  • Pendulum painting is so much fun! These are so cool to watch form! Have you tried the pendulum technique yet? A simple hook in the ceiling(attach to framing) and some string or fishing line, a hole in a cup or bucket and let the magic happen! I still use my same ratio for pour Painting, for the red solo cup size about a 1/8in to 3/16in hole in the bottom pours out nicely, may take some practice to dial in but no too hard at all. Definitely a ton of fun to experiment with! All my mixtures are the same at roughly 1/3-1/4 paint to floetrol ratio. I use liquitex basic acrylic paint. I use floetrol as my pouring medium. Most all my colors are custom mixed.

    Love it!! I have wondered how a layered cup would look. Not what I thought. Can’t wait to see them dry!! Ohhhh, this would be cool to do over another pour. A dry one. Hmmm 🤔 wheels are turning.

    Again, you surprise us. That was sooo cool. I've seen pendulum poors before, but most have this big set up in their garage or studio. Did you just hang the string from the ceiling? And you paint constantly seems spot on. Well done.

      Thank you! Yes fishing line from the ceiling 👍, same ratio as my other pours as well 👍

    I was surprised how the colors from the layered cup turned out. Great job on both of them. They turned out fabulous. How big is the hole in the cup??

    Did the paint mix it self while the oscillation occurs right?
    So to get separate colors on the canvas we must do one color stop the pendulum then maybe change the cup ad the new color and so on…..?
    This is if we want color separation on the canvas or canvases right?

    I throughly enjoyed watching your scaled down pendulum pour. These remind me of the things I’d draw using a Spirograph as a kid. What size canvases did you use? 10x20 inch?

    Did u paint the canvas first with white and let it dry so ur black lines wouldn’t bleed ?

    Ive tried this a couple times... and failed. lol
    You and Callen Schaub make it look so easy, but the 'science' of getting the paint consistency and the hole the right size makes my brain hurt.... what is your secret?

    • @Nomadcreations
      @Nomadcreations Před 2 lety +2

      Roger: Diff Paints & even Brands have Diff Consistancy, Trial and error (T&E) learning is expensive, buy gallons of paint thru walmart & Simply T&E On Scrap Pieces of old Plywood or House/Closet doors . Plus Diff people have diff Earth Life Polarities/Destinies so that some things are easy for some & harder For others of Which I'm In the Latter catagory after years of self Research & Good mediums Just telling Me = Concept far Fetched but almost 50 yrs of experience to prove them right. Keep trying & rermember No such thing as a Mistake merely a different out-come design Than Planned. Keep On "Keepin On "

      No secret my mixture is the same for all my paintings, the hole is usually around 3/16 inch 👍😎
