Here in 2024!!! I was just at Walmart today before watching this video and looking at Walmart yarn and wondering if it would be safe to use on hair. So glad to find this video bc now I’m convinced about trying out yarn on my hair.
Make sure the yarn isn’t made with wool.
This is going to be my whole winter hairdo! It might take me a week to do it, but it will be worth it because when your hair is wrapped like this and you moisturize your hair, honey chiiiii, your hair will be sooooo moist and so healthy when you take these out! As a braider myself and someone that use to wear yarn twists and braids I am going to do this style it’s been awhile since I’ve done them on myself or anybody else they take forever the prepping of the yarn definitely helps and your yarn locs looks amazing.. well I know what style I will be doing next 🫶🏾

Love! I had my hair braided with yarn and absolutely loved it. Lately I've been in to the faux locs. I had no idea that wrapping with yarn would be so beautiful. I'm definitely doing this when I take down my current style... and ohhhh the money I'll save. Tfs.

I used this video to try the style and loved how it turned out! I took the yarn out of my yarn braids hair and used that, plus scraps to do it and I didn't have to spend any money, but I have a brand new style now. Thank you very much!😁

Thank you 💕 Honestly it’s hard to explain how to do the back yourself, just position your arms as comfortable as possible. 1 arm might be up in the air and the other by your side. Just figure out what is the most comfortable for u. Hope that helps!
So you can also do box yarn braids too. I’d love to see your tutorial on that at some point!

Lately I really don’t do anything while my hair is in a protective style. I don’t oil my scalp or anything, just wear a bonnet or scarf at night.

I don’t install any hairstyle tight, so no it don’t hurt. It’s all about how the style is installed
Whats stops the unravelling of the yarn, always go wrong on that part?
If you wrap the yarn tight and not over lap the yarn it won’t unravel. Follow the steps shown in this video the yarn will not unravel. I’ve been doing this hairstyle for years and never had a problem.

I used 1 Jumbo pack. If u can't find the jumbo pack, 2 regular packs should be good
