  • This video shows our new robot which we optimized and upgraded to compete in the WRO competition held during WRC 2017 in Beijing. The video shows a clean 430 point run (maximum score) in a worst case scenario within 1 min 50 sec (110 seconds). We finally managed to grab two solar panels at once :-)
Special thanks to our sponsors which support us to make our participation in Beijing possible !!!

Hi, in the first task of the robot (collecting cubes)...are you using any sensor or something like that to keep robot straight to cubes position without move any of them by losing straightness?

The sideway grabber is quite stable (because of the worm gear)... which means we're slightly steering towards the wall and the grabber ensures that we keep the appropriate distance. This part needs some testing and fine tuning... steering to hard won't work and not steering at all might mean that the robot looses connection to the wall...

Oh now is clear! I hadn't seen that you were using the wall like a reference to keep robot straightness! One more question: Did you use PID for line tracking?
