer who regularly shares his Christian faith with audiences. The Big Time Rush star, who recently released both kids' book "Ocean's World: An Island Tale of Discovery and Adventure" and the memoir "What If Love Is the Point?: Living for Jesus in a Self-Consumed World" alongside wife Alexa PenaVega, told CBN's Faithwire how he came to faith. "I grew up Catholic. I did like the whole first communion ... all that stuff, but it never meant anything," he said. "It was just a box." PenaVega continued, "I knew of God, but I didn't have a relationship." The actor recalled dating a Christian in college and sometimes going to her church, but even then, he felt he was checking faith boxes and "moving on." "It wasn't until I really hit rock bottom ... I was smoking a lot of weed," PenaVega said. "I was drinking and I was sleeping around." Watch PenaVega share how he came to Christ.

I was contemplating going to their tour 😂 I decided not to go but I love their music & them, they always seemed like such a genuine group! Glad to hear that Christ revealed himself to Carlos 💗 I love it ! He even took his kids on tour in a separate family tour bus! A real family man trying to lead his family.

Yep. There is no such as celebrities. There are people. Those are all just titles. I think Paul mentioned somewhere that ppl were appeasing to some. I would greatly appreciate it if you would correct me in this and lead to to the right passage, as I have forgotten. God bless you all.
Although, he isn’t preach repenting from sin and hell and sin… and his profile doesn’t make it seem like he is for the Lord, do keep in mind that the same way you judge it will be measure to you, too. This is a reminder for me as much as it is for you and anyone who comes across this message. Also, as Paul told us there are many roles and gift/ ministries God gives us all. Some are called to be apostles, some evangelists, some teachers,etc. Do not base his walk with Christ solely on the appearance (1 Samuel 16:7). Do not be so hypocritical as to think like this. Test his fruit to see whether or not he is indeed a true convert ( Matthew 7:20 + Galatians 5:19-26 + 1 John 4:1-6). Also, let us first take the speck out of our own eyes before taking it out of others. This is something I too need to work on. Let us strive to work on this together. Let us pray for him, that he is truly saved.
That whatever role/ gift God have him, he might exercises and take dominion over the earth and tremble on the kingdom of darkness. Let us not be so focused on the kingdom of darkness that we forget God’s kingdom, the kingdom of righteousness. Not just for him, but for me and us all. Also, you said he isn’t preaching. He could just be doing it personally and not online. I personally haven’t preached like that online because I struggle with insecurities about my voice and such.
