    When you think about getting rich from coding, what comes to mind? Creating the next big start-up idea? Building a mobile app? Running a freelance business? These are all ways one could possibly get rich from coding, however, the probability that any random developer makes millions of dollars in their life from one of these endeavors is slim. Matter of fact, the way the average programmer can get rich with programming is much more simple.

    I started in tech about 10 years ago making $12.75/hour at my first IT job and about a year ago I joined a big tech company and started making roughly $350-400k depending on how my company's stocks do. Prior to working in tech I was a college flunk out who worked in fast food making minimum wage and didn't know anything about coding. I'm average at math and didn't learn to code until I was about 28. I think it's important to realize there's a lot of different paths to getting to big tech and it's only unachievable for those that don't try. I know plenty of people smarter than me who I've met throughout my career who still make $150k~ because they refuse to even apply to these places because they're "not ready" or believe they're not "good enough". Don't limit yourself!

I adopt a better get as much fundamentals good as possible in any order and go for stability, the long run game. Then when one have also many more things of the equation one have all the fundamentals as well not just money and fame. Since I am 15 and I like coding, I believe I will make it because I usually say to most people "If you lose weight, you can do anything" because the amount of people who go on "weight loss", only less than 1% succeed. I succeeded. As my favourite bald man's brother said, "You are 17, cut out videogames, cut out sleep...", I cut out everything from my life.
    After the national exams I have, I will go fully monk mode. When I say I will do something at "x" time, I mean it, I have done it before.
    I have to pass the exams with good grades and enter a high-school of my moms liking because my family's happiness is more important than mine, as long as my mom is happy, I can 100% continue coding.
    When it comes to the financial aspect of life, I have to say, firstly, I have to focus on the coding aspect first. Secondly, I am just 15 at the moment, I do not have money YET.

    May I ask you a piece of advice regarding the specs of my first laptop now that I'm starting my journey to become a coder? I will start with the basics and then moving to Python, hopefully towards the realm of machine learning; is a laptop with a Ryzen 5 5625u six core with 16gb ram enough? Or should I start with at least 8 cores? And do I need a graphic card?

    • @rogeliopalomo8253
      @rogeliopalomo8253 Před rokem

      Ryzen 5 with 16gb is absolutely great for coding or programming especially Python. Even if you use this for game development, it is also sufficient enough. You do need a graphic card with at least 4gb and up of its own memory. Don't get a computer that has a built in graphic card otherwise it will hug your main memory and that will slow down your computer or laptop.

    The chances of getting rich aren't slim with coders. Simply create something that's autonomous while not working under a company. If you're going the employment/career direction then consider yourself an employee and not be considered "rich" as your income depends on employment; rather living comfortably under stress. [To me, that's not rich]. Investing into stocks, and waiting 10yrs for $1mill isn't "rich" either as a million dollars doesn't mean you're rich while if you have no assets/passive income freeing you from the employment need. Rich is generating high monthly passive income without you doing any work. Meaning, you create something (An AI Trading Algo)(Cough), and own liquid assets (land plots) (cough) (Obtain Real Estate License) and have it generate you around $30k - $90k per month, hence you're not working for anyone, nor have a need to depend on any employer/company for income.

    some points of the video:
    1. invest your rest money, you can easily get an average return from the stock market(if you don't believe it, you can read the book named "The intelligent investor")
    2. Don't raise your consumption level when your income increases, then you can invest more money,
    3. Poor people buy debt, rich people buy assets. Your rest money should be invested assets instead of spending it on the enjoyable consumption such as buy a car, living in a 5 star hotel to have a holiday (you can read these simple principles in the book "Rich dad, poor dad: what the rich teach their kids about money-that the poor and middle class do not!")
    4. improve your coding levels

    YOU shouldn't invest in stocks, crypto, index funds, etc unless you can drop in a few million dollars at once. This is because you are putting money into a market that you have no control over which is DEATH by a thousand cuts. Instead, go invest in things that give an instant ROI (Return On Investment), such as books, courses, mentors, coaches, etc etc etc. Besides that, the average return from an index fund is around 7% (Doesn't include inflation) which means that you have to wait 40-50 years to get some profit (Talking about wasting time).
    PS - I learned this from millionaire entrepreneurs themselves.
