What I love about Black Sabbath is their complicated simplicity.
Well Put Jimmy ❗
This album has more layers, more texture, more instrumentation per song, yet manages to maintain that classic Sabbath sound. Love this album!
My absolute favourite Sabbath album, and certainly one of my favourite Black Sabbath tracks. Sensational!!
AGREE 100%
I love when the Straightener comes in galloping like a dusty ass Cowboy in a Spaghetti Western .
Great comment!!!
Isn't it amazing that so many lovers of music have never even given Black Sabbath a chance, a listen to, or got to enjoy their music just because the name of the band? You guys know what they are missing out on? But because of you guys having an open mind have got to expand your music catalog. Thanks again guys and your thanks for your show!!!!
Can't wait for you guys to get to their progressive albums. Sabbath bloody sabbath and and sabotage
This album is very progressive - Can you play Cornucopia? Although you are quite right about the two following albums, they are sublime.
@@mojobag01 this is definitely. Ore progressive than the previous albums.
I love u guys for this!!! Geezer is god, ozzy is his prophet, bill is the chaos, tony is the breath of life!!!
The original Black Sabbath is the best rock band of any kind, ever.
Long ago I wandered thru my mind
In the world of fairy tales and stories,
Lost in happiness ,I knew no fear
Inocence and love was all I knew.
Soon the days were passing into years, happiness just didn't come so easy.
Life was more than fairytales and daydreams, inocence was just another word..
It was an illusion........
Great lyrics.. growing older and seeing through the naivety of youth. Then the existential dread of the futility of existence, and the general contempt that naturally follows concerning the aforementioned innocence.
You guys will love Supernaut
SUPERNAUGHT! SUPERNAUGHT!, SUPERNAUGHT! SUPERNAUGHT! SUPERNAUGHT! Laa, you gonna love it!!
Awesome album, this will be a great ride!
I’m excited for this one.
The great thing about this opener you can hear Soundgarden rage against the machine Alice in Chains all with drums that occasionally veer into jazz swing. It’s great
Volume 4 = the greatest heavy metal record of all time IMO. Hail!!!
Great Sabbath reactions, loved all your LZ reactions too…, so informed and intelligent. Can’t wait until your reactions to my favourite Black Sabbath album. The mighty SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH! Much copied and emulated…., never ever equalled!🎸🎤🎹🥁🎸
Some of Bill`s best work.
I fell in love with this amazing DRUMMER the first time I heard WAR PIGS. Crazy good .
YYYYEEEEEESSSS !!! Finally the grinding killer Wheels of Confusion !!! Thank you from Ned n Janet in Spain !
Some of Bill's finest work is on this album. Vol 4 is tied with Sabbath Bloody Sabbath as my favorites...really digging your journey through these albums!
The Wheels of Confusion lyrics are epic! My 2nd favorite Sabbath album, listened to since 1972!
thanks for doing this album....you will be rewarded when you do...supernaut....and snowblind.....2 sabbath classics...that stand out on a great album!!1
They just hit harder. Always did.
WoC: The One Riff to rule them all!
Amen. One chord. Nothing more needed
I saw them live back in the early 1970's just as Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was released, they played many of Vol 4 tracks as well as most of their then 'new' album, it was one of the best concerts I have seen.
Coke era Sabbath.
And yet they still managed to make this masterpiece.
Well done guys!
Fun reaction.
I love the outro "The Straightener." Probably my favorite part of the Vol. 4 album.
This album was produced by Tony Iommi and love the sound of the guitars.
Love the station too. You guys are awesome. Best reaction channel by far. 😊
This album, along with Master of Reality, seems to be the favorite Sabbath record among contemporary stoner/doom metal musicians.
Love BS’s 1st five albums, but the 5th, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, is the MOUNT EVEREST!
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is my favorite is well. Such a great album!
Can’t wait for you boys to react to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. One of my top 3 of all time, absolutely peerless!❤
Volume 4 forever baby
Let's go!!! More Sabbath, yes!!!
The first 6 albums are Awesome!!! My favorite is Black Sabbath!!! The storm leading into The Wizard is the Best!!! Love the Harmonica!!!
Tomorrow's Dream another awesome track
This song, as well as many beyond it are "their story"
The world will still be turning when your gone.
Black Sabbath has some cool lyrics From Spiral Architect:
Superstitious century, didn't time go slow.
In Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, they are at rheir peak. Check it out, best hard rock band ever.
The whole album is a funky psychedelic masterclass.
Back in my youth and pot days. I wore this album out when it came out.
Yeah! Great album opener as Sabbath embarks on a new journey in the Vol 4 tunes as they come up with new and exciting song structures and a small change in their sound and approach. These guys often are creating new ways of approaching heavy music in the 1970s, you will notice they always sound like Sabbath but each album in the original run of great albums sounds unique. We debated back in the day what to call some of their music and innovative songs, they really have a progressive metal gene that surfaces in songs like the one you just heard.
All I know is they blew has away, every album and tour just always delivered, they never let you dpwn, just changed a bit over time. Sabbath rules!!! Next...Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎶
Love the straightener- especially the start
Love this album by Sabbath. The musicianship is phenomenal. Great reaction gentlemen. Bill is a monster on this album. Wait till you get to Under The Sun? It’s got a phenomenal grove to it. Love what you are doing…
Chillin in the basement. Lava lamp. Smoke filled. Yea man that was part of the soundtrack fellas 🔥
The most consistently great album of Sabbath. Other have their gems, but this is the whole package.
I liked Vol. 4 alot way back when. But..the first three are much better in hindsight,IMO. T
Killer album. Looking forward to reaction for this great album
Awesome album.
the best fade out ever...
Awesome and mean album, I love it!
Snowblind off this album has the nastiest groove of all Black Sabbath songs in my opinion
Álbum magnífico
The Straightener cranked to 10 with headphones is why im half deaf now.

Still my favorite Sabbath album.
WELL WELL WELL HERE WE GO GUYS, 4TH ALBUM!!! 👍😊 RIGHT ON LAH AND CHI, GETTING CLOSE TO MY FAVORITE ( SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH ) 😊
Fave guitar solo
This album takes me back to years ago when I worked in the middle of the night and would drive on dark roads for hours, great jamming music!
Probably my fave Sabbath album. "Evil Woman" is another bangin' track off of it.
Wait for it.....Supernaut! The most badass of all badass Tony Iommi riffs.
This song alone .......
That really is a killer grove on the drums
Favorite Sabbath album, thank you for reaction gents!
This is fire!
I've been waiting for weeks! The Straightener is so killer!
Been waiting for this one. Love to see you hitting up Volume 4. Amazing album all the way through. Well done guys!
Such a monumental album! Can't wait for SUPERNAUT... Guys, please do FX & Supernaut together ! package deal..
Black Sabbath at their most finest hour. There are 2 short songs and an instrumental on this album. Tomorrows Dream was created as the record company wanted a 3 minute single. St Vitus Dance was a short filler for the album and so was Laguna Sunrise(and instrumental). Fun fact: The record company demanded a certain number of songs per album, typically BS recorded 6 killer 6 minute+ songs. So they would add instrumentals such as "FX"...which is just sound effects on the guitar..and they would double name songs to get to the number they needed.
Don't bother setting up to react to "FX". It is just a space filler. And St Vitus Dance was just a short add on as well. Laguna Sunrise is an instrumental.
My favorite...I think.
Great album!
My favorite Sabbath album. More refined, mature, and better produced audio.
This album is dope heavy
Bad Company - Live For The Music
Just for future reference. When you get to Heaven and Hell with Dio (which you will) . and then Mob Rules. Make sure it is the original studio albums (78 and 81?). I only say this that because Sabbath reunited with Dio later. Anyways, hats off, as you are the only guys i see truly looking at the depth of their music.😊
BANGER!
You should check out the official videos for Heaven and Hell, Neon Knights, and Lonely is the Word, and Die Young from the Heaven and Hell album. Bangers!
Deep cut heaven. The first album they recorded in the US.
YES!!
Thanks!
Thanks my friend!!
Beutful song. I love .Black Sabbath. .perfect music
Hey guys ........... This song can change the WORLD ..................I love you guys , i love the fact that you love my favourite song of all time , i have a few though , songs and music changes the world .......JUST STOP NATO
Vol4, is a killer!
I can always only remember this as being Wheels Of Confusion. When did the Straightener part get added?
Wheels Of Confusion my favourite Sabbath song on probably my favourite album.
The Straightner is the end instrumental.
Black Sabbath Live At Last Snowblind
Thanks! More from Vol 4 please!
Awesome!
Supernaut
The number of times I lit up the black light and strobe, and lack back and let this album loose. Man! Thanks for bringing up that memory.
Awesome fellas. Love Sabbath ...so heavy, but so melodic. Their music has such a dark, rich feel.
This is the Sabbath album that always surprises me how good it is. Like I’ll avoid it for awhile and then be blown away when I do go back to it.
Probably the best sounding Sabbath album. The first one they produced themselves. If you listen closely you can almost hear the paranoia from the copious amounts of cocaine they consumed while making it. First time recording in the US. Like kids in a candy store.
Can't believe how much you get sabbath. Every album has a different t vibe. Bout still has a sabbath feel. Can't wit t you guys get to 13. Then you get to see how they always rock. ❤❤❤sabbath
Fyi My fav song on this album is Supernaut and in my BS top 5 then totally diff 2nd fav Snowblind Cocain lol
Are you ready? Yep! Go Laa,Go Chee! Sabbath rules!!
Love your reactions. Best band ever. Hope you guys enjoy joy as much as I did ba k In the early eighties.
To me, the verse riff of Wheels of Confusion is unbelievably unique and one of the highlights of their discography. It's so repetitive and so COOL, who else even sounds like that? (Other than bands influences by it) Ozzy's delicate melody over it puts me over the moon. One of my favorite Sabbath songs, off my favorite Sabbath album. But every song is great and they all have a cool sound, so there's plenty in store for you.
Legend. This is where some music came from.
I always thought "The Straightener" sounded a lot like the theme to "Underdog"... 🤘
Great track that sets off Vol 4...But please, also, you guys should do a reaction to a song off the album behind you, Piper At The Gates Of Dawn...Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd...
Maybe LA could give a drummer's perspective on what he makes of Bill so far. I'm an English guitarist but I'd love to hear an American drummer's perspective on the man who is probably my favourite percussionist.
After everything I’ve heard, I think Bill is my favorite as well. His use of jazz in his playing blows my mind every time.
@@AirplayBeats There is plenty of remarkable drumming on this album.
One of my fav tracks 🔥🔥🔥
The band was getting tighter and they were finding their direction, sadly they didn't know it yet but they were slowly losing Ozzy to drugs.
Easily my favorite album! If you haven’t finished the album or did it yet please listen to st.vitus dance🙏
Too have your first one or two albums to be great is amazing but too have your first six albums that are great like Black Sabbath is unheard of
