Hello, personally I do not feel q sense of reassurance when I watch her. I feel she impersonates her own sentence : " Death is all around us. We live and we die. We control nothing beyond that. " she is neither indifferent to life or death, she accepts fully both. Thus, she is fully involved in life.
However, it is true there is a great melancholy to her. She does not have the livelihood of lord Krishna, for instance.
Their story feels like a uncompleted poem.... Sad but beautiful 💔 ✨
She loved him because he showed her what it is to be unbridled / He loved her because she showed him how it is to be subtle / A flower and its vine nurturing one another / Now a vine remains without the other
Mariko knew she was doomed from the start and Blackthorne showed her to live even for just a little and she accepted what little time she has making the best of it all.
She avenged her father, ensured the victory of her liege lord, found true love and died well.
If I could use words
Like scattering flowers and falling leaves,
What a bonfire my poems would make.
I love them. I was heartbroken when Mariko-sama died. I wish they live together happily in another universe.
So few love stories have been so beautifully written...
Through their emotions, the characters convey their emotions: sadness, happiness, a sense of powerlessness, and peace of mind. I have a fondness for the background music, it reminds me of the movie Arrive.

Thanks man for putting all these together to create a memory for lifetime. Their story is like a poem... Which leaves you in awe and wanting more and more to reach nowhere. Just to be in a journey so we can be together and experience each other's company till the last breath.

They never say eachother i love you. But the eyes and words saw what feelings have eachother. Everybody feeling something eachother.

The real life William Adams did marry and have a full life in Japan both as a samurai and a naval engineer

@@shani3861 She married Buntaro but has never loved him the entire time they were married. That made him bitter and physically abused her. Every year she asks him permission to kill herself to join her family in death and he denies her. Even at the end when he finally allows it and wants to kill himself with her she says 'never in a millions years id rather live forever than die with you'. She never wanted that Toda name it was just a way for her father to protect her. Her final words were to say she is Akechia Mariko not Toda Mariko is her way os saying her family and Toda is not her family
