    About this series:
As we move forward toward Paris, we’re talking to Bay Area breaking legends and rising superstars who understand this new Olympic sport in a way that few others can - and know how the threads of Bay Area culture are woven tightly through it. San Jo south bay in
1995ish to 2000ish we had a *huge* resurgence in the lifestyle.
    Proof:
    1997
    Jason Nevins + Run DMC
    Its Like That
They tried to recapture that 2nd wave.
    1999
    Run DMC
    Sucker MC's
They recorded a music video for their old song.
Both of these came out around 20 years after the original era. You couldn't go to a mall and not hear these 2 songs every 5 minutes in every store. We'd hit up Eastridge,
Oakridge, Valley Fair, Great Mall (always under construction), The Wherehouse Music, or my favorite spot was Streetlight Records for finding all the old tapes or new CDs. My crew was deep into the underground house also. Wild 94.9 had a live show at graveyard hours for like 4 hours straight of house music from DJs that were invited from worldwide... so we could get real time look and feel of the underground sound from different cities, countries, and cultures. It was special while we had it. Fyi it was called House Nation....idk if we can find the old recordings. Lmk if you do.
If you're into Freestyle( we were, we'd pop and break to it ).... get yourself The Mixtress CD collection. She's also from Wild 94.9. She IS the 90s-2000s SJ Bay Area summer sound. St John also, but he had a diff mix style.

These Asian guys have very Americanized voices. They don't have foreign Asian accents.
