Just finished! This is my first proper crochet item I have made for myself and I love it!! I had my doubts with the twist but the tutorial was so helpful!! Thank you 🥰
so glad you found it helpful!!
This is like a really easy project, I been working for like 2 days (w breaks bc I don't crochet often) but this works up super fast, ty!💜
MINE TURNED OUT SO CUTE IM IN LOVE OMG! first top i ever crocheted THANK YOU FOR THIS TUTORIAL!! 💕💕
Just finished making this top, I went with dc as I wanted thicker stripes and I love it!! The video/Pattern is super easy to follow!
yayy I’m so glad it was helpful!
is it see-through with double crochet? I'd looove to do double crochets but i dont want to have to wear anything underneath
@riley hawkins I find its a little more see through with dc l, but if you wore a similar coloured bra it should be fine :)
@@rileyhawkins6233 I'd say do sc for the top part and DC for the bottom
@@rileyhawkins6233 yeah it’s a little see through with dc but I sewed some bra cups into mine so I won’t have to wear anything under
I'm giving this a try! Love it! Little helpful hint: if you work through the "back bump" of the chain, you'll get a cleaner looking finish on the bottom edge 👍❤
i just finished mine!! its super cute and tutorial was so easy to follow, thank you 💕
thank you so much! i just finished the shirt, and it’s not perfect but i’m so glad i took the time to do it! it took me like 3-4 days, bc i am a beginner 😭😭
just finished making thissssss its so cute i love it, tysm u explained it so clearly
aww yay! thanks for watching
just finished !! the pattern is so easy, tysm for this tutorial, kisses from brasil 💗💗
I love that you explained this so clearly!! I just finished it today and it is one of my favorite pieces ever. Will definitely be making more tops like this.🩷
what a cute dorm !! love the top, will def try making it 💘💘💘
this tutorial was so easy to follow!! took me 3 days because this was my first attempt at a crochet top but it turned out so cute. thank you for this
I MADE THE TOPPPPP I LOVEEE ITTT,,THANKS TO YOUUU MWAAA
omg ive been looking for this specific top and i couldnt find it anywhere! love this!
So glad! let me know if you have any questions!
If you do two rows of the same color you won’t get that inside outside look! :)
ooo yes great point!!!
I’m working on it that way and it looks cleaner not having to cut the ends of every color!
@@gabby2.082the way she did it you didn’t have to cut the ends lol
@@sourmilkies Wdym? She cut it and worked in the lose ends. I think the other person means, not cutting them at all, bc you start with the new color everytime on one side. So you can leave the yarn attached and just pull it up when you start with it
Do you mean 2 rows of the same color through the whole thing?
It looks very beautiful! I'm excited to make one for myself 🤭🎀💖💖
thanks for watching!!
thannk u for the tutorial, you made it so easy and it fits very nice
I cant wait to make this for my girls! Great tutorial thankyou😍
This took me a day to do and I love it cant wait to do more Thank you very much the tutorial was so helpful keep doing more videos!

it's really cute and easy to match with stuffff 11/10
I really enjoy your videos please make more tutorials ❤
You are a blessing
это потрясающе!! мне очень хочется связать что-то подобное, удачи всем! 🥰
thanks for watching! let me know if you have any questions
Perfect , i just finished ❤🎉
the sawayama vinyl in the background !! tysm for making this tutorial :)
YASS it’s my roommate’s :)) thanks for watching
Instead of doing a single crochet, I would recommend doing 1 row of half-double-crochet and then switch to the next color. It allows thicker rows of each color.
Loved this pattern, it was easy and well explained and i was abe to make this no problems what so ever❤
I love this pattern
I’m currently following this tutorial and I loooove it, I was wondering if you had a measurement for about how long your top part was for the twist? I believe we are the same size, however I’m only using one skein of yarn instead of two so I think doing 19 rows for the twist may be a tad too small.
yayyy this helped me so much thank you!!
I'm so glad!
Oiii, obrigada pelo tutorial, deu pra entender tudo perfeitamente!!!😊
Made it in blue and white, looks extremely beautiful! i chained a few more than u for a size M and it turned out to be a size L somehow.. need to redo it:(
Hi! Can you also make a video to knit a normal sleeveless top? Thank you!
SO CUTE
❤️
heyy i love the tutorial you are so good at explaining things! the only thing i’m stuck on is how to do the actual twist part of the shirt, for some reason the yarn doesn’t want to twist the way yours does. do you know what the problem might be? like if my yarn is to stiff or maybe i’m just doing it wrong?
I'm absolute beginners 😔❣️😊 for this 🙂
do you know if i could make it have less of a gap for the twist?
Thank you for the tutorial! I reverse image searched from an obviously fake crochet etsy store and this came up haha. Definitely feel better knowing I'm not supporting a stolen pattern at the very least
So cute and adorable! 😙💖💖💖🤗 *hugs you!*
😙💖
😙💖💖💖
It's more purple/orange on the different sides because you turned at the end of the rows, making that side the front side for each color when you turned... ;)
Excelente, obrigada! Estou no Brasil.
thank you 🙌
Can you please get a tutorial crochet slim sweater with heart cut out?
Amazing tutorial! Side note, you are gorgeous☺️
aw thank you so much!!!
Eek i love it! Idk how to post a pic but it is so cute thank you
trying thisoon
heyy! i'm a beginner in crochet and i wanted to use two colors of yarn that i have here, the only difference is the "thickness" of the yarn lines is different and i wonder if there is a problem about that? 💜
Hii love this pattern and been wanting to make a top like this aack! Was curious how many grams you used for your top in your size?
sorry i’m just replying but i used about 68 g/152 yards per color!
The brand that design the top is called Lachant!! Is a knitwear brand based in Barcelona :)
thank youuuuu!
okay so as per our measurment size that many chains we have to make? sorry if i spund dumb this is my first clothing crochet
is there anyway to do a closed back instead of the threaded back?
just spent 3 days doing this and over estimated it’s stretching ability…… i didn’t losen the strings enough and it completely snapped:( i’m so sad because i was so excited and it looks so amazing, it was also my first project ever. I’m gonna fix the remains of the top piece atleast and keep it for memory
Could I ask what you mean by this? I’m making this atm and I don’t want it to snap lol. Which strings? Was it the internal yarn? Or like the straps?
i’m so sorry i definitely would’ve cired
love this! is there a way to make it one piece all the way around, without the lace in the back?
you can! you would just make a wider top than i did and just slip stitch the two sides together at the end. you’ll just have to be really careful to get the measurement right because it won’t be adjustable!
Is there anyway I could make this top without the lace back?? I really want to make this and I think it's really cute but I am a begginer and not a huge fan of backless tops
Thank you for going thru every detail and answering the questions in my head just when they pop off during my watch but I didn’t understand in the first row after the twist on the second side why did u use just one color? I get that it’s a connecting chain but can’t I connect by using the two strands? Thank you again
I chained with both colors so no cut!
I made this over the course of a day and I looove the colours. I don’t understand why the back increased so much because when I measured my first long chain there was a big gap between what would be the area where the straps would be but when I was finished I realized that that gap had become extremely small to the point where the shirt is so big now. I only used 95 chains and a 4,5mm hook with half double crotchets and I feel like I’m about the size of you anna but I don’t know what happened because I followed the tutorial word for word. Guess I’ll have to chain a lot less next time.
it definitely tends to get a bit wider as you work and I also recommend making really loose chains so you can better get an idea of how wide it’ll be!
@@anna-greene thank you!🧚♂️
I have the opposite! My get so tight to the point that its to small.
Does anyone have an estimate on how long the top part should be?
I mustve miscalculated at some point cause i started with 32 inches and now its at like 37 inches 😭😭 So im running out of yarn and i wanna finish the top part before i run out and then just switch to different colours for the bottom half but I dont know if its long enough yet cause I think the yarn I'm using isn't as thick as the one in the video.
Kind of have a deadline cause I'm making this as present for my sister and her bday is tomorrow
This might just end up being a prototype because so far it looks so wonky lmao
Could you make a video on the butterfly top
hey so the yarn stretches alot and im a 34A/B size. i was wondering if when you chained up to 26 inches...did your project stretch at any point making it longer?
how would you make the lower part smaller because my bust is bigger than my waist and it makes the top look to big
okay so i followed ur pattern and made the chain 26 inches long but i’m on my 16th row for the twist part and it is now abt 30-34 inches long and fits my bust! pls help cus now i can’t do the laces ig x
had the same problem, u have to stretch ur chain to the farthest when ur measuring the 26 inches
Loved this Tutorial! But my top slips as soon as I move no matter how tight I lace it up :((
Any tips?
I have a question, how do I make it so there’s no hole under the twist ??
If I have a really small yarn, what should I change?
Love it this is so cute! Is there a possible tutorial somewhere where its like this same top but without the twist?
so just a tube top? you would just do the same as I do just only the bottom part (without the twist) and you’ll do more rows
hello i have a question , do you know if it’s the same thing for more than two colors ? 4:40
Hey! if you’re using more than 2 colors you probably won’t want to work over your unused colors as you go so instead you’ll just fasten off with each color and reattach when it’s time to use that color again. let me know if that doesn’t make sense!
how many inches was the height of the bust part?
does anyone know ho to make the bottom part more poofy and loose? like a baby doll top but isnt the stitch you usually see for baby doll tops yk the see through ones 😭😭
hey guys does anyone know how i could go about making the gap any smaller?
girl lost me at single crochet 😭😭
hey ik this is kind of late but i’m pretty sure that top is originally from a brand called gimaguas
So when you say continue the pattern like so (for the top part) do we continue to chain 1 every beginning of row?
yes! that is your turning chain that lets you go up to the next row
love it! i’m gonna make it for my sister’s birthday. She’s about the same size as the video one, do anyone knows how much yarn do I need? thanks :)
I used about 68 g/152 yards per color!
oiiii gente, fiz e deu super certo. Segue o passo a passo bonitinho e fica top 🙃😊
amiga vc fez com agulha 4.0 ou 4.5mm?
Hi this is awesome! Where did u get your black tank top when measuring?
it’s from brandy melville!
do you think i can knit it instead of crochet it?🥺
I just finished making this top, for some reason when I lace up the back and I try it on, the back bunches up and doesn’t lie flat. How can I fix this? If I loosen the lacing then it becomes too loose. Thanks!
Maybe try making the laces a little closer together when putting them through the top? Does this make sense?
somehow my top ended up too big, like it actually overlaps slightly in the back instead of having a gap so how can I go about making it fit?
I would like to get paper directions hard to go back and check when its on utube
Is it possible with this pattern to just chain straps from the top and turn it into a cross back?
yes, you could do that!
Just finished mine and it sits like a tube on me 🥲
how do you do this if you don’t want the lace in the back?
How would I do this without the tie at the back? I just want a normal bandeau looking top but with the twist still in the front
the issue is that crochet isn’t very stretchy and it’ll be super difficult to get it to your exact size by just crocheting all the way around. you might be able to get away with it if you add elastic to it but you probably can’t get a tight fit by just crocheting a tube top
Can I change colors without working over the yarn like that? I feel like it’s wasting yarn or does it make it easier in the process and cleaner outcome?
you can! you’ll just need to cut your yarn each time and reattach on the next row you need it
Lovely. I have a question. if the wool stretches, does it matter? i mean i still have to start with a chain depending on the size of the chest?
you want to make your chain really loose to account for the stretching that will inevitably happen as you add more rows. you ideally want the finished, stretched product to wrap around your front with enough of a gap to add a lace and tie it once you’re done
just made it but it came out too big when i tried it on🥲 any tips?
Hi, can you make this top with 100% cotton in size 8/4 or would that be too heavy?
I think that would be fine!
@@anna-greene Hi, I've tried making this top like 3 times all the way to the end with the cotton yarn that I mentioned, but it just didn't work. I don't know if I did the measurements wrong - if it was too tight at my boobs - but it was just too heavy and couldn't stay up at all:( I loved the tutorial tho and the top is so pretty! It's a bummer i couldn't make it work, but thank you anyways for the tutorial - I love all your videos
ima need a nice lil tutorial on how to do the twist cuz i cant seem to do it
you just twist it like normal
like keep the left end laying down but on the right part of the rectangle, bring it up so the bottom right corner is flipped upwards to now be the top right corner
if that makes any sense
Does anyone have the generic sizes for S,M,L,XL
i have a question. i think i chained too many for the cutout and it turned out gappy. is there a way to fix it without straying over?
I did this too, hoping it fixes itself if i keep going ...
Hi I’m new to crochet, would it matter if you use cotton or acrylic yarn & are u able to say what weight you’re using?? I also did your shrug tutorial it turned out amazing!!! I love your videos, super easy to follow!
Thank you ❤
You can honestly use either, but i prefer cotton yarn for tighter tops like these because it doesn’t stretch like acrylic yarn does. She’s using weight 4 yarn in this vid btw :)
For thicker stripes do you recommend DC, or doing 2 rows before switching colors?
i’d recommend 2 rows so you don’t need to carry over and work over your other yarn color. that way you can just work with your one color and just drop it at the end and pick up the new color there at the end since you’ll be on the correct side
@@anna-greene Thank you for the advice, it's coming out great so far!
Making this without the back tie part, hopefully I can figure it out 😅
good luck! how are you closing it then?
Hi! Where does the .15 come from when multiplying ? Just curious how u came up w the numbers so i can make my own patterns one day (‘:
that’s just the fraction I found works best after trial and error :)
Can you tell me the top in inches. I made 16 rows but not sure if it is big enough. It’s for my grand-daughter. I made 26 inch length. Her bra size is 32
if i wanted this top to not have a corset back, would i essentially just crochet the measurement i get from measuring all around my bust?
unfortunately it’s not that simple since crochet has no stretch and you’d either not be able to get it on or it would be too loose to stay up
@@anna-greene ahh yes that makes sense, thank you for responding :)
how would i go about making this with one color yarn? (absolute beginner here haha)
that’ll make it super easy!! instead of changing colors, just carry on using the same yarn for each row and do all the same things I show in the video. lmk if you have any questions about that :)
Hi! Can’t wait to start this! I was wondering if there was a written pattern…
sorry, no!
@@anna-greene ok no worries!!
Is it possible to use cotton yarn? What is the difference?
yes! you can definitely use cotton yarn, you’ll just want to use a similar weight to what i used
i made this but the bottom got too big so i recommend doing less chains in the middle
