Most of these aren't joke weapons. They're actually really good, but comp players completely ignore them because they're not stock so they can't be meta.

i legitimately hope more people do this there are too many guns in tf2 that never see any play let alone in comp

its just consistency, there is no real reason to use nearly anything here. its a shame too, but most non stock just gets outclassed in 99% of situations.
@@espressonoob 1. A lot of them are better, because the opponents just dont expect them and dont know the best way to deal with them. Those unlocks can be easily countered, but they may not be practiced to counter.

@@O5MO if something is better just by the incidental variable of player knowledge, then that's just a classic knowledge check and not a reflection of viability in a general scenario where people know what weapons do.
If anything it sounds like the 6s meta is so static and developed that, at some levels of play, the balancing factor of diversity in choice is absent, so no one playing the game needs to learn how to fight stuff, so nobody is forced to learn why weapons are bad in the first place
But I don't play 6s so I wouldn't know what people run at lower levels

As a force a nature user in 6s I endorse this, and am using this as evidence as to why I should use this in our playoff match.
Mini-crits have no fall-off and do an additional 35% damage.
Interestingly, 35% is also the probability that it was actually a mini-crit when Antoni yells "BIG MINI CRIT".
I've been playing Team Fortress since the Quake mod in the late 90s and still play TF2 today. That's how much I love this game. Even so, I've never really even considered played comp, and rarely even watch it because the meta bores me. This has me interested again.

seeing rlly good comp play has reminded me how great tf2s balance is. basically every class except heavy can be absolutely terrifying when played by a great player
that’s why I voted for the heavy update back in MYM and have played the least hours as him. I’ve always wanted more fun and skilful ways to play as him and I think he desperately needs some new weapons

Honestly TF2 is the game that you can take any loadout, with any of the weapons and do well in competitive with them in one way or another and just have a blast!

Antoni revealing it isn't the weapons that need to be banned its just that Comp players can be clowned on comically easily by anyone with a good aim and some gamesense.

small thought, FaN wouldnt be all that bad for 6s right? provided there was one scout with stock for uber pushes, having a third jump would be nice for fighting the explosive classes, and the extra mobility would be nice for a lot of reasons. It would serve a niche similar to the soda popper, albeit tuned down a little no?
The FaN is a great weapon and if you can hit your shots it can have some competition with stock.
yeah i use it sometimes and its pretty decent. It's really hard to fight other overhealed scouts with it though sometimes.
