The recordings were just completed, and the band is till overwhelmed by themselves about the final result. Vocalist Tony Kakko recently commented:
"There are some instant Sonata-Greatest-Hits songs there, which feels good. I think we reached the result we had in mind, each of us in our own field. We went on to create the next SONATA ARCTICA power metalesque album and I think we achieved it adequately. I have to say that I had drifted pretty far away from those "days of thunder", that speedy happy go lucky attitude. I was happy to notice this style can still make me smile. It's good. Music has to do that to me. It also shows the other older songs in a totally new light for me. I can now understand and appreciate why the fans enjoy what we did in the early days."
The album was recorded and produced by the band at "Studio 57" in Alaveteli, Finland. The mix was done by the band's new bass player Kauppinen. - Hudba
There is more to this band than just being in a specific genre. Sonata are amazing, there are no words to describe this band. i don't care what kind of music they create i will always LOVE this band. Viva Sonata Arctica!!!

Tony is a genius, the best vocalist in the metal scene, Pariah's child is one of the best albums of Sonata I think! I love all album!!
Amo a Sonata porque es diferente a las demas bandas de power metal, eso los hace especiales para mi!! Maravilloso el concierto en Teatro Vorterix ( Buenos Aires, Argentina ), Tony estaba con dolor de garganta y sin embargo su voz estuvo impecable al igual que el resto de la banda, muchas gracias por una de las mejores noches de mi vida, estuvieron geniales!!! los esperamos en Argentina en 2015!
It doesn't matter the names of the genres, the good thing is that they still sound like Sonata Arctica (i still like the epic old albums better tho :P).

Pariah's child is way better album than stones grow her name but extremely weird, songs that i couldn't understand, but that is good because it makes you listen over again.
And I also understand Tony. he wanted a change but most of us didn't used to it yet.
Keep up doing good metal.
