I got the CD box set, they sound amazing. Now if we could finally get that Born Again remix.
A Born Again remix would sell out like crazy. 💰
Got all except Forbidden on original cds but I have ordered the cd version of this box set. So I'm waiting for it. This era of Sabbath is the one I come back to the most. Awesome music and so underrated. Love them all equally. I wish Eternal Idol was in the set as well but it's ok that it isn't. It got a pretty nice remaster a few years ago. Tyr and Forbidden are the one's I've listened to most out of these albums soooooo I guess they are my favorites 😏
It’s great to see people finally giving this era love now. I bought a lot of these albums as they came out and got so much shit for it. Nobody seemed to like this era of Sabbath back then. Except for me. At least it felt that way.
A couple of things the live record should have been in there. With a bluray or dvd. The original cd came with a vhs of the show. It was on IRS records too so there should be no reason why it was omitted. Secondly, yeah the inner sleeves should be there. Yes, the lyrics are in the book but still it makes the actual records seem not quite right. That being said the records themselves are in great condition.
Other than that the box is great. I bought both. Cd snd vinyl. Keep in mind the cd set has two bonus tracks from the original Japanese editions of Cross Purposes and Forbidden. Both actually really good songs.
Yes they will be reissuing those as individual albums
Been seeing this boxset and I am still debating on picking it up just to have a copy of TYR, the Tony Martin era is my favorite oddly enough even though I love all Black Sabbath. I have everything else but the remastered versions of these albums which are definitely a highlight.
Having these albums back in print has been a looooong time coming. Some real gems can be found on them. Happy for Tony Martin as well. Long live Sabbath🤘
Damn, I bought the cd set, but this vinyl set is tempting. I may have to get it, too.
Have bought the entire Tony Martin era on the original cds for less than $30. Lol. Not all at once tho. Eternal Idol is the best from Martins years. Purchased it new on cassette,then about 6 yrs ago for a dollar at The Salvation Army.
Eternal Idol was Sabbath’s last album with Warner Bros Records. They got dropped shortly after it released and then got signed to IRS records.
Thats what im afraid of. That there will be individual reissues with gatefolds amd colored vinyl. Thats how I want a Tyr album.

I just peeled that sticker off and put it on the back side of that outer sleeve and then put it in the Box

The cross-purpose live album is on a different label that's why they could not do it

Yeah it’s owned by another label so they probably didn’t get the rights for it.
Eternal Idol was on Warner Bros. There was a deluxe remaster of it though, highly recommended.
The live album is not no longer owned by IRS records it's owned by a different company that's why you don't see it it's a whole other legal thing
These are not being released individually so get them now
I'm sure these will be without his individual albums eventually

They did it that way to replicate the album itself since none of those were gatefold albums

@@richardhincemon no Richard I didn't get it unfortunately it sold faster than I was able to get it I couldn't believe it I went down to my friend's record shop and he said it all sold out fast and he said it's on backorder but that doesn't mean anything he said if they make more of it
@@richardhincemon the little bit I've heard it sounds better definitely better on the Forbidden album totally different album really sounds good might be one of the best albums they had with him
@@mikekeeler6362Yeah the remixed will definitely sound better than the Remastered edition CD if you have a graphic equalizer you can make adjustments yourself that makes sonic improvement. The box set is selling great and made to #9 on the charts in Germany. I believe that they are already going to make a second run on BMG entertainment and Rhino Records. Cheers have a great weekend talk to when I find out more about the Tony Iommi solo album hopefully this year 😊.

They need to remix headless cross sounds a little dated my favorite two are cross-purposes and forbidden

Eternal Idol is Warner Brothers they just wanted to do the four IRS albums and cross-purposes live is owned by Emi records so they could not do that
Eternal Idol was already written by Geoff Nicolle and Ray on W.B.records and Tony Martin just went in and added his vocals to the finished his vocals to finished album in one week he didn't take part in the writing process for writing process of Eternal Idol on W.B.records .only on Headless Cross,TYR,Cross Purposes and Forbidden for IRS Records. 😊
Cross Purposes live is owned by PMI entertainment company not IRS Records. They would have to work out on another contract .

Did you say you picked this box for $50? I wanted to get the cd version but at that price noway i am paying for crappy cardboard sleeves. I hope they will eventually release them individually
